“Truthful cake ya!”
“Cakepan, Oka, Bu,” Oka said while eating tofu fill.
“Away, woi far!” seruku with a mouth full of bakwan plus cayenne pepper.
“Iya, far away my sakepan right, Brother?!” oka said casually making me cluck.
We are currently watching the Korean drama The Heirs played by Lee Min Ho, the favorite actor of Indonesian mothers.
“Not bored what, Mah, watch this mulu?”
“If you see that handsome guy there is no such thing as bored,” Mamah said with a smile. “Nih, the results watch drakor during pregnancy,” continued Mamah while patting Oka proud shoulders.
Oka does look more like Korean actors with a height of 182, white skin and a sharp nose, her hair a little brown. I don't know where he got that gene from, and that's why I used to prick him up a lot by saying he was a kid picked up from Osaka train station.
“Just the fate is not as beautiful as Korean dramas,” said I who got a nod of spirit from Oka.
“Mah, is there no possibility that Dad is a wealthy businessman who one day gave us a legacy of billions of rupiah?” oka asked with a serious face, but then grimaced as my hand landed on the back of her head.
“Despectedly do not height, ntar crazy.”
“Instead imagining it should be high, Sister, mumpung free.”
I fell silent then nodded while looking at Oka seriously. “Well, what if it turns out that your biological parents are rich and influential people in Japan? That makes more sense!”
“Not funny!” yelling Oka while beating me with a sofa cushion made me flutter and hit her back.
“Don't fight here!” mamah exclaimed with her eyes focused on Crystal and Minhyuk who was playing paint ball. “There are guests, open the door there!”
A knock on the door made me and Oka stopped hitting each other.
“Bukain there!” I pushed Oka until she fell out of the chair.
“Basic girl barbarians!” yelling Oka while walking with her hands stroking her buttocks with a beautiful smile from me.
“Who to look for?” I heard Oka's voice from the front.
“Kirananya is?”
I frowned while biting to know the content of hearing someone looking for me.
“Ada ... who is it?” Oka again asked in her typical cold voice.
“Caraka.”
Uhuk-uhuk!
Instantly I choked to know the contents of hearing the name of the person who was looking for me. Mamah immediately looked at me with round eyes and a wide smile made me drink immediately then stand up and walk quickly forward.
“Hei!” I cried when I saw the Boss standing in the doorway after previously pushing Oka aside until it hit the wall, “Masuk, yuk! Aww!” I grimaced as my hair was pulled by Oka who had now escaped inside. “Include, Boss!” I smiled again and brought the boss inside.
The boss sat in the living room of my humble home. My house is only a type 36 house, consisting of a living room, family room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, with a little renovation by adding 1 bedroom above to Oka, with a little renovation, washing and drying clothes.
The boss stared around the narrow living room, there was only a set of sofas, cute trinkets neatly displayed on a corner table, and abstract paintings by Oka that adorned one side of the wall.
“What do you drink?”
The boss looked at me for a moment looking doubtful before finally asking, “Can't we drink it outside? There's something I need to talk about.”
“Can! Of course you can!” the sudden exclaim of Mamah joining us surprised me. “Change there! Let Mamah accompany Caraka here.” Mamah pushed me out of the living room making me look at her in disbelief. “Beautiful dress!” the whisper before returning to the living room left me still confused.
Ah, you Mega Ma'am, at least strong when you see a handsome guy!
An hour later I was sitting at one of the famous toast cafe tables on Jl. Alternative Cibubur, not far from Trans Studio Cibubur. The boss sat down with a cigarette in between his fingers, today he looks different it seems like there is a lot he is thinking about in his head.
“Why?” ask me while looking at him after handing over the menu and order to the waiter.
“It's okay.” The boss poked his index finger over the cigarette until his ashes fell on the white ashtray.
“Ckk .. Boss, it is impossible to suddenly come home, keep talking outside without anything.”
The boss only smiled and fell silent for a while before finally saying, “My parents contacted.” His weak voice made me look at him seriously.
“Terus?”
A waiter came with our order, hot lemon tea, cheese toast for me, and a hot cappuccino, nutella bread for the Boss.
“Iya, I know.” I sipped a sweet-tasting lemon tea with a bit of fresh acid.
“And you know for what event it is?”
“No, but I heard someone rented it for an event.”
“Biriday ceremony.”
“Anniversary ceremony? In Kenanga ballroom?”
The boss nodded while sipping a cappuccino, then returned to smoking his cigarette after putting his cup on the table.
“That's company's birthday?”
“Not, but someone's birthday.”
I was amazed to remember the Kenanga ballroom is the largest and most luxurious ballroom in our hotel that is commonly used for large events.
“And whose birthday is ..”
“Santoso.”
“Aaaah ..” I nodded my head understanding that the one who rented the memorabilia ballroom for the birthday was the prospective fiancee of the Boss.
Until now, not many know who Anggi Santoso is other than one selebgram with the nickname the real crazy rich Surabaya. I once saw his Instagram when my colleagues were curious about the figure who was predicted to be fiancee ‘Mas Bos’. And, yes ... see the photos that he shared there, it's only natural that it was dubbed crazy rich, it was crazy to make us waaaah and woooow. Although until now we have never heard anything about the family business, but considering Rudi Mahesa to dare to tie an arranged marriage between his eldest son and Anggi Santoso, he said, you can be sure his family is not from any family.
“And your parents called you because it had something to do with the party?” I cut the toast full of cheese with a knife, then started to bribe it.
Like me, the boss started cutting and eating his nutella toast.
“Say he doesn't have many friends in Jakarta yet, so his family asked me to accompany him at his birthday party tomorrow.”
I stopped chewing the bread for a while looking at him, before going back to eat my toast.
“Her partner, Boss, is very close to his family.”
“I've never even met his family in person. Only ever met at office events.”
I wrinkled my eyebrows confused.
“But didn't, Boss, earlier said that his family asked the Boss to accompany him to his birthday party.”
“Oh, it's through my parents.” The boss has finished his bread now back he sips a cappuccino. “Anggi and his family live in Surabaya, so do not know many people in Jakarta only a few people. So Anggi's father asked Papah for help so that I could accompany him at the birthday party tomorrow because his family could not attend.”
I was silent for a while then snorted laughing while shaking my head, making Boss furrow eyebrows.
“Why?” tanyanya's confused.
“Tidak .. It's just that I don't understand the way of the minds of the rich.” I gulped down my warm lukewarm lemon tea. “If I were Anggi, I would celebrate my birthday in Surabaya, among friends and family instead of here by renting a five-star hotel ballroom, but no family would come. Maybe there will be celebrities or other famous people, and there will certainly be conversations on social media, but are they not just strangers? Maybe they know each other, but not so close ... or maybe he deliberately celebrated his birthday in Jakarta, let's get closer again the same.”.
I intentionally emphasized on the word prospective fiancee, making her smile.
“No need to be jealous like that.”
“Who is jealous?”
“Hahaha.” The boss lit another cigarette before returning to say, “I give my parents conditions if tomorrow I am willing to accompany Anggi at her birthday party.”
“And that condition is?” ask me before sipping lemon tea after finishing my toast.
“Cancellation of our matchmaking.” His voice sounded confident, as well as the look in his eyes that exuded seriousness in his speech
“What Big Boss agree to those terms?” ask me while returning to sip my drink.
“She said she would think about it.”
“So not sure?”
“Minimal I have a 50:50 chance to break this matchmaking.”
I nodded in agreement.
“So can I go with him Saturday tomorrow?”
I stared at him who was also looking at me. I don't have the right to give him permission or to forbid it. He has no obligation to tell me or ask my permission. Our current relationship is not that deep to tell each other let alone ask permission when wanting to do something, but hearing from his mouth with soft eyes looks at me as if I was the important thing in his life, she said, making the feeling that I had been trying to ignore slowly burst out and began to break down the defensive wall.
Ah, crap! Prince's virus is too dangerous, my immunity almost raised a white flag.
