Chapter 22: The Crazy Coincidence

When the magic training is over Lucy succeeds in firing a magic without neatness. Ferisu asked something that made things quiet.

"Lucy, how do you know about oxidation reactions?"

The red afternoon sky began to fade as the sun set. The moon began to rise and the stars shone in the dark sky like scattered gems. In the darkness of the night, Lucy said something that made the atmosphere of silence even quieter.

"Actually, I'm a reincarnation..."

Ferisu and Alfred fell silent after hearing that, but Lucy glanced at Ferisu and looked at him seriously. "You too.. are a reincarnation, right?" he said with a tense voice. 

"Yes.I am also a reincarnated person," replied Ferisu with a serious look.

"Wait around! So you two reincarnated as well?!" Alfred exclaimed in surprise.

"Also... You mean, you're also a reincarnation?" ferisu glanced at Alfred.

Alfred sat softened in shock at what he heard. Then looked at the starry sky with a feeling of relief. Same with Lucy.

Meanwhile, Ferrisu stood staring at the twinkling stars in the darkness of the night sky. "Really, what a crazy coincidence.." he murmured. 

While no one spoke, they all tried to calm themselves down.

"Lucy, how do you know I'm a reincarnation? Ah, is that about the oxidation reaction?" Ferisu asked out of curiosity.

Lucy shook her head. "Not because of that, but, when I heard your name, I remembered the name of a student who had disappeared on her doorstep," lucy replied telling him about what she knew.

"News well," murmured Ferisu.

"Yes, in the news. A student, an office worker, a truck driver and a farmer are reported missing" Lucy said.

"The farmer may be me" said Alfred softly.

Ferisu clapped so loudly that Alfred and Lucy had to look at him. "Why feel so sad now? Now we just have to live in this world, right? Am I wrong?"

Alfred and Lucy looked at each other, then smiled and nodded slowly. Both of them stood with excited faces. 

The night passed quickly and the morning came. The three of them exited the inn and went towards the adventurer guild.

"Huft~ seems like we need to increase our rank first so that the card is not removed easily," Ferisu murmured while looking at the clear sky.

When entering into the adventurer guild, they became the center of attention for the adventurers inside. A new face they never saw. At the reception desk, the three of them immediately signed up to form a party called Two Sides.

After successfully enlisting Ferisu immediately asked the receptionist about the most difficult missions and ways to raise their rank quickly. The receptionist simply smiled, then gave a herb gathering quest.

"..."

"Is something wrong, sir?" ask the receptionist innocently.

"Is there a monster suppression mission?" ask Ferisu.

"Hmm? I'm sorry, but this is the most suitable mission for beginners" the receptionist replied in a slightly mocking tone.

"Alright," Ferisu accepted the quest and exited the guild.

While in front of the city gate, Ferisu gave the quest sheet to Alfred and Lucy. "You gather the plants, I have other business" he said, leaving quickly.

"Damn!"

Ferisu immediately hid behind the wall, peering towards the magic shot.

"He managed to dodge, yeah."

"Seeing from his strength, it looks like he's a high-level demon," one concluded.

"Yes, you're right, Noel" said the other.

Behind an alley, there were two women wearing white armor with gold patterns. Royal knights, they were currently on patrol and coincidentally saw Ferisu jumping the building. Her magic aura felt a little when the night before.

That was why, there were currently so many knights patrolling everywhere. They estimate that the devil sent an intruder to the capital.

"It's possible that he's one of the Eight Eyes members, Yuna, it looks like we should report it to the chairman" Noel said.

"I agree on that, Noel," said Yuna.

The two knights immediately moved towards the guard post to report on that.

The clock tower is the tallest building in the city. Ferisu increased his alertness, then he looked around. "Damn it. I was careless, I shouldn't have cast my magic last night" he murmured.

At that moment, Ferisu activated a spell that changed the color of his hair and eyes. He looked just like his old self, just like when he became a living human being on earth. Black hair as bright as the night sky and blue eyes as bright as the sky. 

He came down from the clock tower and mingled with the people. Suppressing his magic energy, he was more precisely using a manipulation magic. The magic works to change the type of magic energy of his own and equate it like the magic energy of humans in this world.

Ferisu walked towards the center of the city, then looked around and walked towards the direction of the royal palace. There were so many knights guarding the gate.

Is there really a dark organization operating in the capital? The city is too peaceful, there are even so many knights...

"Hey, hey oni-san, are you trying to eat something sweet?" said a woman who suddenly approached Ferisu.

"Hmm?" Ferisu turned his head towards the woman who called him.

A beautiful woman with emerald green eyes. Blonde hair along the waist, gently unraveling when blown by the wind. The girl smiled sweetly as she extended her hand. 

"Eh? Did you just talk to me?" asked Ferisu in a shocked tone.

"Yes, do you want to go shopping with me?" said the girl with a sweet smile.

Ferisu looked left and right, confused as to why this girl had come to him. From the looks of it, she looks like a noble princess. But, there was no one to look at with him.

"Alright," thank Ferisu.

Ferisu walked beside the girl who looked so carefree, he ran and stopped by various shops to see the merchandise in the store. However, something was not wearing, Ferisu felt people's gazes on him. Not a look of hate or envy, but a gaze of kasian, empathy.

"That's so hard, when she was young."

"Yes, his face is also quite handsome, but what a pity."

Ferisu who sensed the gazes of the people, looked in all directions and everyone instantly shifted their gazes. "What's wrong?" murmured Ferisu.
