Chapter 46: Dryad Forest

When Ferisu is on his way to the forest of death, Gure informs him of his brother's whereabouts. Gure, a fragment of a magic sword created by the god Circe (magic god). The sword was used by the Goddess Freya during the time of war between gods in the world of Envend.

After the battle, the sword was destroyed or rather its power was split into seven parts. They were scattered throughout the world, the person chosen as the master would obtain the power of the sword.

Just after Gure told him that, Ferisu went downstairs and landed in a forest. However, the air in the forest looked strange, rotting trees, leaves and withered grass were even dry. The barren land, the forest looks like dead land.

"What's going on here?" murmured Ferisu while touching the branch of a tree that had rotted.

"This is one of my brother's powers Cursed Sword of Decay—The Sword of Damned Decay" Gure said.

"..."

The curse sword, as its name suggests, has a powerful curse ability. His curse can create decay on any object that is slashed by him. Once exposed, the cells present in the body of living things will stop functioning, the flesh becomes rotten in an instant.

"In other words, the death of this forest as a result of that sword?" said Ferisu wants certainty.

"Yes, sir," replied Gure.

"But, how did he get to this forest? Can you move as you please?" Ferisu demanded an explanation.

"Yes, we can transform into monsters. Because basically we're all made of powerful monsters" Gure explained.

Sword of Nothingness (Gure) is made from a monster material called Natra Cinerius. This monster has a shape like a crayfish with claws in the form of blue fire, its shell is silver with red eyes. Natra Cinerius can create a thick fog that can make objects around her turn into ash by consuming her magic energy to make her disappear.

Cursed Sword of Decay, made from a monster material called Undead Hydra. Apparently like a dragon with three heads that each had a deadly poison. Decay, paralysis, and acidic fluids.

As Gure was explaining about it, there came a monster roar from the depths of the forest. "That sound!"

"It looks like he's in his monster form, doesn't it?" terka Ferisu's.

"Yes, it's not wrong anymore. This magic energy is his," Gure answered confidently.

Ferisu began to move swiftly towards the monster that was the embodiment of the magic sword. The closer he got, the more rotten the air made Ferisu stop and close his nose. "Damn! It smells so bad!" his gerrick.

"Master, use my powers!"

Ferisu pulls the Gure out of its sheath and affirms it vertically towards the front, thus creating a misty path that removes all the pungent foul odor.

Green forests began to be seen in the direction of the front, forests that had not been exposed to decay. Ferisu climbed onto the branch and jumped flying into the air. At that moment he saw a three-headed dragon walking while spitting out poisonous breaths from each head.

"What is he after?" murmured Ferisu, then took out his wings until floating in the air.

"Sir, as our fellow man, we have no real purpose. Right now he's moving because of his monster instincts" Gure explained.

Ferisu observed the monster, "if he walks straight in that direction then..." As she looked straight ahead, Ferisu sensed life magic energy. "A village?" muttered.

"What's wrong?"

"Magic plants will have no effect on him" Gure explained. "They are all dryads, the Undead Hydra is a very bad opponent for them. The magic they cast will only drain them of their power."

Ferisu descended rapidly like a meteor that fell and hit the ground. "Stop all your tidings!" abugn.

"Devil!?"

"So you brought the monster here!" the dryads accused Ferisu of carrying the monster.

"Either why it feels like dejavu" Ferisu murmured upon hearing the accusations of the dryads. "Just stop it, your magic will have no effect on the creature" Ferisu explained.

"If it has no effect on the creature, it will affect you!" One of the dryads used plant magic in the form of roots that spread and resist the movement of Ferrisu.

The root had sharp spines, if the affected person tried to break away, the twists would become strong and the spines would pierce the body.

Ferisu closed his eyes and concentrated magic energy throughout his body, "impact!" The magic explosion was created to destroy all the roots wrapped around his body.

Shortly after, a burst of acid from one of Hydra's heads fell on Ferisu. He quickly drew the sword and slashed it backward, creating a fog barrier that could neutralize the attack.

"Wait, why did that monster attack you?" ask a dryad in surprise.

"It wasn't me who took her, I saw her walking while rotting the forest. So I chased after him," replied Ferisu.

"Hey! Stop that!" Gure tries to use telepathy to hydra.

"..."

Hydra was silent for a moment, not because of the telepathy from the Gure, but because the attack disappeared. Then the other two heads also spouted out their breaths, decay and poison. Once again, Ferisu endured the attack with mist.

The Hydra looked irritated, it roared loudly. All three of his heads gushed out simultaneously, continuously. Although the attack could be neutralized by the fog. However, to create the fog, Ferisu's magic energy was also drained.

"If I let go, everyone behind me will be hit by the attack" Ferisu muttered as he looked back. "Hurry away!" the door loudly.

All the dryads remained there, until someone walked away. Shortly after that they began to leave, heading to the center of the forest where there was a flower garden that was so beautiful.

After the dryads left, Ferisu released his fog shield and directly pushed himself to the side avoiding the three-headed dragon's bursts. The trees that were hit by the attack instantly rotted and died.

"Haha, I don't know if I can still regenerate after being exposed to it," Ferisu murmured upon seeing the effects of the hydra burst.

Ferisu started running around the hydra, while the dragon remained still in place with its head moving following Ferisu. He breathed back, trying to hit Ferisu.

Upon reaching the rear of Ferisu tried to climb up to his body, however, the hydra's tail began to move and attack Ferisu like a whip. "Damn!" ferisu's grouse leapt back, then opened its wings and flew upwards.
