Gibran led Mary who was unceasingly circulating a glance. In his arms, the princess slept peacefully. Gibran held Mary's back from behind as she climbed one of the steps.
Two months after the kidnapping incident occurred, Gibran can only invite Maria and her daughter out because the condition of both is not possible to be invited out.
"This ... Where are we going?" maria asked, looking up at Gibran.
Gibran only responded with a smile. "Just watch your steps, watch for falls. For the question you know too."
Before long they arrived at a magnificent building that looked sparkling in the morning sun. His brilliance captivated the eyes even from a considerable distance.
"Whose palace is this?" ask Maria plain.
Gibran chuckled, but the tightness swelled as his feet swung and led Mary in.
"Hawning open, dear."
"Oh?" Maria immediately took off her flatshoes and walked in following Gibran.
Throughout the corridor Maria is endlessly amazed by the interior and design of the building which she thinks more closely resembles the Ice Queen's palace that was washed up in the sauna field. So eye-pointing and attention to the difference.
But, since the place was far from the hustle and bustle of humans, this place was so peaceful and serene.
"It's a real diamond, huh?" Out of curiosity, Maria finally ventured to touch one of the poles she passed. Since then the pillars there that most attracted the attention of Mary.
Gibran only commented on the subtle smile. Without answering, Mary can distinguish for herself which diamonds are real and fake. The wife bought jewelry.
"Original," muttered Maria dumbfounded. "Gosh, Son. Did Daddy make you a palace?" Mary looked down at the baby in her cradle.
Gibran's next step led them into a room similar to a vast hall that was empty and open in pure white stretched by the luster of marble. The smell of flowers touches the sense of smell.
Gibran was silent, Maria also stopped her steps when her husband suddenly flinched. Gibran's eyes looked straight ahead, making Mary subconsciously turn to see what made her husband so fixated with a dim face.
Mary understood at once when her eyes found a magnificent belly button covered in marble with a golden gravestone.
Mary stepped out of Gibran to approach the navel. A photo of a beautiful aristocratic-faced, mixed-Asian-American woman tucked between the flowers surrounding the navel.
The name Sandra Willis was engraved powerfully and beautifully with a golden luster. Mary looked back as she felt the embrace on her shoulder. Gibran stood beside Mary with his eyes out of the belly button in front of them.
"This ... who?" ask Mary to be curious.
Sandra, Maria heard that name in the hospital. And Maria's first guess fell on the meritorious woman who saved her from David Willis' shot during a kidnapping 2 months ago.
"My Mom" whispered Gibran with a slightly blank look.
Maria was stunned, her eyes slightly bulging in disbelief as she looked back at the navel. Sandra Willis's. Right, same name as David Willis, Gibran's grandfather.
That means ... This woman is her in-laws?
Mary's plan was to sit next to Sandra's tomb. His hand raised trembling rubbed the headstone then took the figura there to examine it more deeply.
This ...
"Tolooong ...!"
"Help! Somebody help!!!"
Maria attempted to revolt when several men dragged her into a narrow alley in the middle of the city.
Some of them held her body, while one man tried to kiss Maria when a gunshot suddenly floated on her head.
The man fell down in front of Mary. His head was covered in blood by bullets.
The rest of her friends release Maria and come forward to face the shooter who turns out to be a woman.
Maria observed the unbalanced fight with concern. He hastily reached into the cell phone to contact Aaron, but he was made to gawk when all the men of large bodies were uprooted with gunshot wounds on each of their bodies.
Maria gulped staring at the woman fixated. Beautiful and strong, that was Maria's first impression when she saw it.
"Thank—" her sentence stopped in the air because the woman just left.
Realizing that she was alone with the body in the alley, Maria ran after the woman.
But before that he had seen the emblem on the clothes of the men, it was the same emblem that Mary often saw in the shirt of Willis' men.
So they're David Willis's man?
"What's your name?" Maria asked as she ran in sync with the helper woman.
But the step was lost far by the long legs of the woman until when she reached the end of the alley the woman had hunted into the car.
"E-uh! Thank ... you." Maria waved while grimacing. "Gosh, who is he? It's so pretty."
That woman is Sandra Willis. They meet for a second time, at the end of Sandra's breath, who again saves Maria from life threats.
"Ma'm .." whispered Mary.
She was unable to speak when another fact was revealed that Sandra was the mother of Gibran, the mother-in-law whom Mary had been secretly questioning.
Apparently, Sandra the rescue woman was her in-laws. Their past and present meetings are both in similar situations. It's the difference this time around that Sandra lost her life protecting Maria.
"Plums?"
Maria looked.
"What's wrong?" asked Gibran who was curious to see his wife flinch.
Maria gulped before answering quietly. "This woman .. she helped me out of pursuit of David Willis' men."
Gibran was not surprised, actually recently revealed, the perpetrator of the hospital fire last time was Jim, on the orders of David Willis who wanted to harm Maria.
Sandra and her secret actions often make people fooled by the mask she uses outside. Gibran really did not understand the way the mother's mind is always beyond logic.
"Alisandra Wiranata's. Can I put that name on our daughter?" Maria asked for approval.
Gibran looked at the old wife, before nodding with a smile that seemed to agree with Maria's proposal.
Maria smiled back. "I want her to be strong as well as her fearless Grandma. Elegance and strength, those two things really amazed me."
Apparently, Sandra's services as a mother don't just get there. The woman also donated one kidney to Gabriel, who was diagnosed with kidney failure as a teenager.
Gibran learned of it from the health and hospital files Sandra kept in the safe.
Sandra was known to be evil all her life. However, his death was particularly fragrant in the history of the Gibran and Maria families.
Gibran grabbed Mary by the shoulder and dyed her hair, which had been cut short since giving birth. He also rubbed the delicate face of Alisandra who was blinking cutely with plain eyes.
"My Sandra and Maria, you two are the most beautiful gifts in my life."
