Chapter 26: The Carberus

Elizabeth positioned her sword as something came to her, slowly the silhouette of a human body approached and she saw a girl staggering at her.

"To-please."

Right he said that he fell to the ground, behind him was a wolf moving forward ready to prey.

Elizabeth creates a spear with her ice magic and it sticks well through the bones of her skull, the wolves that move around her finally running away leaving the girl alone.

The girl wore adventurer clothes usually with a sword on her waist, red hair tied to the side.

Leaving it clear would make her die, Elizabeth took out a potion worth 10 gold coins that was far more expensive than any potion, this potion could heal one's body in no time.

He drank it and then put it in the girl's mouth through a kiss, slowly he opened his eyes and blushed embarrassed by the scene.

There was a gulp and the girl immediately retreated.

"Well, what just now? Uh, I'm cured."

"I saved your life so thank you."

"Thank you very much."

The stomach sounds.

"We have meat eat as much as you like."

"That looks good."

Elizabeth gave him water.

"Thank you, I thought I'd die."

"You're not the group that came with us how long have you stayed here?"

"Maybe six months, all my comrades are dead only I'm still alive here."

If she could live that long she should have been able to defeat the previous wolf, that question was immediately thrown at the girl who admitted herself named Noel.

"Actually I feel a strange thing about this island, the monsters here are getting stronger every month so I guess that they are gaining power from the crystals in the middle of the island as well as eating the flesh of the adventurers."

Elizabeth cuts through the flesh of the Boar and inside she finds fragments of purple crystals.

"This?"

"I was expecting it, if you're careful you don't have to go to the middle of the island to get it."

"I don't think there's a lot of monsters eating it anyway instead of this coming out of Carberus' shit."

"It doesn't matter which one is the most important that the crystal has a high price."

"You really said it."

The next morning, Noel officially joined Elizabeth's party for a while, although he wanted to go further and further from the middle of the house, it did not mean that no other creature had attacked him, the best way to live is simply to follow Elizabeth's group who seem strong.

They had killed hundreds of monsters together, Elizabeth standing in a pile of corpses while looking forward, in the middle of the island there is a cliff mound around which is filled with purple crystals while in front of him Carberus with three heads sleeping quietly.

Behind the trees Marisa said.

"Are we going to attack him now?"

"That was reckless, I saw some adventurers who had come here let them try it first."

"Ms."

"Noel what about you, you're going forward too?"

"If I've come this far, I'd like to be a Rank-S adventurer."

Everyone agreed to it with a nod before turning their eyes towards the appearance of the other adventurers on the other side.

They tried to move silently to not wake Carberus, so far smoothly that they could move forward, when someone stepped on the wooden branch of Carberus's eyes opened until they were shocked and began to attack them blindly, unfortunately Carberus was stronger which easily uprooted them through brutal attacks, some wanted to escape but they were tragically killed.

There was a witch from a different party who threw sleep magic at Carberus and it worked enough to make him lose his balance and collapse easily.

"So that way can also be done."

"I know it's not ordinary magic, it needs high mana to do it" Marisa replies thus.
