SOS

SOS
Chapter 11's

The clock shows seven o'clock less than a quarter, when Alyx opens his eyes. He did not find Jane beside him. He got up from his sleep and stepped quietly to the side of the window. Open the curtains and look at the houses around it. Slender.

He intended to get out, but stopped and sat down at the table. She was just about to blame the computer on her, when Jane opened the door.

“Don't,” cried Jane and then laughed when she saw Alyx's surprised expression. “I'm kidding. Please continue

all you wanted to do was,” he said and threw himself on the bed, which had not even been tidied up.

“What is this connected to the internet?”

“Sure.”

“I didn't bring my phone, maybe I can see some news from my friend.”

“Please,” Jane response is short.

And sure enough, there was some news coming into Alyx's email. He was only interested in opening a message from Indah. After reading, he closed it back down, and turned it off. “How many travel hours to London?”

“About two-three hours. If you get on the train, it might get there faster. What's up?”

“I have to go back. Why didn't Tom bring any other important stuff. Lovely word, hp and my camera are still there.”

“Oh. Then I will accompany you.”

They're prepping. Alyx then ransacked the carton box that seemed to have been removed from the trunk by Tom. “Mana Tom?”

“After pacing unclear, he went straight away.”

Alyx did not ask further. After finding a hat in the carton, he picked up his red backpack. “Ayo.”

Jane stopped a taxi passing in front of them. “Station,” he told the taxi driver when he was sitting in

inward.

Alyx watched for a moment, the inside of the taxi was not as usual. Outside earlier, this taxi was just like it was, but when they were inside, they were in a luxury car.

“Taxi SOS,” says Jane answers Alyx's curiosity. “And we just left SOS housing. For the workers, they are entitled to own a private home outside of SOS.” Country

Fifteen minutes later, Alyx and Jane are already at a train station. After taking the tickets, they

immediately ran small when he saw the train had stopped.

“Do SOS also have luxury cars?” alyx asked smilingly, half-tempting.

“Sure,” Jane says it proudly.

Train stops. Alyx and Jane are out.

“Alyx, we part here, I have to get into class now.”

“Good.”

“Dad will tell you next step soon,” Jane said before leaving.

Alyx sees Jane leaving first. And a minute later, he stepped up, walking with the people who had also just come out.

*

Upon arriving at the apartment, Alyx sees an unknown woman standing guard as a receptionist. Surely this woman is replacing Tom, now. He didn't spend any time and went to the floor of his apartment.

“Alyx,” exciting Beautiful after seeing who guests are coming. “Come.”

Alyx followed the host. “You alone?”

“My husband just left for work. And I'm just gonna clean up the breakfast. But now I will

preparing breakfast for you, you must not have eaten, right? Sit.”

Alyx does not accept and does not refuse. So Lovely immediately prepared food for her.

“I found your stuff in a carton in front of your apartment door,” said Indah in the middle of Alyx breakfast. “After I pressed belmu—no one answered. So I tried calling your number, but I heard a sound from the cardboard instead. When I opened it, it contained some of your cameras and phones. And I think it's better to bring her in. I then sent you an email message.”

“I read the message and come here.”

“I thought you weren't coming back, but I saw Tom come into your apartment. I asked before he came in, what he was doing. Said he was fixing your room.”

“Tom?”

“I thought the door had to be fixed, otherwise thieves could have entered easily,” said Beautiful

have come to their own conclusions.

“When is he coming?”

“It looks like early in the morning. Though I thought he had stopped— two days ago I didn't see him—dan

a woman has replaced her position. Or did he turn into a repairman?”

Alyx simply smiled and immediately finished his meal. “I'm going to my room now,” said Alyx after hugging the plastic box containing his camera. “Thanks for breakfast.”

Beautiful smile wide.

Before entering, Alyx stood at the door of his apartment. He was just about to try to open the door, but the door

it opened first.

“You're coming?” Tom came out the door.

“What are you doing here?” alyx asked when he saw Tom return to his original activity—checking the wall.

Alyx saw a computer on the table. He approached and placed a plastic box next to the computer. Alyx looked briefly at the screen and did not understand the numbers. “You did your math PR at my house?”

Tom sneered. He stood up and shifted Alyx who was sitting in front of his computer.

“Good once you let my camera in..”.

“I came back and didn't get it,” interrupted Tom and kept looking at the computer screen. “You think your neighbor took it first. If I knocked on the door and asked him to give me your stuff, he would ask a lot.”

“Oh.” Alyx then catches Tom's glance. He grunts. “What's up?” alyx asked and raised his eyebrows.

Tom quits his job and sees Alyx. “I just heard a news story, I guess only news

bird, and if I think about—ah, I don't think,” said Tom in a tone of surrender and returned to the computer in front of him. “I've fixed your room condition. I thought I had put him in the right place. But, there was a little mistake so that they could use the means of transportation to this room.”

Alyx was confused himself. “What are you talking about?” Alyx threw himself on the sofa in front of the TV.

“SOS transport tools allow you to move from somewhere in SOS to another place—maybe

someone like you could only create such a device for another thousand years, ah, forget about—but I fixed the sensor I installed two years ago, which inexplicably can change places so that there is a coordinate error. So they can't get in and out easily.”

“Where did you put it?”

“You can't see it. Too small.”

“Don't you destroy it?”

Alyx sneered for a choice Tom said. “You think I know everything, you just need to show me where you are

put that little thing down and I won't touch it.”

“At every corner. If exposed to hot water will be released. Just one thing that comes off, can cause problems. And

I think you've doused.”.

“I didn't know you stuck something in there.” Alyx interrupted. “Now I will be more careful and not

spilling my coffee around every corner. You satisfied? But I guess Lovely says they entered through the door?”

“If your neighbor sees them, he'll report to you soon, and you'll be here soon. Now it's…

because I have to go back to SOS, for a while you're back in this place. I'll bring the other stuff, tomorrow.”

Alyx so think that what this man did before is useless, let alone put his things in the cardboard.

“I thought you were going to live in an SOS housing, so..” Tom seemed to be trying to answer his thoughts.

“Good. Thank you for your help lately,” said Alyx immediately, before being mistaken for not knowing a profit.

Tom did not respond. Didn't say anything and left.

Alyx turned his gaze around, then closed his eyes. He will be alone again today.

*

Alyx who is saturated with his first months of being a doctor makes him want to take a vacation, following his world-traveling instincts. Capturing the beauty of the place he visited with a camera that has been in with him long enough—he only needs to change the lens to make it better. Being a doctor was his dream all along and aiming with a camera was an irreplaceable hobby.

Three years ago, Alyx was walking around Parliament House, having decided to take a vacation

in London—the city where he studied. Every angle was the target of his shot.

While in front of Big Ben, he looked up. He looked at her long enough. And then he took

his camera. Shoot it a few times. In various viewpoints. Targeting people who are passing by. And aiming at someone who was looking at the big clock. That's William, Alyx's father.

Alyx knew his father. Almost every night that face always appears in his dreams. Although now there is a beard that grows, but he knows very well that it is his father. Her nanny once pointed at the man who was already in front of her and whispered to her, it's Mr. William, he's your father. His memory is very strong and makes him remember every detail of the man's face.

He's still in his place. His head then thought of everything he had often questioned all along. Is he really my father? What if the nurse was just joking? If that man was really my father, why did when he came to Indonesia, he didn't pick me up and take me away with him? Or just greeting me? But, sister says it's a secret and he's really my father.

Alyx finally decided to meet the man who was only ten meters away from him. He walked, through the many people who were also on vacation that Sunday, and another meter, he would reach for his father's shoulder, but…

“Is there a doctor? Wife fainted. Oh my God, what's wrong with him.”

A woman fell unconscious in front of Alyx. A man hugged the woman while still shouting for help.

Alyx looked down—looked at the woman briefly—and turned away. Presupposedly checked. Seeking father. It's just that he didn't see it. His knees became weak. He knelt beside the fainted woman. Try him to walk faster. “I'm a doctor,” he said later and took out his equipment from inside his red bag.

*

Alyx opened his eyes. She was shocked when Jane's face was in front of her.

“What are you doing here? Didn't you exist.” Alyx stopped at the sight of the clock. Two hours have passed. Him

stand up. Stretch his muscles. “I'm not even tired, but it's easy to fall asleep.”

“Perhaps the influence of sleeping pills.”

“You're right. What are you using to my place?” alyx asked after coming out of the kitchen to get a drink.

“Taxi.”

“Kukira with the transportation tool that Tom talked about, earlier.”

Jane pressed her lower lip. “No. We can only use it up to the designated place.”

“And where is it?”

“Every one block from station—that is if you have to use it or in other words when we are in a precarious state. Tom was with you?”

Alyx nodded. “Oh yes, Jane, what is she like now?”

Jane's forehead lifted, but reading Alyx's lip movements, he asked back, “Don't you ever see him?”

Alyx nodded again. “But, I was thinking again, lest the person I saw was not my father.”

“Wah, hard too.” Jane looked at Alyx's face. “Like you.”

Alyx sneered.

“Your noses and lips are the same. You're the same height as it is.”

Alyx.

“Why? My answer is too simple, well?”

“That resemblance is often found. What I'm thinking now is, maybe you guys have the wrong guy. If he was my father, he should have met me by now.”.

“She's busy right now,” between Jane flipping through the magazine she's holding.

“If only he was my father, he had taken me to SOS.” a long time ago

“She definitely has a reason,” she replied again without any attention.

“If only he was my father, he wouldn't have let me alone.”

“You are not alone, there are many people who are always beside you,” Jane's eyes are inseparable from the picture of a girl in the magazine.

“If he was my father, he would take care of me.”

“Ah,” Jane exclaims, excited. “I heard he made a guardian angel chip for you. It must have been embedded in your body.”

No response from Alyx.

“That's... the pieces that make you take care of you. I don't know how it affects. I heard it can defeat your enemy in one touch,” Jane has moved indistinctly, kicking in all directions. “So, does it work?” he saw Alyx, he,

Alyx moves shoulders.

“He made that chip just one. Until now no one knew where the chip was. So there's no doubt that your father has placed a chip on you. He's your father.”

“If he really is my father, it means he does not love me,” muttered Alyx.
