Chapter 30: The Mastermind of the Capital Incident

Noel came here and there to help many people around him, he met a small child with his mother, brought old grandmother's groceries and even gave advice to new adventurers.

Her figure was clearly more radiant than a so-called hero, Elizabeth noticed all that while biting the apple in her hand.

"Just go home."

As she decided to take the road a little more lonely her face paled, there Ciel who was wearing a cute dress looked up at her.

"I shouldn't have been through here, goodbye."

"Stop, what are you thinking?"

"You're definitely waiting for your girlfriend, aren't you."

"You're misunderstanding, I'm undercover to investigate a murder in the city."

"Don't tell those people."

"Yes, there's been a couple of murders out of town like they know that Mr. Leonardo came here and now they're definitely trying to get in."

"They've been messing with lives."

Ciel leaned against the wall.

"Lord Leonardo said that there were people who instigated them to do this all, but still they did cheat to get the victory of the battle."

"If so, the third party was likely the one who controlled the dragons as well."

"What do you mean?"

"There are some dragons attacking the city because it is being controlled."

Ciel held Elizabeth's shoulder.

"Why did you just say it, this is important news."

"I'm not 100 percent sure."

"Even next time you have to say it as little as possible."

"Next time I'll be careful."

"That's great, as a punishment today you'll accompany me."

"Because I'm not busy I don't mind."

Ciel feels grateful that Elizabeth wants to come with him, she is adventurous over if there is anything she does not want to be a very reliable person.

As the night approached they found nothing, beside his vast city it was difficult to see everyone at once.

Elizabeth found an easier way.

"Let's look from above."

"No."

A pair of wings appeared on Elizabeth's back.

"Eh? W-what, isn't that dragon wings?"

"Actually."

"Uwah.you kept a lot of secrets to me, even more so you turned into a dragon."

"It's not something special."

"It's impossible, if other people knew it wasn't weird everything would catch you."

"Therefore please keep this a secret, until the conflict of men and dragons can be resolved."

"I understand."

Elizabeth took Ciel up the city and from there they could clearly walk everyone under the lights.

"There's a suspicious man."

Elizabeth could see several black-robed people running around the alley. Without waiting, Elizabeth knocks Ciel down and with her punch Ciel destroys one of them while the other begins to escape instead of retaliating.

"They ignore us to kill adventurers."

"Look at this Elizabeth I don't think they're human."

Elizabeth saw a head held up by Ciel's hand and it was made of iron including her body.

"They're just dolls, Ciel you take care of them I'll find out who did it."

"Understand."

Elizabeth rose back up into the sky, her smell and sight dragon-level if she concentrated a little it was not difficult to find her.

"So you're there."

He darted at high speed, swooping right between the trees and flying around with ease.

A man in black robes turned to Elizabeth who had already drawn her sword.

"So you're the mastermind."

"Geez, it turns out this city is harder to infiltrate than the capital."

The man unfolded his robe and displayed pointy ears as well as long blonde hair.

"It's not that you're an Elf, so you're also the mastermind who tried to steal the eggs from the capital."

"Haha, that's right, man, I didn't think I'd get caught so quickly."
