SOS

SOS
Chapter 33

ALEXANDRA left the center towards the north, without turning again. He doesn't know what's going to happen next. Maybe he won't meet his parents. Nothing is clear to him.

In the middle of his journey to the East, Alyx occasionally turned around. I feel like someone is following him. However, no one saw him. He finally accelerated his pace.

A minute later, Alyx stopped and turned around. She smiled to find Jane bending— exhausted.

“Back!”

Jane caught her breath and shook her head. He quickened his pace when Alyx had returned to walking. “I have to go.”

“What will you do?”

“I can help you. I... I have to save Tom.”

“You seem to love him more than me.”

Jane blushed in shame. “I'm sorry.”

“Why?”

“Not should I like him like this, but, you should know that he is my soul mate.”

Alyx stop.

“Don't laugh at me.”

“How can you know that?”

“Because I met him earlier than his time.”

“I don't understand,” said Alyx and runs faster than before.

“Well, there is only one chip for two SOS babies. You won't understand because you didn't learn this. Tom is my soul mate.”

“You make me want to laugh. But, I can't possibly laugh at a time like this.”

“You are evil once. You should have learned this.”

“I don't need to learn about soulmate.”

“You're right.”

“But, How did you convince yourself?”

“Ah?”

“For example, someone says about your soulmate, how do you make yourself sure that person is really right?”

“You will know soon, Alyx.”

Alyx breathed.

“Amaris tell me.”

“Hiro..”

*

“Pacify yourself, you are not as ordinary as this,” said William grasping Abel's hand. They're in the SOS control room.

“How not, my two children are in danger and there is nothing I can do but wait.”

“Alyx will abuse me if I don't follow his wishes,” William has switched to a monitor screen. “We have to trust him. Isn't he our leader now?”

“I know. But, you can't leave it alone.”.

“Sadly you were wrong, Adalbrechta,” John's voice made Abel turn around. “I think my only son has caught up, Alyx.”

“Then I don't need to worry too much?”

“You really don't have to worry. As per William's request, I have ordered the Eastern SOS team to wait for them on every street. Good thing you can fix the communication system quickly.”

Abel sees William who is also worried.

“Well, my dear, I can't possibly leave it alone.”

“I know.”

“Ah, by the way about Jane, you are no different than your son.”

“William, my friend, you should have asked Adalbrechta.”

William raised his eyebrows.

“Adalbrechta tells us about his soulmate. You certainly know the reason he always follows wherever Tom goes.”

“I'm sorry,” said Abel regretfully, but instantly smiled at John

“No problem, it would be better for him if he alone saved Tom. At least Tom will no longer ignore it.”

“What did you say, John? Tom never ignored it.”

“Well, you're right, he only has traits like you.”

“Don't tease me at a time like this.”

*

“Don't tease me at a time like this,” Alyx said.

“I'm not teasing you. Just surprised. But, not so surprised, you should have known from the start. Or, I don't seem so sure. Ah, I don't know.” Jane stopped and shouted.

Alyx moved quickly and bowed beside the body lying lifeless. He opened the robe that covered the person's face. Alyx read the inscription written on the man's shirt. “Faints.”

Jane walks over and recognizes him as an SOS soldier who once came to her house.  “Alyx... there,” said Jane pointed to the street in front of them.

“Jane..”

“Iya?”

“You sure you'll keep walking with me?”

“I have to stay strong for Tom. There's nothing I can do but that.”

“He will feel that power.”

“You know that?”

“Actually I read a lot of books in the Prof library. Singh—includes a book that I think is strange.”

Jane hands him over and is instantly grabbed by Alyx. They both ran small.

Alyx's hand held Jane tightly.

“Alyx, I can hear your mother.”

“What?”

Jane saw Alyx smiling. “Are you too tense, you put out a lot of your strength.”

“What the hell?”

“I actually can't trace the mind at frequencies that are too far away, but because of you I can hear Adalbrechta.”

“I don't know what you're saying, but ask mom if she's okay.”

Jane was silent for a moment and nodded.

“Sgratitude.”

“He said, you should be able to control yourself, no matter what.”

“Imajeste.”

“Alyx... Why are your hands so cold?”

“I don't know, it's been since. Tense may.”

“What happened to Hiro?”

“Isn't he a strong man? But Jane, I'm not so sure my soul mate is Hiro. If it were true, I might have felt something. Is he in trouble or is he okay now, I don't even know. You understand what I mean, right?”

Jane nodded and shook her head—bingung. “But, where is he now?”

“I don't know. He said going to the East.”

“Something happens between you?”

Alyx silent. “Entahlah. I was being emotional earlier.”

Alyx and Jane finally get to see the blue halo clearly surrounding the car park.

“Finally you guys arrived,” Darrell's voice sounded. He stood within a circle of blue light in front of the entrance. “I thought you were going to run away. If you can't afford it, you'd better give that power to Azazil. Otherwise, he will destroy you.”

“You talk too much,” Alyx smiles mockingly. “You always say Azazil strong—Azazil this, that, then what can you do? You have no intention of destroying me yourself?” Alyx said it with confidence, while Jane who stood behind him could only pull out Alyx shirts.

Darrell's face instantly turned a dead red. He snapped his finger and entered the parking lot. A moment later, about ten robed people came out from their hiding.

“Alyx...” Jane whispered as she felt many thoughts floating in her brain.

Alyx and Jane turned around slowly.

“You can do it again?” ask Alyx.

“Last done it, I can only control your left hemisphere. I'm not sure I can do it.”

“I've heard a lot of people say this to me—Trust yourself.” Alyx patted Jane's shoulder.

The robed men surrounded Alyx and Jane.

“They want to catch you, Alyx,” Jane whispered as she read their minds.

“I know it,” Alyx said as he scanned the surroundings. “Jane...” call Alyx, but there is no answer from the girl.

Jane fell silent and concentrated on the two people in front of them.

One of them moved his hand and pulled the arm next to him. They then pull each other interesting.

Jane takes the chance and pulls Alyx. They ran and hid behind a wall.

“What's up?”

Alyx breathed. “You should have been stronger when he was there.”

Jane held her breath and shook her head.

“Breathe, stupid.”

Jane tried to catch her breath. “He is too strong, if I become strong, our soul chip will break.”

“Then, why did you come with me, you can't do anything.”

“Sorry,” said Jane regretfully and bent her face.

Alyx sneered. “Do not have such a face. Um, well,” said and stood up, “stay here and think of something how to bring Tom back.”

Jane nodded.

Alyx came out and ran away from their hiding place. A moment later, the men chased after Alyx. Alyx turned around to confirm how many people were there. He breathed tired of running. Alyx lowered his running speed and walked slowly. They also stopped running.

Once again Alyx noticed the objects around him. As some people approached behind him, the trees that stood firm as if bending— bent. Like being in a baseball game, a tree throws those guys. Alyx turned around and found three people still standing five meters away from him.

The three looked at each other. Doubtful to step forward.

Alyx looked at them with a stupid face. Makes them feel disdained. They ran forward. Alyx raised his hand upwards. Make the ground lift. Pulling the three-robed men towards the hole as deep as their bodies. After being trapped in the hole, Alyx dropped the ground back and only severed the heads to the three men.

Alyx leaves them and walks to where Jane is.

*

SOS becomes bright when the lights are on. Simultaneously, the blue light surrounding the parking lot disappeared.

Alyx is confused not to find Jane behind the wall. He's looking for her somewhere else. And found him in front of the entrance while looking up.

Alyx. Looking towards Jane to see. A second later, Alyx had dashed into the parking lot. The cars made him not move.

Jane moved slowly behind Alyx while still looking up.

The white haired man floated in the air. Down below was Darrell staring intently at Alyx.

“What's your plan, Jane?”

Not yet Jane replied, a voice that was translucent.

“I... will give a chance,” voice Azazil blaring, “you Darrell.”

Darrell nodded and ran forward. His hand gave off a blue light and directed it at Alyx and Jane.

Alyx pushes Jane— away from Darrell's attack. He was thrown into the wall.

Darrell's approaching. Making Alyx adrift on the wall with a blue light. Hand stretched. Darrell tied Alyx's wrist. The light shattered Alyx's bracelet.

From a distance, Jane stands trying to control Darrell. However, Darrell moves quickly and leaves Jane crashing.

“Jane...” shouted Alyx.

“Don't mind him. You better worry about yourself.”

Alyx stared at Darrell cynically.

Darrell's index finger moved, intending to place it on Alyx's chest.

Alyx moved the fingers to his two hands. Move the car and throw it in the middle. He almost hurt himself.

Darrell floated in the air. Avoiding two cars. His face grew louder as he lifted the frame of the car that had been destroyed.

“Do not do that,” Alyx said as Darrell again placed his index finger on Alyx's chest.

Darrell closed his eyes. Trying to pull Alyx's heart chips.

Alyx released the light that bound his hands. Closing his eyes, he followed Alyx putting his index finger on Darrell's chest.

From above the air, Azazil was clearly smiling looking at that state.

A few jokes later, Darrell weakened, his legs unable to hold his weight. He fell.

Alyx leaves her and runs towards Jane. But, the unconscious Jane instantly floated in the air. Alyx turned to look at Azazil.

Azazil's hand folded him to the front of his chest. Her hair moves in the wind. His smile seemed to be growing. With Darrell defeated, he knew that Alyx was indeed very strong.

Azazil set his foot on the ground. And make Jane kiss the ground beside her feet. Azazil moves around Jane.

Alyx was wondering what Azazil would do. And the next second Azazil lifted Jane up and threw her on the ground.

Alyx ran forward and kicked Azazil. He turned Jane around. Calling her name, trying to resuscitate the girl.

“What have you done?” Alyx standing. But before venting her anger, Jane moves in and holds Alyx's finger.

“Tom..” Jane's voice slowly.

Alyx understood, Jane couldn't possibly let him attack Azazil right now. Alyx leaned over and helped Jane sit down.

“She's there, Alyx. I can feel his mind. He was trying to get Azazil out of his body,” Jane said slowly standing up. “We have to do something before dawn.” Jane is moving forward. “Alyx, can you make it immobile.”

Alyx looked around. But, finding nothing.

“Quick, Alyx.”

“Do not ask the assortment Jane,” cried Alyx and immediately the water came out of the ground and pulled Azazil—'s wrists and feet making him unable to move.

Jane is getting closer. Jane's face is only a short stretch from Azazil. Jane looked at him and recognized Tom's different face as just long, white hair.

“What are you doing?” sounds different than before.

“Tom..” Jane hugged him.

“Don't..” now Tom's voice is clear. A few jokes then blue light shot out from Tom's body along with a sound of laughter.

Jane lowered. Kneeling.

Tom became himself. Alyx immediately took off the water that bound him and walked over.

“Jane...” Tom's voice tries to wake Jane.

“What happened?” Alyx was shocked when he saw tears streaming down Tom's face. And more surprised when Jane's already drooping weakly in Tom's arms.

“Jane Tom is getting hysterical.

*

In the main building.

“John...” Abel yelling.

Everyone in the room turned to look at him.

John immediately understood what made Abel hysterical. He moved quickly and prepared the door to the East.

“I'm coming,” William volunteered.

“I'll be fine. Stay here,” Abel said and follow John.

John and Abel arrive at the entrance. And a little run inside.

Alyx turned around and found two people running towards them.

“Alyx, are you okay?”

Alyx nodded. He looked at his mother sadly. “Mother..”

John sat down weakly beside his daughter.

Alyx could hear Abel sighing heavily. “What happened to Jane, mom?”

“He handed over the soul chip he had for Tom.”

Alyx raised his eyebrows not understanding.

“By having a whole soul chip will strengthen its owner.”

“He saved Tom?”

Abel nodded.

“You can save him?”

“I'll work. Take him to the main lab now. Hurry up, Tom, if you want to save him.”

Tom carried Jane. John followed behind.

Abel pressed his temple. And look at the bridge above them. “You better come with us.”

Alyx.

“Then what do you want to do here yourself?”

Alyx was surprised to hear his mother's voice rising.

Once again, Abel's gaze was fixed on the East.

“What do you see, mom?” alyx asked following Abel's direction.

“No...” said Abel and pulled Alyx's hand.

A moment later, Alyx's hand was placed on Abel's head. “Sorry.” Alyx read Abel's mind. “You see the future?”

“No,” Abel threw Alyx's hand.

“Back. Only you can save Jane. Let me take care of my business in this place.”

“No. No,” scream Abel.

“Mother... did Hiro and I share the same soul chip?”

Abel nodded slowly. “Save him,” said Abel finally.
