Chapter 48: Recording
Megan struggled alone in front of her laptop screen, her clasping hand was busy pressing the laptop keyboard in front of her earlier. There was a little work to be done this morning. Suddenly he remembered the recording Dexter had said while they were still in his apartment.
Megan picks up her phone and then hears the recording sent by Dexter. 10 minutes passed, Megan can't stand to hear the recording. His face has been blushing ever since. Unable to continue recording, Megan immediately turned off her phone. Turns out Dexter recorded a drunk Megan at her birthday party two days ago.
"Geez.. That's not you, is it Megan?" megan covered her mouth with one hand. Megan shook her head since then in embarrassment.
Megan got up from her chair, walked around her desk back and forth, "OMG, how is this. Why am I so stupid" Megan muttered.
"How can I be that wild. Akh. where is Megan's pride." said Megan banging her head, leaning against the wall of her room.
"I won't listen to him anymore" Megan said. But he was still curious about the continuation of the recording. Megan looked back at her phone. Think for a moment, whether to continue or not.
"No Meg. You better remove it now." said Megan. But he was still curious about the continuation of the tape.
"Oh no. Now all I have to think about is how to face the man later. Oh my shame." muttered Megan stomping her feet on the spot.
"Czech.." the door opened. Dexter frowned his eyebrows when he saw Megan in a backward position and spoke to himself there. The woman seemed to be stomping her feet there. Even Megan was unaware that the man was standing next to her desk. Dexter accidentally saw Megan's phone screen, the man grinned and walked up to Megan.
"What are you doing" Dexter said to Megan's surprise. Megan turned her body and saw Dexter standing in front of her.
Megan seemed to gulp, her face flushed back to recall the recording.
"Why is your face red like that" asked Dexter. Megan spontaneously held her cheeks with both of her hands.
"Ah.. no. I. I just. ahhhh forget it," said Megan slightly away from Dexter. The man laughed in his heart at Megan's behavior.
If he could repeat the time, he wanted to go back to the day it had not happened and would not drink much.
"I'd like to take you to pick up Amber and Archer for their school" Dexter said. Megan actually wants to come and meet the twins. It's just that he wanted to avoid Dexter for a while because of the recording he heard earlier. He was so embarrassed.
"But I'm sed_".
"No buts, come on." said Dexter interrupting Megan's words and pulling the woman's hand out.
"Wait a minute, my phone and my bag are still on the table" Megan said, Dexter then took Megan's hand off and let the woman pick up the item.
The two then exit Megan's room and walk to Dexter's private elevator. Towards the lobby, the car was parked in front of the office.
When the two arrive at the lobby, they accidentally meet with Erick.
"Erick, what are you doing here? we don't have any promises, do we?" dexter asked astonished at Erick's arrival. Usually if they want to meet, Erick will contact him first.
"I have important business with someone. It just so happens that he works here, where are you going?" ask Erick.
"Take the kids to school" Dexter replied.
"Then we go first" Dexter concluded.
