42. The New Home

Before 12, Sadiyah had finished cooking all the dishes. There is fried chicken, capcay, sambal dadak, karedok, fried tempeh and tofu, and of course the chicken claw of mercon and angsio. With the help of rice cooker, rice is also ready to be served.

30 Minutes later, Aki Musa's entourage arrived at their new home.

“Iyaaaah..Mother kangen.” Indriani immediately hugged his favorite son-in-law.

“Daddy also misses Mother.” Sadiyah kissed the back of Indriani's hand and returned the embrace of her in-laws no less tightly.

After kissing the hand of the indriani, Sadiyah kissed the back of the hand of Aki Moses and Joseph. The same thing was done by Kagendra.

“Teteeeeeh..Lena kangen very much the same time. Where's the mercon claw, Tea?” Alena hugged her sister-in-law tightly.

“You bought a house didn't tell us. All of a sudden you tell us for a new home thanksgiving.” Yusuf protest.

“Let's be a surprise, Bah.” says Kagendra cuek.

“If you say Abah can contribute advice or funds.”

“That's why Aa wouldn't tell Abah. Abah is scared to be ngerecokin.”

“Basic of brats.” Indriani grabbed Kagendra's ear because he was upset not to be told about the construction of his only son's new house.

“Anghe sick Ma'am. You like to be chatty if you know.” Kagendra gives a reason why she did not tell Aki and her parents about her new home.

“Ya. The most important thing now is that Aa and Iyah stay at home so that later when they have children ready with a good environment unlike in the apartment building which, according to Aki, is, the environment is not too good for the growth and development of children.” Aki Musa mediates the debate between the child and the parents.

“Daddy also just notified Aa two days before moving.” Sadiyah protested also because it was not involved in the construction of their house.

“Sgratiramin.” said Sadiyah and Alena compact and after they laughed giggling while Aki Musa and Yusuf smiled at Indriani who bullied her son.

After lunch, they prayed together with Joseph as their priest.

“Your houses are quite spacious. How many rooms?” ask Aki Moses.

“Below there are two rooms, one for guest room and one if there will be ART stay. For now, we do not need ART that stays. Mostly, there are people who clean three times a week like in an apartment. Above are two rooms, rooms for us and for anyone who stays here.” Kagendra explains the number of rooms and their designation.

“Have you prepared a room for your child?” ask Indriani suddenly.

“Unthinkable. Pregnant not yet. Later if indeed Sadiyah is pregnant, we use the room on the second floor.” explained Kagendra.

“You plan to have how many children?” asked Joseph without further ado.

“There is no plan amount.” said Kagendra firmly, while the red hue has adorned Sadiyah's face.

“Mother suggested you have as many children as possible. It's lonely to have a little child. Now I'm just sorry that I have only two children. Try first, we have many children, Bah, we will not be lonely as now.” regretted Indriani.

“It's fate that we only have two children, Mom. Having two children is already an uphill battle for Mom.” Joseph again remembered the hard struggle of his wife when pregnant Kagendra and Alena.

“Means just a lot of grandchildren yes. Iyah, I hope you will have many children later. If you can have twins, because our family does have twin genes. Her cousin Aa is a twin. Aa is also a twin. Alena could not wait until she followed Sadiyah into the kitchen. Likewise with Kagendra who followed Alena, curious about the taste of processed chicken claw which from morning prepared by his wife.

Two kinds of processed chicken legs presented in front of Alena and Kagendra. One plate contains a bright red chicken claw and another plate contains a brownish angsio claw.

First of all Alena tasted the chicken claw of mercon seasoning whose color already looks tempting. When she saw Alena put the chicken claw in her mouth, Kagendra frowned because she still felt disgusted by the basic ingredients of the claw. One claw is finished, continued the second, third, fourth, Alena never stop putting chicken claw in her mouth.

Alena's lips turned into a red color because of the spiciness of the mercon spice plug made by Sadiyah.

“The plug is really good Tea. Spicy, salty, sweet and savory fit, the claw is also very soft. Anyway chicken claw marinade artificial tea Iyah delicious use really.” praise Alena.

Because she could not stand the spiciness, Alena switched to tasting angsio plug.

Nearly half the dishes filled with angsio plugs have moved into Alena's stomach.

Kagendra who saw Alena who was so greedy spent the chicken claw was curious as well as the taste. He took one chicken claw of mercon seasoning. Not long after the spicy chicken claw entered his mouth, he coughed as he could not stand the spicy taste.

Sadiyah immediately took a glass of warm water for Kagendra.

“Drink her warm water, A. Let the spicy marks quickly disappear.” Sadiyah turned the glass filled with warm water on Kagendra which she immediately insisted on until it was not left.

Kagendra's lips and face turned red due to the spicy taste. Trying to stabilize the pungent taste in his mouth, Kagendra picked up angsio plug.

“This spicy is not?” ask Kagendra.

“If that one is not spicy. It tastes sweet and savory.” replied Sadiyah.

After hearing Sadiyah's explanation, Kagendra immediately put the angsio plug into his mouth. He chewed it carefully, his forehead wrinkled in anticipation of what he thought was strange. After spending one apse of anger, Kagendra took again his second, third, fourth angsio and continued until the plate containing the angsio plug ran out.

“Enak the plug, A?” sadiyah asked rhetorically after seeing Kagendra affirming all the remaining anger.

“Lumayan.” Kagendra replied short and clear.

“It must be good. The remaining half of the plate was spent with Aa.”, Alena said.

Sadiyah and Alena closed their mouths because they held back laughter seeing Kagendra who still had the prestige of acknowledging the taste of Sadiyah's work that was delicious.

After licking the rest of the spice still stuck to his finger, Kagendra immediately moved from his seat to the sink to wash his hands.

“Aa mah manggsian.” ledek Alena.

Sadiyah responded with a happy smile.

By late afternoon, Aki Musa, Joseph, Indriani, and Alena returned home. Aki Musa again advised Kagendra to take good care of Sadiyah. Not to forget Indriani whispered encouraging words to Kagendra to make his wife pregnant which Kagendra did not respond to.
