Reincarnation as Vampires In Another World
Chapter 5: The Bandit Attack

After meeting the goblins and getting information, Ferisu came out of the forest and headed to a human city. When he came out of the forest, Ferisu saw a meadow that spread wide under the blue sky. He walked through the meadow until he found a road.

"Hmm, it looks like a new train is passing by," Ferisu muttered as he saw the tire tracks on the road.

He walked in the direction of the carriage, Ferisu could tell the direction of the carriage because he saw the direction of the horse footprints and some shoes. Time passed quickly and night came, Ferisu saw a village from a distance.

"I thought I'd make it to a town, it turns out to be a village, huh?" muttered.

From a distance, some villagers look towards Ferrisu. Two people were on standby at the village door, they looked like an adventurer. Ferisu continued to walk leisurely approaching the village.

"What's that mo-monster?" said the guard with trembling.

"I-devil!? Unmistakably, it must be a high-class demon!"

From the sight of the two guards, they saw a bright burning red-eyed figure within the darkness approaching with a great amount of magic energy. Their legs were trembling and were about to flee, but they held back their fear and still carried out the obligation to guard the village.

Ferisu arrived in front of the village and met the two guards. "Good night, are you the village guards?" sapa Ferisu at once asked.

The two of them nodded while swallowing a mouthful of saliva. In front of the figure that was emitting such great magic energy, the guards were unceasingly trembling with a bath of cold sweat. Ferisu looked astonished at the guards who were trembling in fear as if seeing a monster or a ghost.

"What's wrong?" ask Ferisu astonished.

"W-did you come here to destroy the village?" ask one of the guards shivering.

Upon hearing that, Ferisu looked surprised. "Huh? Destroying villages?"

"By!!!" They both looked frightened and walked back.

"W-do you just want to kill us and not destroy his village?"

"Huh? What are you guys saying? To kill? Destroying it? What am I doing that for?" asked Ferisu in confusion.

Both guards told him why. The human race has always fought against the demon race these past few years. When they saw Ferisu emitting such a huge amount of magic energy, they thought that Ferisu wanted to destroy the village.

"You misunderstand me, I have no such intention" said Ferisu. "Magic energy? Did I bring out something like that?" continues asking.

The two guards nodded quickly. Ferisu tilted his head then closed his eyes while crossing his hands. He thought of a way to obliterate the magic energy radiating out. Slowly the magic energy that was overflowing out was slowly disappearing.

"What's better now? I can't get rid of it completely" Ferisu said.

"I-iya, ja-so what is a high-level demon like you coming here?" ask the guard.

"There's nothing special. I was just walking and found the village by chance, so I wanted to stop for the night" Ferisu replied casually.

Just then came the sound of someone screaming in pain. The two guards looked panicked as they looked at Ferisu who was staring towards the sound. His nose sniffed and smelled the scent of blood.

The two men pulled their swords out and attacked Ferisu simultaneously. With such a swift movement, the heads of the two people floated in the air with blood pouring out.

"Haft~ when I only scratched it a little, but their heads even dislodged?" muttered Ferisu while sighing. "Just try you guys didn't direct any killing intent on me."

Ferisu walked into the village, the quiet atmosphere making him alert. He walked towards the source of the earlier scream, the scent of blood smelling stronger as he approached a house. Slowly opening the door Ferisu saw a man stuck to the wall with a pitchfork that pierced his head.

"A. a. a.. w-Is there someone there?"

Upon hearing the voice, Ferisu was startled and looked towards the man. It was unexpected that the man was still alive even though his head was pierced by a pitchfork.

"T-please sidelines.. - mating pend..."

These were the last words of the man, and he neither breathed nor spoke. Ferisu gave a small smile then pulled the pitchfork and restrained the body of the stuck man. Laying it on the floor Ferisu slowly walked out of the house and moved towards the village square.

There was a big bonfire and people were tied up. At that time there was a citizen who was in revolt and wanted to escape. One of the bandits caught him and threw him into the flames.

"Who else wants to be thrown?" said the bandit.

Ferisu picked up a stone, then threw it tightly against the bandit's head. However, unexpectedly, just by throwing a stone the bandit's head was crushed and his body was lying with a pool of blood.

"Eh? Lie. ah, stop. I'll just kill you," Ferisu muttered in surprise when he saw that the bandit's head was crushed with just a stone throw.

Running towards the village square, Ferisu kicked one of the bandits checking on his dead friend.

"Who are you!"

Not answering the bandit's words, Ferisu slashed his head with a cold expression. "I thought I didn't feel anything when I killed a human" he murmured.

The bandits gathered and ran around attacking Ferisu together, yet all the heads of the bandits floated in the air. While Ferisu was already in the presence of the bandit boss and his three men.

"I hope you stop this futile resistance," said Ferisu with a great killing aura.

The remaining bandits were sitting limp at the sight of a fiery red-eyed figure before them. All the remaining bandits were gathered in the village square and the citizens were untied. The resentful citizens vented their emotions and were about to kill the bandits. However, Ferisu stopped them.

"What do you want to do?" asked Ferisu with a wry smile.

Just with that remark all the citizens fell silent and returned to sitting quietly. The bandits and the villagers sat in front of Ferisu with a group division. The bandits only 10 people left and the villagers 25 people.

"I know you feel a grudge against these bandits, but I want you to forgive them. To the bandits I want you to make amends for your mistakes by being the guardians of this village," Ferisu said.

The citizens and bandits were about to reject him, but the figure before them was not an arbitrary figure. They had no choice but to accept the offer.
