"Today I want you to create a group of two, to be able to do this task. After the group is ready, send me the names of group members and also determine the language you want to discuss, according to the material that has just taught it. And if there will be one of your members who will not work, then do not write their name in your task. Do you understand?!" said Mr. Deo with a tone of voice that sounded very firm and also serious there.
"Good, Sir..."
We all simultaneously answered the order that Mr. Deo had just said there now. Then one by one we started to make a group, and as usual I never separated from Tina if there is a group task like this. "So how is this? What theme are we going to discuss now?" I asked as I turned towards Tina who was sitting next to me.
"I think we should talk about literary sociology. But in a certain language. Like we have to define the object." He explains.
"I think so too. We also need some materials. Looks like we should go to the library after this." I muttered as I stuffed my things into the bag.
Tina nodded her head. It was a little strange to see him who was quite speechless like this. Not at all like the usual Tina. Tina would usually be full of vigor and cheerfulness. But now Tina looks sad, moody and doesn't say much. I even saw him a few times as if he were daydreaming. I began to take my eyes off, as Mr. Deo began to slowly walk out of the classroom. But I knew and realized that Mr. Deo was glancing at me with a grin on his face. And it really makes me feel weird.
"OKAY. Tina, let's go to the library now" I said, which made her wake up from her daydream and started to smile at me and put her belongings in the bag.
"okay... Just a moment,." replied Tina muttering.
And when we finished, we started to stand up from our chairs and we were going to be ready to leave that classroom there. But just taking a few steps, we were stopped by Ayu, who is the chairperson in charge of the course taught by Mr. Deo was there right now. "Lili, I'd like to ask dong for help. Please pass the names of the group members on this paper to Mr. Deo's room... I have another appointment for a group of other courses. Can ya??" he said while handing over a piece of paper containing the names of the group members. Which even had my name and Tina's name there.
I took the paper and read it. Then I raised my head back to look at him. "But why me?" I asked. Because it's not usual for a class in charge of this course to ask for my help. Although the lecturer was not Mr. Deo before.
Ayu looks smiling grimacing towards me while scratching her arm. "I'm a little scared of that father. So, you came to his room yesterday, so I thought, you can help me to give the paper to Mr. Deo." she replied with an expression on her unpleasant face.
And of course I can understand that. Moreover, the fact also shows that Mr. Deo is indeed a little creepy. Can't be denied anymore, can you? So after listening to the answer and also the reason that Ayu just said, I immediately nodded my head in a slow motion.
"OK deh. Let me help ya.. You just calm down. After this I will deliver it." I replied calmly with a slight smile.
"Thank you yes. Then I'll go first."
Ayu immediately walked out of the classroom. And I started to turn my head right towards Tina who was still silent. "Tina, you go first to the library.. I have to give this paper to Mr. Deo first. I'll catch up with you, okay?!" I said with a smile.
Although I myself could not stop the curiosity because of the sudden change in nature experienced by Tina there now. Tina seemed to nod her head and smiled widely. But it was a very stiff and forced smile. "OKAY. Then I'll go to the library first. You will actually follow ya. Be careful if not." she replied with a voice that sounded joking there.
And when I was standing right at the back of Mr. Deo, I immediately called out to him. "Excuse me, Mr. Deo." I muttered there with my slow-sounding tone there just now.
Shortly after, Mr. Deo stopped talking with his lecturers there and began to turn his body around. "Yes?? Oh you again? But you are not late today." he replied in a very fast voice there right now.
I slightly rounded my eyes there and began to hand the piece of paper in my hand right over to him. "It's not so, sir. I am not late today. But I want to collect a list of the group members who were in the form. Here's the paper." I replied by explaining.
Instantly after listening to my answer, Mr. Deo raised his eyebrows together, as if awakened. "Oh yes-yes. I forget. Thank you." he said, taking the paper from my hand and reading it.
"Then excuse me sir" I said and began to turn my body there.
"That's not the student you told me about yesterday??"
At the time when I had just taken a few steps, I heard the lecturer who had just been spoken to by Mr. Deo began to speak. And I myself immediately scrunched up my forehead feeling curious about the continuation of the words they were talking about me there right now.
"The student that's here makes you a little.."
"Yes... Piss me. Remember that? My first day at work I found a student late and talked in class. Doesn't that make me feel pretty upset..."
Mr. Deo was talking about something yesterday. And I'm back to being upset about it. He even told that to his friend?? To the lecturer?!
"Based on the lecturer sucks." I muttered before finally getting out of the lecturer's room.
"What did you just say?!"
Mr. Deo's voice intruded and at once I stopped and fell silent. Damnit. Did he really listen to her?! I immediately turned around and looked towards Mr. Deo who was currently looking at me with a sharp gaze.
"Are you mumbling about me, is that it?!" asked Mr. Deo once again.
And it seems, Mr. Deo really listened to what I just muttered there right now.
