Chapter 10: Adventurers Guild

The second day in the city of Vurlin, Ferisu experienced an unexpected incident in front of his room. He meets a magical girl who has fallen because of a collision with him. After helping the girl stand up, the two of them walked together towards the first floor for breakfast.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you" said the girl, feeling guilty.

"No, you don't have to apologize" Ferisu replied with a small smile on his face.

"By the way I've never seen you here, have you been to this city for the first time?" ask the girl.

"Yes, I only arrived in this city yesterday" replied Ferisu.

"What mung-"

There was a group of people sitting at the table calling the girl.

"Hana! Here, let's have breakfast," call a red-haired lady in ponytail style.

"I'm going to go to my friends, do you want to have breakfast together?" ask the girl gently.

"No, I want to go to the adventurer guild," replied Ferisu.

Ferisu directly exited the inn and went towards the adventurer guild which was seven houses away from the inn. The adventurer guild had the emblem of two crossed swords and a shield. The atmosphere inside was also different from that of the merchant guild. Everyone inside looked strong and their appearance was quite rosy as well.

"The satisfaction is quite different from the merchant guild," Ferisu muttered as he entered the adventurer guild.

People were looking at him because of the new face that entered the guild. Ferisu walked towards the reception desk while looking back and forth regardless of the gazes of the people. Upon reaching the reception desk, he was greeted warmly by the guild attendant.

"Good morning, how can I help you, sir?" sapana.

"I want to register as an adventurer" replied Ferisu.

"Then please fill in the for-"

When the receptionist wanted to provide a registration form for Ferisu, a burly adventurer came and hit the table hard.

"Oi, kid! Do you think you can be an adventurer with that little body of yours?"

Ferisu simply kept silent as if not hearing the man's words and tried to take the form held by the receptionist.

"Oi! How dare you ignore me son of a bitch!"

While filling out the form Ferisu turned to the man who was shouting in annoyance. "Eh? Are you talking to me?" he said innocently.

With a tissue-thin patience, the man raised his hand and was about to hit Ferisu in annoyance. However, his body suddenly floated up and hit the guild wall violently.

"Ughh! W-what is ... ?" murmuring pain.

Just before him was a silver-haired male figure with fiery red eyes staring at him sharply.

"My mood is good right now, please don't make it bad. I could've killed you by accident you know?" said Ferisu with a cynical and cold gaze.

When he finished filling out his registration form, Ferisu got a black card which means G rank adventurer or beginner. The receptionist in charge started explaining about the adventurer guild to Ferisu who had just registered.

The job of an Adventurer Guild was to advertise various client requests and manage rewards. At the same time, the guild can also act as a bank where adventurers can deposit and withdraw money at any guild branch.

Guild managers can exchange information or requests with other guild managers in other areas using artifacts called Tracebooks. It was also possible that the applicant assigned a certain adventurer to do their request.

Requests are divided by rank based on difficulty. All the requests available in the area can be seen on the guild request board and the adventurers can accept the request by submitting it at the reception desk.

Upon completion of the request, the prize may be taken at the reception desk by showing proof of conquest or a search card with the stamp of approval from the applicant or if a higher authority confirms the completion of the search. If the adventurer brought the requested item in an extra amount, the guild would buy the rest at the market price.

The ranking system is based on the difficulty of the request. The lowest to highest ratings are black (rank-G), purple (rank-F), green (rank-E), blue (rank-D), red (rank-C), silver (rank-B), and black, gold (rank-A) which respectively corresponds to the status of beginner, adventurer in training, adventurer, veteran adventurer, first-rate adventurer, adventurer elite, and hero respectively. There was one more rank that was said to be a legend and there were very few people who could grab it. S with platinum card.

As the rankings rose, the demand offered also increased in difficulty. In order to increase their ranking, adventurers needed to collect search points or receive a certain number of recommendations from higher authorities such as kings or emperors. Later, the guild added a new rank: White. The person holding this rank did not even count as an adventurer, and was only of tentative status.

After listening to the receptionist explain the guild at length, Ferisu understood the system of the guild. He went to the board to take some missions, but there was one thing he had just remembered.

"It's a mission to hunt down the Bloody Grizzly" replied the receptionist.

"Ah, what a coincidence!" said Ferisu, he opened the dimensional storage and took out the Bloody Grizzly corpse that he defeated in the forest.

"Hows it? Can I accept the quest?" said Ferisu while patting the corpse of the bear he took out.

"Alright," Ferisu accepted the mission and went out of the adventurer guild.
