Chapter 24

It started early in the morning, and I started making breakfast for us. Yeah, Galang and Magdum are still sleeping here. That is, by slightly forcing Galang and Magdum to share a guest room together, finally with a bent face they want to share a room. And just after making a hot milk coffee for all of them, I went inside the guest room and found them sleeping with on the edge of a roll, right in the middle of their middle –. They look peaceful, even though they're looking back at each other and I smile seeing that.

“Good morning..”.

I averted my gaze the moment after putting the empty dishes onto the dining table. And I saw Galang standing leaning against the wall, near the dining room. He smiled, though his eyes looked sleepy. He only wears Kak Refi's shirt and shorts.

“Good morning..” I returned his greeting. Take a cup of coffee and throw it at him. “Coffee?”

He took a few steps and took the coffee cup. “Thanks..” He drank a little. And put the cup back on the dining table.

“Where is Magdum?” I asked while looking at him who started to hold me tightly. He always hugged me.

“He's still sleeping. Young people today, it is difficult to get up early, right?!” He muttered as he put his chin over my head, kissing it a few times.

“Emmm... hmmm I muttered and closed both of my eyes, even though he had not yet bathed, his typical masculine scent could not disappear at all.

“Oh yes? I think, it is inappropriate to hug a girl without bathing first.” Magdum's voice made Galang tighten his embrace even more.

“Aha! Of course, Lily even enjoyed it a lot. Why do you mind?” I tried to let go of Galang's embrace and looked at Magdum and Sister Refi who were standing right behind him. Noticing.

“Already...” said Kak Refi shortly before Magdum said something again. “It's still morning and once again, you guys are going to fight. If you fight again, you better not stay here.” Refi walked past Magdum who was silent, and also Galang who was silent.

I rubbed – gently swipe Galang's arm, and shifted his gaze. “Let's have breakfast together... Magdum, come!” I'm trying to melt the atmosphere. And yes, they do. I sat to the right of Brother Refi, and Galang beside me. Magdum, sitting to the left of Refi.

I helped Refi to take food and allowed Magdum and Galang to take their own food. And yes, they looked at each other in silence, while taking their food. I smiled as I looked towards Brother Refi. “Let them learn to get along..” Refi's sister whispered towards me while winking her right eye.

“Ya.. at least I no longer dizzy thinking of those who always fight when meeting.” I answered him in a whisper as well, and began to eat my food.

“Ehem..” I turned my eyes towards Galang who had finished eating. “I got new info from my friend, if last night, the car driven by the crazy terror passed through this housing. Right in front of Lily.”'s house Galang looked at me, Magdum and also Brother Refi alternately.

“You mean, now that the target of the terrorizer is clearly Lily?” Refi's sister clasped my hand tightly, her face looking worried. Both of his eyes were staring at me. And I rubbed his arm slowly, with a small smile.

“Sial!” I heard Magdum cursing, making everyone stare at him. “If we don't move immediately to catch the intruder, he could have harmed Lily. He could've hurt Lily. Endangering his life.” Magdum rose up violently, taking long and wide strides.

I stood up and called him. “Magdum!” I looked anxiously at him. Staring at Kak Refi who showed no other expression at all.

“Stop that toughness of your head, Magdum!” A ferret blocked Magdum's steps, and gripped his shoulder. And I drew closer to them, along with Brother Refi.

Magdum brushed off Galang's hand on his shoulder, violently. “I've said what's become my stubbornness. I would do anything to keep Lily.” Magdum was looking more and more at Galang, and even so Galang occasionally glanced at me who was staring softly at them. I can no longer hope that they can make peace.

“If you can't protect Lily, then go and leave Lily as far as you can. Because I'll protect her, by any means. And I will not care anymore even though my life will be the bet,” continued Magdum.

I took a few steps forward, and hugged Magdum's body. Looking towards Galang who was a little surprised by what I was doing. Magdum's body stiffened, but he said nothing. “Magdum.. listen, I know that you, Galang and Kak Refi are very worried about my safety.” I took off my arms, and twisted her body to face me. “But if we don't work together to protect each other, what do we do? It's no use..”

I clasped Magdum's hand, staring at all of them. “We have to look after each other now. Whatever happens, it won't hurt us, as long as we have each other. Mutual guard. I've said it before, haven't I?!” They all nodded their heads.

I spread my arms and tried to hug them all. And they returned my embrace not less tightly. I smiled a little, though my tears started to pool in both my eyes. I bit my lower lip, resisting the sobbing that was about to come out. I don't want to look weak. I also have to fight. Their safety is also threatened because of me. Now, no matter what happens, we have to stay together. Whatever the terror wants, I won't let him touch – people I love. Not one bit.

“We'll take care of you, Lily..” They whispered, and increasingly tightened their arms to me.

I whispered. “We will take care of each other..”
