Chapter 50: The Wonderful Father
Amber and Megan climb the stairs to the 2nd floor.
"Mom.. wait for Archer.." call Archer running away from Dexter.
"Be careful boy. later you fall," said Megan afraid Archer fell.
Some of the servants seemed to be wondering because their master and young lady called mommy to the woman they had just seen for the first time. It was different with Dorothy. He's used to it.
On arrival in front of his room, Amber opened the door and went inside. Megan observes the entire Amber room designed in a blend of white and Lilac.
"Mom let's go inside." said Archer, Megan then nodded and went inside.
"It's a nice room, baby" Megan said.
"Thank you mom, Amber who chose the design," concluded Amber put her bag on her study table.
"Opsse... Amber forgot to make the bed this morning" said Amber, surprised to see her untidy bed. The boy then moved his feet towards his bed.
"Let mommy help you" Megan said, helping Amber make her bed.
"Ho.ho.ho.if daddy sees, your points will decrease" said Archer sitting on the sofa.
"Sstt. big brother, don't tell daddy yeah. Please," Amber's pinta put her index finger on her lips.
"When you need me, you call me brother" said Archer, folding both hands in front of his chest.
"Hahahaha, we were born only a few minutes apart" Amber laughed.
"Yes.yes.. Amber will be calling sister from today" Amber said.
"It's the new dong brother," Archer replied walking closer to Amber's bed and then sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Geez.why are you so adorable anyway." concluded Megan could not bear to kiss the two children when she heard the conversation. He kissed the two children in turn.
"By the way, you guys were talking about points. What's with the reduced points" asked the curious Megan.
Archer laid his body on the bed, "daddy said if we wanted to get a new toy, we had to collect points. If you want to get points then we should be able to make the bed every morning in this one month mom. Every morning daddy would check it out before we left for school" Archer said.
Megan was surprised to hear Archer's explanation. Megan thought that since they were the children of the rich, everything would be done by the servants in their house. They just stay relaxed. What they want will always be fulfilled. He was amazed by Dexter's parenting. Although he had a lot of money, but Dexter did not spoil his two children. The man taught his two children to get something is not easy, it takes effort. Megan is aware of Dexter's positive side, although there are a lot of skewed stories about him out there, but Dexter is an amazing father figure according to Megan. Even during his time working with Dexter, the man always tried to vacate his schedule in the school hours of his two children to pick them up.
"Mom. let's help Amber choose a dress for this week according to the color on this paper mom," said Amber invited Megan. Both then entered into a minimalist walk in closet owned by Amber. Archer followed them from behind.
"Well, let's start with yellow, remember yellow." said Megan emphasizing the word yellow while pointing at the yellow circle on the paper in Amber's hand. The boy then nodded. Megan began to choose several yellow tops and paired them with matching pants.
Once the yellow color is finished, they continue with another color. Archer just sat watching his sister and Megan waiting for her turn.
"Dad." said Archer when he saw Dexter coming. The man then sat down beside Archer looking at the reflected cheer on the faces of the two women in front of him.
"Geez, this is so much fun. Choosing clothes, shoes to hair accessories for girls. Since yesterday mommy wanted to be like this, it's just Aron's a boy" Megan laughed as she chose a hairband for Amber.
