Maria pensive. The shadow of someone he had seen just now flashed across his brain. The man looks familiar. Maria was sure a thousand percent she recognized the back.
But is that really Gabriel? Or, Maria just mislooked? Could it be that he missed Gabriel too much to the point of hallucinating?
"What are you thinking?"
Maria was aghast, her eyes glancing at Gibran from the mirror. The man was sitting on the couch playing a cell phone. "Ah, no. That ... do we really have to sleep in the same room?"
Gibran looked up, "You feel uncomfortable?" tanyanya flat.
Mary stammered immediately, "Bu-Not so. Not that I'm uncomfortable. Instead I was worried that Koko was disturbed by my existence."
Reason. Just tell me you're uncomfortable. The whisper of Mary in the heart.
Gibran did not answer. The man looked at her indifferently and returned to focusing on the phone.
Maria scowled, she turned to face the mirror and continued her activities using skincare. But occasionally his eyes were on Gibran. More precisely he examined the state of the man's hand which is now wrapped in sleeping pajamas.
Honestly, this is the first time Maria has seen Gibran in a different way. Throughout their stay together, Maria only saw the man wearing a suit and shirt.
Another by now, the man appeared much more relaxed in dark satin pajamas. Even so his aura remained strong suffocating the atmosphere. Instead of fading, the charm of Gibran is actually many times sexier than usual.
Gosh darn. What he thinks. Maria immediately shook her head trying to shake off her strange feeling.
Before long someone knocked on the door. Gibran stepped up from his seat and saw who was coming. Apparently a room service officer who delivers food. The officer left after he finished his job.
Maria patted her face completing the last set of treatments. She moved out of the dressing room to approach Gibran. His eyes stared at the various menus on the mostly western-themed trolley.
"This is Koko who ordered?" mary asked, sitting across from Gibran.
"Hm."
Maria nodded. His attitude turned to the man who was still focused on looking at the phone. I don't know what Gibran was doing with that square thing. His face looks very serious. Must be a work problem.
He thought they were going to eat out. But, yes, anyway, tonight Maria is lazy to go anywhere. I don't know, his body feels a bit limp and lethargic. Though all day Maria was only in the room, undergoing a series of treatments.
Maria put the plates to the table. Then start tasting one of them and eat it voraciously. He had just come home from the party, but his stomach was starving from eating nothing there.
"Coko doesn't eat?" Mary saw Gibran still dissolved in his world. "Eat. Save the job first. Can't that be done later?"
"You go first" he said without looking.
Maria shrugged, enjoyed her dinner again and tried not to care. Just let Gibran behave as he pleases. After all, it did not make Maria lose.
Half an hour later Maria managed to devour the three menus on the table. Make no mistake, their portions are very small, it is natural that he eats more than one plate.
Amazingly Gibran still did not budge in his place. The man did not touch the food at all. Maria wonder, does everyone always forget to eat at work?
Again Mary tried to ignore. He went to the bathroom to brush his teeth, reuse skincare in the area around the mouth that was washed, and lipbalm on the lips.
Almost ten minutes passed and he saw Gibran still in the same position. Jesus, isn't he sleepy or tired? It's 11 p.m.
Old Mary counted sheep in the hope that her eyes would soon be closed. He almost floated into the dream if only the sight of Gibran who was careful scooping food was not caught by him.
The thing that disturbed Mary for no apparent reason. Mary should have ignored it and gone to sleep. However, seeing Gibran's unusual way of eating makes him instantly get up and get out of bed.
Gibran was unaware of the arrival of Mary who was now beside him. The man seemed to seriously point the spoon from the plate to the mouth. Perhaps in the eyes of others there is nothing wrong considering Gibran's flat countenance expresses nothing.
However, Mary, who knew Gibran's hand was wounded, clearly caught the difficulty Gibran was trying to suppress.
The man did eat well and elegantly, but his movements seemed slower and impressed carefully in balancing the spoon.
Maria took a long breath. He thought the reason Gibran had refused to eat earlier was because of this. The man told him to eat first under the pretext of work. But now that Mary understood, Gibran simply did not want the way it was eaten that Mary saw.
Mary approached, without a sound she held the spoon that almost entered Gibran's mouth. The instant the man fell silent, his countenance did not even show surprise. It seems Gibran is indeed an expert at playing expressions.
"The new shop will be finished in the early morning if the way to eat is like that."
"here. Let me bribe." Mary took over the spoon from Gibran's hand. But the man avoided it by distancing his face.
"no need. I can do it myself."
"Yes. And Koko won't sleep all night because she's busy eating. What is wrong with asking for help in times of trouble? Does that include embarrassing things?"
Gibran looked up, and this was the first time Maria had the desire to flash the pupils of the eyes that always highlighted that flat.
He also moved to overtake between Gibran and the table, making Gibran immediately retreat and almost lean on the back of the sofa. The man's forehead wrinkled thinly, looking at Maria with a look of wonder.
"Open her mouth" said Mary, pointing the spoon in front of Gibran's face. The woman was sitting next to him.
Gibran, who did not respond to Maria, clucked. It is difficult to deal with people who have great prestige.
"Coko wants to eat?"
"What do you think you're doing?" Gibran asked another question.
But Maria was unperturbed. I don't know where he got his courage from tonight. "Coko has to eat, or later can't sleep because of hunger."
"I'm not hungry."
"really? But it looks like your stomach is saying something else." It felt as if Mary wanted to laugh when she faintly heard a voice from Gibran's stomach.
Next to his eyebrows, he motioned to Gibran to gobble up the food on the spoon that Mary was holding.
For a few seconds the man was still silent. Until then his breath was stifled long before he finally scooped up the food that Maria offered.
Gibran chews with a flat look. In contrast to Maria who now smiled broadly felt victorious.
Bribery after bribe Gibran swallowed with Maria's help. He even spent five menus at once including dessert.
That night, the two seemed to forget the distance that had previously stretched.
