Farewell (Separture)

After getting permission from Mamah as well as Caraka, I immediately processed my resignation at the hotel. My colleagues were surprised to find me filing a resignation letter all of a sudden, but they ended up happy after finding out I got a better job.

HRD made it a little difficult for me with the rules I can go outside after a maximum of 30 working days or until I get a replacement, while Candra asked next week I was already in Surabaya. And finally inevitably I asked Caraka for help to ask for a waiver from HRD.

As I thought I only needed one phone call, my resignation was immediately acc, and Monday was the last day I worked as a front office staff at Grand Hotel M.

Monday as planned is the last day I work at the hotel. After work I purposely went with my colleagues from the front office to celebrate my farewell party. I couldn't have invited them to eat sea food or chicken pecel at five feet, considering this was the last time I treated my comrades, so I decided to take them to eat at one of the restaurants on Jl. Veteran, not far from Monas is also the hotel where we work.

The restaurant has an indoor area as well as an outdoor one, and since the men are smoking there so we decided to choose an outdoor area. A fairly large and comfortable restaurant with tables and wooden chairs neatly arranged under umbrellas that make shade, plus trees that are deliberately planted to add a beautiful impression.

Various typical foods of the homeland become one of the characteristics of this restaurant, from chicken caught from Aceh to papeda served with spicy gravy fish from Papua, Indonesia, and the price is quite affordable with a taste that is no less delicious than five-star restaurants.

“Calm down, Brother, during Brother in Surabaya I will keep Mas Boss so that no one dares to flirt,” Shanti said after spending a serving of rice and chicken taliwang that she ordered.

“Don't believe the same Shanti, Na, there is also her front who will marry Mas Boss,” always Dika who can sayutan agree from others.

“During Kirana in Surabaya, that means Mas Boss back to the stock exchange girls all over Mahesa group.”

“Agree!” the women exclaimed after hearing Olive's words.

“Be careful of you, do not dare to approach Pak Continua if you do not want to be slammed with Kirana,”, said Mr. Edi while igniting a cigarette.

“Hahaha... if only hammers is free, as long as you don't dare to mess around,” my words make them laugh again, but it doesn't stop Shanti, Olive, and Linda who are even more tempting.

Our ordered food plate was empty and the waiter had cleaned it up, on the table now there were only half-drink glasses, we were still laughing chatting while enjoying the afternoon atmosphere. The clock shows at 6 when Caraka comes to make Shanti, and the others back up.

“You eat?”

“Let's go,” Caraka replied while sitting next to me and smiling to make Shanti, Olive and Linda come back excited, and I could only laugh while shaking my head looking at the three of them.

We talked for a while before finally saying goodbye to go home first, and unexpectedly they gave me a watch as a memento.

“Often used yes, Na, so always remember us-we,” said Mr. Edi while greeting me make me touched.

“No need to worry you will definitely find a lot of friends there, but do not forget us - we are.” I nodded while greeting Dika.

“Success there yes, Na, contact us if you need a friend to vent,” said Olive in a choked voice and trying to smile while hugging me.

So also with Linda who hugged me tightly while whispering, “Good there ya.”

“I'll miss Kirana.” Shanty immediately hugged me with teary eyes making me tear up.

For two more years they became my comrades, we laughed, wept together. There are many memories that I cannot possibly forget that have been my life experiences and lessons.

“Ceng,” tease Caraka when I get to the car and my tears are still out.

“Makanya tomorrow anyway you can not take me to the airport let alone get to Surabaya.”

“Why?”

Caraka's car turned left towards Jl. H. Juanda.

“Because I will definitely be very sad .. wear it really.”

“Hahaha, so don't go, just here with me.”

“It's only three months, after that I will be back, so ... don't mess around!”

Caraka laughed again. We have passed through the Mabes AD office then turn left towards Jl. Veteran II, then turn to Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara, we are currently heading to the Istiqlal mosque located on Jl. Widjaya Kusuma, not far from us is currently only takes less than 5 minutes we have reached the largest mosque in Southeast Asia, along with the reverberation of adzan magrib.

Seeing Caraka's face after the prayer is probably one that I will miss the most when in Surabaya later, or maybe I will miss everything from him .. aaah, why did I become mellow like this? Come, Kirana! You go only for three months, after all Jakarta-Surabaya can be taken less than 2 hours by plane. But still imagining we were going to go our separate ways left me re-stricken with grief.

We won't be apart for long, but why does this heart feel so heavy to leave it. Don't be weak Kirana! This is all for the good of everyone .. so that later I can confidently stand beside Caraka.

“Kabarin me when I get to.”

I nodded in understanding. At the moment Caraka's car has been parked in front of my house, but we are still sitting in the car as if reluctant to part, because from tomorrow the distance will completely separate us.

“I'll visit you as often as I can.”

“No need often-frequently, I must be busy with work and try to adjust there.”

“I will still visit you.”

I can only smile at hearing that stubbornness.

“I’m gonna miss you (I'll miss you so much),” he said while stroking my hair.

“I also.”

The mellow feeling from earlier whack finally reached its peak made me immediately hug him who hugged me tightly.

“As long as I'm not around, don't dare to mess around,” I said in a choked voice. “I'll come right away when I hear you walk with another woman. Remember my friends will be watching you.”

“Iya, Darling.” There was a laugh in his smile while stroking my back gently. “There is also me who is afraid that you will be approached by many men there.”

“Let's just calm, my standards are high now. I won't glance at another man whose standards are below yours.”

“Hahaha.”

“The problem is that your standards are now down, and around you are so many women who are more everything than me.”

Caraka let out a hug, she now cupped my cheek after wiping away my tears that had not been felt before rolling.

“What are you talking about? Precisely now my standards are really high .. It will be difficult I find a beautiful woman, smart, tough, independent, very loving to her family, and who certainly can take the heart of my family ... like you.”

I smiled hearing it.

“You are very lucky to get me.” I looked at him while smiling at him.

“Hahaha .. yes, I’m so lucky to have you as my woman (Yes, I am very lucky to have you be my lover),” she said with her trademark smile that made me fall in love, her hand back stroking my hair.

“Me too, very lucky to have you.”

She smiled again with eyes staring at me affectionately, her hands now cupping my cheeks before her lips finally kissed me softly.

I think ... This is also one that I will miss from him during my stay in Surabaya.

Carnival, pov.

Taking off Kirana for a while turned out to be heavier than I had imagined. This is one of the reasons I have been refusing Candra's request to ask Kirana to hold the Surabaya branch. It took a long negotiation with Candra as well as Papah to let Kirana go.

After her meeting with Kirana, Candra was very confident that Kirana was able to fill an important position in the Mahesa group retail. Candra cheated after I opposed Kirana moved temporarily to Surabaya, Candra immediately spoke with Papah who decided to entrust retail electronics which is a new subsidiary of Mahesa group.

At first of course I was against not because I didn't want him to get a better job, but because of his remote location. I would be happy to remove Kirana from the hotel if for example the place is still in Jakarta or Bandung which is still fairly close, but Surabaya? It is very far, although it can be reached by plane in less than two hours, but still the name of the plane is not like an online ojek that anytime we need there.

Not to mention I won't be by her side to guard her and protect her. Is he gonna be okay in there? What if someone bothers him again? And various other fears that make me even harder to take off Kirana.

But seeing what happened yesterday made me have to take the hardest decision, which was to let him go for a while. All for her sake in order to come back again with the confidence that she used to be, so that she could come back to me like the Kirana I knew the first time. Kirana who is always optimistic, but also realistic although sometimes actually her imagination is not much different from her mother and sister (this is let only be my secret, because if she knows I think like that, she knows that, he would definitely dispute it).

And one more thing, if he thinks I'm just going to leave it unattended. He's wrong, because I've prepared everything for him. But of course it's a secret, if he finds out .. guaranteed to be rejected.
