Baji with Matan

Caraka's treatment of me this morning helped me a little. Yes, even though it's like a diversion because everyone kind of forgot about what happened two days ago, and is more interested in discussing my relationship with Caraka. Not a few who looked at me with envy, judging from top to bottom while sneering as if I was completely inappropriate for the Prince. But not a few also support our relationship, such as Shanty, and other front office colleagues.

It turned out that entering work was not as good as I imagined. I thought I'd get a look of pity or maybe even disgust, but I didn't. Even when the briefing of all the front office sections praised me for daring to fight two people who did not have that ethic. They applauded me with great fanfare.

Dika, Mr. Edi and his male colleagues all apologized because they were not there at the time to protect me, which instead provoked temptation from other colleagues.

“Kak Kirana does not need Kak Dika, Pak Edi and others,” said Shanty made everyone start to smile teasingly.

“What do we mean that only the shrimp behind the bakwan compared to Bos.”

“Hahaha.”

“That's a shame, Shanty already suspected that Mas Boss and Kirana's sister had anything to do in the cafeteria at that time!”

“So who often send messages when you keep in front of it .. Pak Continental?”

Grimacing I nodded to answer Mr. Edi's question which immediately looked surprised with a gaping mouth.

“So what you said that day is true, if you are her lover Mas Bos?” This time Olive asked curiously, making me smile while nodding.

“Cause Mas Bos to Mosquito.”

“Mas Boss really cool!”

“Honey, baby! You're all right? You're safe now, there I am …. Aaaahhhh!!”

Shanty was trying to imitate Caraka making everyone cheer up and load me down while I covered my face in embarrassment.

“But Kirana's sister is also cool!” shanty exclaimed with sparkling eyes and brandished his two thumbs.

“Iyaaa .. brash guys like them do have to be slammed, kicked constantly on tease!!!” Olive furiously stomped on the floor as if she was stepping on someone. Everyone laughed while agreeing.

My decision to go back to work was not wrong, to be around people who support us as if injecting my confidence again. Once again I have to be grateful to be surrounded by people who love me and are amazing.

Regarding some female comrades who looked at me with contempt for my relationship with Caraka and considered me inappropriate for a Carak Continent, I will just ignore (for now) my own mind is already dizzy with yesterday's case, I don't want to add my mind with other useless things.

Author, pov.

As Caraka guessed it was only a matter of time for Big Boss to find out about Kirana's case. So he was not surprised again when he got a call to come to the Commissioner's room, but what surprised her was that Kirana was there standing in front of the desk of the commissioner secretary who looked at her with a condescending look, looking like they were having an argument.

“Honey, what are you doing here?” Caraka quickly walked up to Kirana who was instantly relieved to see the man.

“Big Boss contacted me and asked me to come here.”

“Why are you still standing here?”

Kirana sighed, her eyes glancing at the Secretary who now looked nervous.

“He can't believe that Big Boss contacted me directly.”

“Father did not tell me if there was an appointment with .. him.” The secretary who looked haughty with the dark blue blazer tried to find an excuse.

“The boss here is my father not you, so my father does not need to report or permission you with whom he will meet,” Caraka said making pias the secretary's face. “So why didn't you call your boss immediately to ask if he had an appointment with MISS KIRANA, or not?”

The Secretary is seen swallowing his saliva hearing Caraka's firm voice.

“Sa-me .. will ask Mr.”

“No need,” utterance Caraka stopped the hand of the Secretary who was about to reach for the phone. “Honey, we are in now .. Papah must have been waiting for us.” Caraka embraces the plate Kirana leads to the door with the sign Rudi Mahesa, and the Commissioner under the name Big Boss, next to him is engraved with the Mahesa group emblem, in the form of a large M in a circle.

Tok – tok – tok.

“Log in!” Rudi Mahesa's voice came from inside.

In the room Rudi Mahesa was talking to Dimas.

“You two sit down, there's something we should talk about.”

Kirana and Caraka looked at each other, then sat on the front guest sofa of Dimas, while Big Boss as usual sat on his throne.

The room of Rudi Mahesa, twice as large as the Caraka room, with a guest sofa coated with dark brown skin that feels comfortable, the interior of the room that seems elegant and luxurious, and the, the giant glass wall shows the view of Jakarta City above the height of the 14th floor, where from a distance Monas looks majestic, almost the same as the view on the rooftop, where from a distance Monas stands majestically, but of course here is more comfortable with the cool air than the coolant and fragrance of the room.

“I heard what happened to you a few days ago .. are you okay?” Rudi Mahesa looked at Kirana who was sitting slightly tensely beside Caraka

“Iya, I'm fine.”

Kirana looked at Rudi Mahesa before she finally nodded in understanding.

“But, we will be a little difficult to win this case,” continued Rudi Mahesa made Kirana look at him confused.

Kirana turned her gaze to Caraka looking for answers, but Caraka just fell silent with eyes radiating anger.

“Why? Isn't there CCTV footage, and also witnesses? My colleague who served with me can be a witness to how he verbally abused us.”

“We only have one witness,” Dimas said.

The teary-eyed man who is still fairly young, maybe only a few years above Caraka, but his ability in the field of law is no doubt.

“It has been set in KUHAP the minimum number of witnesses is two people, and CCTV can only display visually but not with audio, for verbal evidence of abuse it is weak evidence, and the,” continued the teary-eyed man made Kirana limp.

“So that means they will be free just like that, after what they did to me?”

“No, they will not be free just like that,” Caraka said while holding Kirana trying to give power to Kirana who looks angry and desperate.

“Regarding additional witnesses we can look for him,” said Rudi Mahesa made Kirana look back at him with a little hope. “There may be one of the guests who saw and heard about what happened, and is willing to be a witness.” Kirana nodded with hope coming back. “But we should not be too hopeful with that, and .. do you know who you will be dealing with later?”

Kirana fell silent, her brows furrowing in thought. Why should he know who the baj*ngan are? What Kirana knew were the baj*ngan who only dared to demean women with their depraved actions.

“Hadian Izam Noor .. You've heard of it?”

Kirana shook her head, hearing the name she had just heard.

“He is one of the people who is quite powerful, and .. one of the baj*ngan is his son.”

At once Kirana felt weak, the hope that had reappeared was blown to the bottom. When power and money play a role here, it doesn't take a court to figure out the end of the case.

“Their lawyer has filed for a suspension of detention by providing security deposit,” said Dimas who got a nod from Rudi Mahesa.

“Sial!” caraka cursed with rage.

“Kirana, it all depends on you .. do you want to continue this case to court, but at the risk we will lose there due to lack of evidence and witnesses.”

Kirana was speechless thinking, although she knew she would lose but at least she wanted to fight first.

“Are we really going to lose?” kirana asked with eyes looking at Dimas, trying to find a bit of hope there.

“In addition to the lack of evidence and witnesses .. to be honest in our country verbal abuse has not been specifically regulated in legislation, so we can only take a conceptual and case law approach.”

“But he's not just verbally abusing! She ... she ...” Kirana's body shook again in light of the incident two days ago.

“I understand, but I apologize ... it can only be interpreted as low-level abuse.”

“Low level? How can!”

Kirana really does not think, how can there be a word only or only in a crime? Yes it may be true for people who see, they could just comment .. just kissed doang, really! Or just held until the police report .. but for the victims there is no word only or only, still it imprints and can be a trauma.

“And let's not forget who the person behind them is.”

“What is so great about people with power and material abundance that they can escape the snare of the law?” Kirana was already completely desperate, the confidence she had this morning was now as if returning to zero when she realized her defeat even before fighting.

“I know enough who Hadian.” is Rudi Mahesa broke the silence making Kirana catch her. “And for those who knew him getting a sentence from Hadian was scarier than getting a court sentence, and it was the same for his children”

Kirana furrowed her brows at Rudi Mahesa's words.

“At this time Hadian must have heard about his son's case, but he has yet to find out who the real victim is.”

Kirana increasingly did not understand the words of Rudi Mahesa who looked relaxed. Rudi Mahesa was silent for a moment, her eyes looking at Kirana and Caraka who continued to give the girl strength.

“Kirana, the decision is in your hands .. are you going to proceed the case to court with the most likely loss due to lack of witnesses and evidence, or ...you entrust this to me and Caraka.”

Kirana stared silently at Caraka and Rudi Mahesa alternately, their eyes shining with confidence.

He thought for a while .. When the law could not ensnare them for lack of witnesses and evidence, was it time he handed it over to the capable?

He will forgive the person if the person only steals money, a cell phone or maybe even his favorite motorcycle red, because it can all be replaced with a new one. But when self-respect and honor were snatched away, where would he look for his successor? No one was selling it, even that nightmare would continue to follow him throughout his life.

After all they had to get their reward .. so it was better that he gave everything to the more capable. Wouldn't a lion be better off fighting a lion again?

Bersua wedge with matan .. strong resisted strong.
