Evelyn's Story

Evelyn and Kenrick are now in the garden behind the mansion while looking at Kenrick's big pet. In a few days their status will be legally changed to husband and wife in the eyes of their law and religion.

“Kenrick, have you released my uncle?” evelyn asked suddenly when she remembered about her uncle who still had no news. Evelyn is leaning against Kenrick's chest with Kenrick stroking the top of her head.

“As per your request, Darling. Your uncle will come to take you to the altar,” said Kenrick with his hand still stroking the top of Evelyn's head dear. Kenrick did ask to have his uncle avenged the woman, even Kenrick had also given him a job in New York.

"Thank you Kenrick,” said Evelyn who now closed her eyes and enjoyed Kenrick's comfortable embrace.

Being with Kenrick made him feel comfortable. Evelyn did not want to let go of their embrace, afraid that Kenrick would leave her.

“Whatever to you. Do you love your uncle so much?” kenrick asked while raising his eyebrows curiously at what answer Evelyn would give him.

"of course! She is the only family I have,” Evelyn replied with a smile. His uncle was the only family he had. His uncle was the one who had taken care of him when he no longer had parents.

“How about your parents?” ask Kenrick curiously. They realize that even though they have been together for a few months they still do not know each other more deeply. Kenrick was so curious about what really happened to Evelyn's family.

"They've died from my seven-year-old,” Evelyn said with a sad look as she recalled her parents who died in an accident.

Evelyn's memory returns to the events that befell her family when she was just seven years old. Evelyn and her family were on vacation during the summer holidays. The car driven by his family drove at speed was splitting the road that was raining.

The car, which was initially filled with laughter and jokes from the family, had to change with tension when his father got a call if his father's partner who worked as a detective died because he was killed. Because it was too surprised and confused his father to not pay attention to the road until a charged car hit his family's car.

Evelyn's mother who protects and hugs Evelyn to avoid the impact was precisely the one who was hit by the collision that resulted in both people taunay died. Evelyn knew it had something to do with the death of her father's friend. But Evelyn chose not to know it and allowed her life to move forward without looking at the past. Even though he wanted to reveal it.

The story just flowed so unknowingly that Evelyn's tears had flowed down the girl's white and thin cheeks.

“Sorry makes you sad,” said Kenrick while cupping Evelyn's face and removing the tears of the woman. He knew it must be difficult for Evelyn to recall the incident that happened to her.

"No problem. You will soon be my husband. So you have to know,” said Evelyn who now smiles so gently at Kenrick, but Kenrick knows that smile holds a lot of wounds in it. Abandoned both parents from childhood must have been a heavy blow to Evelyn.

“Uncle was the one who took care of me all this time,” Evelyn said with a smile. Kenrick poked his lips at Evelyn with a serious look but seemed cynical and arrogant.

“By your watch is the guarantee of his life,” said Kenrick who made Evelyn not understand the purpose of the man's words.

"You mean?” evelyn asked raised her next eyebrow with a smile that felt so bland and full of question marks.

“You know if your uncle sold you?” asked Kenrick with a scary look at Evelyn who now even blew his laughter hearing Kenrick's words. Of course he knew it because it all happened in front of his face.

"That's because you forced me to come with you. Though I have said I will pay if I work,” said Evelyn with the rest of the questions and scorned at Kenrick who now did not laugh at all. Even now the man had looked at Evelyn so seriously. Evelyn was silent to know if something was wrong.

“Your uncle actually sold you in the truest sense. Everything that happened that night was drama. I made everything look like that,” said Kenrick seriously. Evelyn fell silent with her bland smile before the girl laughed insipidly. But before long the woman stopped her laughter when she felt that Kenrick was serious about saying it. There was no expression that the man displayed other than his guilt.

"What do you mean Kenrick?” evelyn asked, now looking at Kenrick with her own eyes. He hoped that what Kenrick said was just a joke. But seeing the man's expression, Evelyn knew that Kenrick was now seriously saying it.

“This is true Evelyn. At that time your uncle came to me and sold you,” said Kenrick seriously. Evelyn was silent, clenched at Kenrick's words. He could not believe that the uncle who had been guarding him so well could do such a thing?

"But how can uncle do that?” kenrick asked with a smile that looked sad. Now Evelyn understood in prison why her uncle felt so guilty and asked her to leave and would make himself a payment for what he did.

“He needs money for his pleasure. The debt is also very much. But I know now he is so sorry,” said Kenrick while holding Evelyn's hand to give calm and strength to the woman. While in prison Kenrick was so see how Uncle Evelyn who had regretted his actions. Even when Kenrick took him out of the guard, the man refused and asked Kenrick to let Evelyn go. But of course Kenrick refused and instead forbade Uncle Evelyn to come to meet Evelyn. That's why Uncle Evelyn hasn't seen him until now.

"How could he exchange me for money? And why are you hiding this from me?” evelyn asked involuntarily now her tears had flooded her white cheeks.

“I don't want to make you sad Evelyn. I came to the club. I hear all the sadness you're going through,” explained Kenrick explaining what really happened.

"Ah yes, I remember you were there,” said Evelyn who vaguely remembered Kenrick even though she was a little drunk at the time but she remembered it well enough.

“Yes, I was originally going to pick you up. But I heard everything you talked about with your best friend. Honestly, I fell in love with you at first sight. On the other hand, I feel unbearable because you just betrayed your lover. Until I make all the drama so you don't get sadder,” said Kenrick honestly. He had never thought about the feelings of others. It was different when he knew Evelyn. He felt so many feelings that he had never felt before. It is like a person who does not have a sense that finally understands a feeling.
