SOS

SOS
Chapter 26's

“PEOPLE came to Russel's great-grandfather trying to convince him that the Soul Thief had appeared in their midst. And the only one who could save them was the Russell— family - the owner of the power of the heart. A power that could clear the dark sky, clear the murky water, and a broken heart.

“Before our predecessor finally decided to make SOS, there were many devastating events

their souls—including the Thief of Souls who are as bright as light. No one knows how he stole those souls. Shrunk it. This was a reason that was rarely known by anyone other than the Russell family, keeping their people away from the Soul Thief.

“Moyang Russell met him, removed the power of the Soul thief, and took him out—away from SOS.”

Alyx sighed, hearing Abel tell a story. “For what did you tell that?”

Abel placed his index finger on Alyx's chest. “Moyang Russell was able to eliminate his power, then what can you not do with what you have now?” Abel smile. “Trust in you. You can do what you want to do and everything you want to see.”

“Really?”

“Sure.”

Alyx was silent for a moment and looked up at the face of Abel who was looking at him blankly. “What's up, ma'am?”

“Why do you think I told you about the Soul Thief?”

“There are other reasons besides the one you just said?”

“We should always prepare ourselves.”

Alyx chuckled. “Don't tell me you think he'll be back in the middle of SOS.”

There was no response from Abel.

“So it's true?”

“I can't know clearly. Lately a lot of events that make me feel he's back.”

“What about the higher-ups? Do they feel like you?”

“I dare not tell anyone other than you—family Russell,” Abel smiled.

“Then what should we do now?”

“No.”

Alyx frowned. That's not the answer he wants. And Abel knew that soon. He turned. Raising his hand and a pen and a piece of paper immediately moved from the table to the top of his palm.

“I used to want to be able to do what you did,” said Alyx flatly.

There was no response from Abel, his attention was only on a piece of paper, and his hands were clasped

pen—like do not know what to write. Moments later he drew a star and wrote a word in Greek. “If you come across a post like this— I hope not—you'll know what I mean.”

Alyx took the paper from Abel and once again frowned. “Mother...” She then looked at her mother's face with a slightly different look than usual. His tag was stretched forward and he put it on his clenched mother's hand.

Abel raised his face. “You'll be a better leader than me, right?”

“You're the best, bu.”

Alyx had walked the narrow passageway from the Walcott residence to the campus. He stopped and looked at the wall

concretes. He wanted to do something like his mother did. “Trust in you,” he said to himself. His eyes looked at the board that covered the door hole, “I can do what I want.”

Alyx closed his eyes. Breathe in deeply. Focus on thinking about what he wants to do. “Open.” Then, he opened his eyes slowly, and sneered. He stepped forward and pushed the board.

After setting foot on the green grass of the university, he sped up his pace, and headed for the study room

the leader.

Small body Prof. Pritpal Singh welcomed him.

“We start now,” says Alyx impatiently.

“Sit!” Singh closed the door and sat down in front of Alyx. “Tell me!”

Alyx sneered. “You always tell me to tell stories. What story?”

“What excites you about learning today?”

“There is not much time.”

“Besides?”

“What?” Alyx furious.

“Azazil,” Singh said very slowly.

Alyx was silent for a moment. “What is it?”

“Ka.. u haven't heard it?” tanya Singh was doubtful.

Alyx.

“Cannot be. Everyone is preparing for this situation. The leader of Aldachberta must have been

telling you. Although he may not know that we have known such moments will arrive— upon his arrival to destroy.”

“What will happen?”

“He likes a strong soul. He wants to seize the strong soul force.”

“Leader?”

Singh nodded. “I think if that's true, there's nothing else Azazil can go to,” he said it again very slowly, “ except leader.”

“He will come to me?”

“If he had come, I don't think any parents would have made his son a substitute

himself in the execution chair.”

Alyx's eyes widened.

“People think the leader's seat still wants to be occupied by the leader Aldachberta.”

“Prof..”.

“Ehm,” Singh turned around and looked at Alyx with a face like one holding back anger.

“Come we start training.”

“Good.” Singh chuckled little trying to melt the atmosphere. “Again, no one has ever seen any signs of his arrival.”

“I think the leader has seen it,” said Alyx weakly. However, a while later, “But, to me, it doesn't matter if he's already here now or not, as long as I can try to be strong, I'll be able to protect the people in SOS. Isn't that right?” Alyx smile.

“Sure. Sure.” Singh was excited. “I'll help you.”

*

After finishing training, Alyx came to Jane's house.  He ran into Jane's room. She half-cried, calling Jane's name when she realized the owner had just locked her room.

“Jane...” shouted Alyx while banging on Jane's door. He's not thinking about Jane who probably doesn't want her in this place right now. “Jane,” once again his screams are heard.

He turned around when he saw John just coming. “Hi, uncle, I hope you're not bothered by my voice.”

John smiled and Alyx continued.

“Jane, if you don't open it— I will..”.

Jane was in the room, sitting in a chair, and looking at the door. Waiting for what Alyx will say.

“I will..” Alyx thought for a while and growled. “You know that I just got back from training. You

don't think, if I could even smash your door open. So now open it, before I act rude.”

Jane raised her two eyebrows. Waiting for the truth to happen. But, a few jokes later, there was no sound. He stands. Want to know what's really going on out there. And before he reached the door, there was a click, the door opened. Looks like Alyx just asked for a spare key.

Alyx's face came from behind the door. “Sorry, I'm too weak right now, so I can't open your door

without key, let alone destroy it.”

“What happened to you?” Jane approached and found Alyx's face completely pale. “You sick? I'll take a drink for you.” Jane says it without seeing Alyx's eyes and tries to avoid coming into contact with Alyx while going out of her room.

“Jane,” Alyx caught his hand. “Stay here for a minute.”

“Ah...” Jane grimaces and attempts to remove Alyx's handgrip. A tear dripping. Alyx smile. “What's wrong with you?”

Jane's screams made John run small to where they were standing. But, John did nothing, he just looked at Alyx who was like he was calming a child crying out of fear at the person before him.

A little while later, Alyx fell down, his legs did not have the strength to support his body, his eyes were closed.

*

Jane stood beside the bed with her white bed cover. Looking at a girl who was fast asleep. He put down the glass filled with water and walked out of the room, then joined the others in the living room.

“He trained hard today,” said prof. Singh who came with William, “plus again with cleaning

mind, I guess she's getting really tired now.”

“Simply, it's been an hour since he fell asleep.”

“But, no problem right with it?” ask Jane to worry.

Singh thought for a moment. “Kurasa no. He's a strong boy. Then what about you? Tell me!”

“What story?”

Singh sneered. “Ah, you don't remember what happened to you. Or the guy who did that to you?”

“What do you mean.”

“No way, you should know.”

“How about you? You don't know what's going on with me either. You talk like you know everything

just,” murmured Jane.

“I do know.”

“Then why didn't you tell me?”

“A ban. Secrets are secrets. If you say it, it's not a secret, so I can tell you

what I know.”

Jane gawking.

“Ah, come on, I'm Professor, you won't understand. I'm going home now. You be careful, ask

a hint from Alyx, or something else. You're easily influenced,”

said Singh in a condescending tone.

“What does it mean, Dad?” jane asked shortly after Singh left.

“What do you think happened that night, Jane?” John asked back.

“See, dad, I don't remember at all,” Jane hugged her knee and saw William.

William shrugged and then his gaze fell on a girl who had just walked into the room

guest.

“Alyx, are you okay?”

“Sure,” answered smiling when he heard Jane's voice as usual. “Welcome back, Jane.”

“What did you say?” said Jane cynically. “I'm always here.”

“You're not here, since that night.”

“That night? You remember?”

“What? You're not?”

Jane shakes.

“When I woke up, I remembered everything that happened. That night, those people..” Alyx fell silent.

“Alyx, we have to go,” take William later.

“What's up, Uncle? I think Alyx should tell me something.”

“Not now, Asahy. We have to go now.”

Alyx only complied, after John told him to leave immediately with his father.

“You will stay with Prof. Sing until the day of the decider,” William said as they had been in the car.

Alyx didn't ask why, because he seemed to know what was going on. His eyes look out the window.

Stay with prof. Singh for a while, was not a bad idea, he could learn a lot from the old man. But, then he felt this was unfair when he heard William speak to the prof. Singh.

“I don't know what's going to happen, but don't let him out until a week to come when

everything feels normal again.”

“You must have traced her thoughts, she doesn't know how to close someone else's entrance yet, I have to teach her”

mummified Singh. “Ah, well, I understand, she won't be out of my residence until next week.”

A few minutes later, William left.

“You think something will happen?”

“Ah, you surprise me,” Singh said as he got Alyx to appear behind him. “I thought, they—your parents tried to protect you. You like books? Come, to my library.”

“Keren,” said as he looked at a library that was on the top level of Singh's house.

“The world is here,” he said proudly. “Look.”

“It should be a public library. You read everything?”

“Sure—I read all the titles,” said Singh chuckling. “Oh, yes, Alyx, you.” Singh be careful.

with the question he submitted, “remember the faces of the people you mean?”

“Ah?” Alyx turned and thought for a moment.

“Do you know him?”

Alyx is still thinking.

“If not, I will show you some photos here, and you can see them.”

Alyx turned his attention to the book.

Singh can only sneer when not noticed. “Alright, maybe next time, I should ask first,

before showing you guys,” muttered to the books on the shelf.

*

Alyx took advantage of his time at the Singh residence. Professor Singh was very happy to teach him. Alyx is a girl who quickly mastered what she was taught. Although the room used as a training ground became a mess—Singh

just smiling. Some things are even destroyed. Move without control during training. It's just that, for Alyx the most difficult thing is to trace the mind. He had not even been able to master that and also the equalization of the body elements.

In addition, many books have been read. From the control of the body, emotions, soul, and books about

the chips in SOS. But, what caught his attention was regarding the book Half Soul Chip.

“Ah that,” Singh said as Alyx asked. He showed his body through X rays. “See this,” him

pointing at an object on the screen, an object smaller than an atom and has been magnified.

“Splanted while we were still in the womb. Half for you and half for your other soul.”

Alyx nodded. Understood. “But you have the soul chip intact?”

Singh bertehem. “My wife handed it over before she left. Complementing my soul. You'll find her

later,” said Singh ended the talks and left Alyx still wanting to be there.
