Chapter 48: An Unexpected Development

Elizabeth sighed softly, her existence clearly ignored by these robbers.

"I'm still here."

"Haha you are not affected by the fungus in other words you have no mana, if so you are not a threat to us."

In a blink of an eye the woman was pushed away by a chunk of ice and froze with the tree holding her back.

"How come? It doesn't make sense."

"Is the mushroom non-toxic?"

"Not in this world can anyone withstand its poison except a dragon."

Elizabeth smirked happily with a row of dragon teeth in general.

"You're a dragon."

"Looks like you've been committing this crime a lot, I thought your nest wasn't far from here either."

"Please forgive us, you look like a knight so you'd rather catch us."

"You misunderstand one thing, if you get caught you're just going to jail and then do the same kind of justice that I have that's not that naive."

"Gwah."

They all froze then into ice dust blown by the wind.

"Don't come any closer, I'm sorry, stop."

Their entire members had been slaughtered by a dragon that they should not have touched.

Elizabeth goes to her base and does the same, each time she finds one person she unhesitatingly freezes until upon arrival in prison she calmly takes out several female captives.

"Thank you very much."

"Go away from here, I think I have things to do."

Elizabeth had a keen sense of smell that if a person was inside an iron chamber she could find him. He smashed the door and saw a man sitting at the table.

"So you're the leader."

"You don't have to make any pleasantries, you're from Wisteria, aren't you."

"Why do you know?"

"I can smell the same scent as them or honestly you are..."

The man pulled the sword from his waist which he launched towards Elizabet, it was not an attack that was at a low level but rather a power that had been sharpened for a long time even so Elizabeth held it back.

"So then, you aim to destroy this kingdom from within by making everyone distrust the performance of the kingdom."

"Your instinct is very powerful but I just have to kill you then this secret will be erased forever."

They both threw attacks at each other. It gave rise to a huge explosion that left every passageway shattered until both of them shot out of the building.

Newly rescued people gathered in one place with Elizabeth's party mates.

"Will he be okay?"

"Just calm down our chairman is very strong."

Above the sky Elizabeth flew with her wings and so did the man she faced just that it was not the wings of a dragon but the wings of a demon.

"Devil sided with Wisteria instead of it being ridiculous, since when did demons get along with humans."

"I'm just using them, we have different goals as well."

Elizabeth had heard something similar from Venuzuela, when the demon lord was repulsed some incomprehensible demon races were still hiding in the shadows to take revenge they had not expected to do this so far.

The man in front of Elizabeth introduces himself as Lucifer.

"Thanks to your resistance against Wisteria we finally easily took over Wisteria, this is really easy."

"What do you mean?"

"Now Wisteria has fallen into the hands of the devil."
