Chapter 72: A Hero

Raider swung to slash at the several iron puppets chasing after him, he looked at the man who moved everything and then slid at him with a kick which hit him in the face until he was level with the ground.

"Haha do you think that thing just hurt" he shouted.

She was an elf who had once attacked the capital named Linus.

"The next attack will be more painful."

Five puppets ambushed Raider from all directions forcing him to retreat while swinging his sword in a defensive position.

"After killing you, I will kill all humans haha."

"I told you you better forget about the past, you can start a new life.All Elves now have a place to live."

"Shut your mouth, I won't be affected, before man dies I won't forgive anyone. Artemis has saved this world but you're treating elves as you please this is the payoff."

Even though Raider was not involved, he was blamed for the crimes of others, which clearly the man in front of him had lost himself.

Raider pityed a little but letting him continue to live would also keep him injured, at least Raider wanted to save him with a short death.

He jumped to the side giving a deadly slash to knock the puppets down, before he could not do it but now it was different.

Each puppet was controlled by a thin thread made from which, by flowing a sword with mana as well, he was able to cut the thread.

Linus's face turned pale as he saw his puppet just being toppled over.

"I still have something else" he said with a forced face.

Magic circles appeared in the sky and from just about an army made of armor sprung up.

"If the High Elite Demon succeeds in conquering this world then you humans will no longer stand a chance."

"It will also have an effect on the elf race."

"No problem, I'll think of another way to kill the demons."

"You said something silly."

The entire army of armor began to attack Raider in unison, he swung as the entire puppet chased him back.

"I'll destroy everything, Artemis look at me. I'll make them all pay for treating you unfairly."

Raider dropped some before sliding elsewhere while dodging the attack, but he soon got up and hid inside the building while watching the surroundings.

"Cih... is endless, I must kill the user immediately."

"What?"

"Your phone is not very effective on people who already know it."

Linus spurted blood as two swords stabbed him from the front.

"Impossible."

"When your sister tried so hard to save this world from the demon lord but you chose a different path, she might be sad to see it if you did."

"Raiders."

"Don't worry, I will protect the elf race.Unlike you I have always considered Artemis an extraordinary person wouldn't even choose a path like this even though she isn't considered a hero, what he wanted was not the recognition of others but peace for everyone."

Raider drew his sword until Linus fell to the ground. At the moment of his death he had seen how his sister was reaching out to him with a warm smile.

"Artemis."

"I came to pick you up, brother."

"Sorry."

"Don't think about it, everyone's waiting for us. Let's go."

Raider re-inserted his sword while kneeling before the body of the elven man who had lost his life.

He was just a brother who loved his sister too much. Raider thought it would be better if later he was buried with his sister's grave.

A soldier appeared shortly.

"Commander, the Wisteria palace is suddenly destroyed, what should we do?"

"You're telling all the enemies to surrender including the demon race, and we won't hurt them as prisoners."

"We understand."

Raider decided to go towards the palace alone.
