Gibran ignored the voices around him. It exhales cigarette smoke until the white puff is in the air. The noise of the vehicle down there did not interest Gibran at all.
This is probably the first time he has smoked in 5 years. Gibran didn't really like the smell of tobacco, but I don't know what to do now, while the two unluckiest men in Gibran's life were in Maria's room.
It was Abhimanyu and Romanjaya Wiranata, both of whom Gibran really did not want to see. The reason why he chose to pull over to the roof and leave the job unfinished. Gibran is better off getting out of the way than having to mix with them, let alone dissolve in a conversation that he does not like at all.
The smoke came back from his mouth. Gibran stared into the distance with a meaningless blank look. Not daydreaming, he was just trying to enjoy solitude.
The elevator behind him opened. Abhimanyu got out of there and walked over to Gibran. He stood up for a moment before he decided to step down beside the man.
They were silent for a long time. Gibran who did not understand the arrival of Abhi, Abhi who actually dissolved in silence. This was a rare moment for him, sitting together with Gibran without doing any activities. Just shut up and breathe each other.
"Gabriel called me." Suddenly Abhi made a sound. "His love was pregnant, but he didn't know how to marry her properly. The girl's parents don't approve of their relationship." He also chuckles with his arm. "This is the first time he has complained about women. Suddenly I felt like I had a poor kid living overseas."
Then he sighed. "I knew he was wrong for easily betraying Mary. But somehow on the other hand I felt all this was right" he continued muttering.
Abhi turned to the loyal Gibran speechless. The man was still busy sipping the tobacco tucked in his finger. "Son, can I ask you something?"
Gibran was silent, but he did not forbid Abhi to express his curiosity.
"What ... Do you really love Maria?" ask Abhi carefully. "It's not just guilt about past events, is it?"
As a father who often observes his son even from afar, Abhi quite knows what has happened in Gibran's life. Including his weird problems.
Silent. Gibran looked pecked and stopped smoking for a moment. He then snorted half-laughingly, his expression tending to be cynical and a little annoyed. "Why are people so happy to talk about love?" Gibran turned his head to look at Abhi with a small glance. "Especially a divorced man like you," he sneered loudly.
Gibran again threw his face forward. "Stop asking as if we were close. We're not that close to talking about personal matters."
"Mary is my privacy, so is our marriage. You or anyone else has no right to know" Gibran said.
Abhi tight-lipped. He nodded in understanding and threw his eyes away from Gibran. He knew it was presumptuous, but Abhi was only curious because one of his confidants had reported about Gibran who often had special meetings with his friend who was a psychiatric doctor.
Of course he was very worried. But seeing Gibran who was reluctant to open up Abhi was very understanding. First it's not something that's easy to tell, second they're not close enough as children and parents.
Miris indeed, but how else, regret will not change fate.
Abhi sighed trying to relax. He turned his head and glanced at the cigarette box and the bat beside Gibran. Without permission he took a stick and turned it on to be sucked.
Gibran only glanced at him at a glance without even intending to forbid. The two again dissolved in silence without realizing the elevator door that had just closed swallowed someone.

"Grandpa lost! Yeee ...!!!" Maria cheered until her body almost surged, but then she grimaced by her aching hand.
Roman sneered half a frown. They just played an online game and fought each other. And Maria won.
"Even, winning is proud. You've never felt like winning a tender of tens of billions." Roman grumbling. "It is fitting that today's children are rarely smart, his generation is a hobby of playing around."
"And again, Grandpa did not need to say that because of the shame of losing continuously," added Maria who immediately made Roman as if a beard fire.
"Jeez, this is— this child's base—" Roman was unable to speak until his voice faltered.
Maria smelled an amused smile. "Don't look at anything with one eye. If Grandpa insulted this game, it would be the same Grandpa insulting Koko."
"Why is that?" Roman glanced at the cynics who instead looked humor in Maria's eyes. I don't know, none of his expressions really upset him.
"Because this game is one produced by the Koko company," said Maria proudly.
Proud, dong. Who wouldn't be proud to have a super-rich husband like Gibran? His title alone made others itch wanting to boast.
"Oh ..." Roman couldn't say more.
Suddenly the door of Mary's ward opened. Gibran entered, followed by Abhimanyu behind him. Both Roman and Maria stared at the two with their mouths half-open. Since when did the father and son become close?
Was Maria wrong? Could it be just a coincidence?
Maria glanced at Gibran as she moved her brows. Gibran brazenly ignores Maria and breezes into the bathroom.
"Omo ..." murmured Mary in disbelief. "Did he just ignore me?"
Roman grunting. "Don't exaggerate. Maybe he can't stand peeing."
The sentence invited the crisp laughter of Abhimanyu who was now approaching rubbed Mary's hair. "How's your hand?"
Maria smiled lazily, "Of course it hurts, Papa."
Abhi smiling. "Patient, yes. Maybe three more months will recover. Eat lots of protein and calcium and other vitamins. Don't eat junk food, yeah."
"If junk food from the first Mary did not eat, Pa. And lately Koko also often masakin me."
Maria's words attracted both Roman and Abhi's attention.
"Gibran can cook?" The question came out of Abhi's mouth. Roman was relieved because his curiosity was represented. He still has the prestige of talking to Maria.
Hey, who can forget what happened at that fruit market?
Maria gnashing. "Papa don't know, huh? Koko is good at cooking. The cuisine is even on par with the big chefs. And it feels like not to be asked, Maria got hooked. Even during the early pregnancy Maria could not eat anything if it was not Koko who cooked."
That fact made the two men there dumbfounded at once realize one thing, that they did know at all about anything regarding Gibran.
By the way, why is Gibran so long in the bathroom? Is he getting a pup?
Without Mary knowing since then Gibran just leaned behind the door. He didn't even turn on the tap or poop though. Just be quiet with a look and hands closed.
