I frowned slightly when I realized that my makeup looked too thick through the mirror image. Immediately I grabbed the wet tissue that was right on the dresser and removed the makeup on my face. It's almost the second time. And I feel I can't take it anymore. I never like to use makeup that is too thick - or maybe that I think is thick. But what can I do when I myself do not even know how to wear makeup.
This time I'll just use powder and lipgloss. I think that'll be enough. Don't we? There is no special warning today. Especially on campus. Only ordinary days go by normally. Might as well. But I wish it would. For almost thirty-five minutes I sat in front of my dresser and fixed the makeup on my face. But now I feel sure about that. Then I decided to stand up and pay attention to the shadow of my appearance.
Jeans, medium-sleeved shirts and also a cardigan. I think it's pretty neat. I myself did not think too much about the selection on my clothes. I was wearing comfortable clothes for me. Immediately I grabbed my bag that was right on the bed and ran out of the room. Down each step of the stairs in a hasty movement, towards the kitchen. And found Kak Rendi who was putting fried rice right on two plates there.
“Good morning.” Sapaku was there and started sitting right on top of that dining chair.
Rendi looked at me and smiled. “Good morning. I made you fried rice. No problem, right?”
I shook my head with a quick movement there. “No. After all, this is my favorite.” I grabbed the spoon and fork beside the plate and looked around again.
“I don't see mom and dad. Have they left?” I asked. Because my parents have never been that early before.
Brother Rendi nodded his head slowly and sighed. “Yes, it was early morning. Now eat, and I'll take you to college. I also have to go to work early because there is a meeting.” Replied Rendi explained.
I'm not asking anymore. When I realized that Kak Rendi's facial expression had changed completely. This is a common thing that happens. Both of our parents are always busy with their respective jobs, to forget that they both still have children to pay attention to as well. Immediately I began to eat the breakfast that was cooked by Kak Rendi for me.
It did not take long, I immediately waited for Rendi to be able to take me to campus using her car. The car he bought with his paycheck for three years ago. Brother Rendi, is my role model in finance. We also went together. The crowded atmosphere of the streets, always could make me fixated in the daydreams of my mind. I myself am not even aware of what is going on in my mind right now. I was silent, but I was exhausted. And also empty.
After being on the trip for almost an hour, we finally arrived right on campus. Rendi always escorted me to the front page of the faculty.
“Alright, then. I need to get into class.” right away I said for a moment after seeing the little watch on my left wrist. Showing eight in less than ten minutes.
“Good. Be careful... You will go home with Ryan, right?” ask Rendi to make sure.
“Of course. The boy never wanted to leave me alone when I came home.” I answered cheerfully. Ryan's been my best friend since he first entered this college. Even though we come from different faculties, we remain friends until we
mester this middle.
Kak Rendi simply replied with a nod of her head. And I quickly got out of the car, and ran through the faculty corridor. Several times it stopped when there were a bunch of other students and students who were huddled in the middle of the corridor. Until I finally got to the right in front of the class whose door was closed. With a slow movement, I opened the door of the room and was stunned. When all my classmates, even my other best friend named Tina also looked at me anxiously and surprised there. I realized, too, that I might have made a mistake. When I turned my head, there was already a man standing firmly in front of the classroom. He stared hard, and he looked very handsome.
“So...what's your name?” She asked.
“M-sorry Sir.. I, Lili Ayunda. Sorry I'm late to come.” I muttered in a stammering voice.
Immediately I walked quickly after closing the door of the room and sitting on the bench that used to be my seat together with Tina. I fell silent when I realized that the atmosphere in this class looked very different. Tina who was currently beside me also looked very seriously looking forward. The man who was still in front of the class had not even said anything and only took out a few papers or books from inside his bag. Immediately I slightly swished Tina's arm, and made her immediately turn towards me with a stiff-looking head there.
“What's up?” He whispered.
“Why does everything look so tense? And is that guy a new lecturer?” I asked curious.
“Yes, he is indeed a new lecturer. And very killer. You didn't even see how he punished one of our friends.”
“What is it?”
We both got closer to each other. “You know Bayu, right?”
I nodded my head with an increasingly curious feeling just there. Tina looked back to the front where the new lecturer had started writing something on the board. And now Tina's staring straight back at me. “So Bayu came a little late, with conditions that were not neat at all. Bayu reasoned if he had just woken up and came in a hurry to campus. In addition, Bayu thought, the lecturer was not a lecturer, but an old student. And he's starting to get along. Oh, my God, he's so stupid about this. After that, the lecturer immediately asked Bayu to come out of this room and meet him in the room later after class finished.”
“What? Just because of such a trivial matter?” I asked.
Tina nodded. “Iya.. he is indeed a new lecturer who is right for this course. Equally killer.”
“Hey, you two are behind!”
The loud screams coming from the front immediately jolted at me and Tina.
The two of us were even looking straight at each other with a very tense feeling right now. The new lecturer looked at the two of us with an annoyed look. “You arrive late and just interrupt your friend while studying. Now get out of class and meet me later in the lecturer room.” His words made me open my mouth.
“But Sir? I just asked..” I tried to give you a reason not to let you out of class.
Gosh darn. Why did it even become like this?
“No need many reasons. Now go out and wait in front of the class. After class, meet me in the room. Understood?!” he said it again who didn't even want to listen to my reasons at all.
I turned my head towards Tina who was grimacing casually towards me. And all the classmates were also looking at me with such a gaze. Then slowly, I got up from my seat and walked out of the classroom. Gosh darn. This is so embarrassing. And the new lecturer even continued to watch over me with his hideous flat face.
