SOS

SOS
Chapter 29's

“DULU..” Professor Singh answers the question Jane asked, “grandparents Russell family has imprisoned Azazil. Azazil was the first creation before SOS was formed. Creation of the Russell family that suffered a failure.

“Failure—too perfect to be a human. He has everything. He survived more than expected. He looked like Russell, tall, strong. Not like humans in general. He could heal his wounded self in an instant. And to Russell's dismay, as he watched Azazil fall from the twenty-floor building and he could be fine.

“Then, Russell took him to his small laboratory to examine the living system in his body. And find things that can have a bad impact on others. Had Azazil not known Russell's plan to correct the mistake he made, he would not have survived to this day. But, after learning that his power would be eliminated, he rebelled to the companions who had presented him.

“Azazil wanders all over looking for a strong soul he can disturb. For him to disturb a weak-spirited person would only be in vain, even if he sometimes used it for a complement. He likes a challenge. And the moment the strong-spirited gave up was the one he liked the most.

“Five years passed, Russell finally found Azazil who became stronger. Even so, Russell can defeat him and absorb his powers and imprison him against the spot with the SOS. In the desert, south of SOS.

“But, the seal that imprisoned Azazil did not last long, when twenty years later, he was present with Duke John Russell— the first leader of SOS..”.

“How can it?” sela Jane's.

“Well, the Russell family always says Azazil is like a light. He can keep you in his arms, without you knowing that he is a terrible man. You know, he was the one who proposed to John Russell to create a tureen that was welcomed by the leaders of the time. Azazil knew that the turren would make his strength flow well into his body. It took me a long time to make it and then it just worked because of the help of Arthur Holder that I heard had been Azazil's target before he joined SOS. Azazil who had reported about SOS in Arthur's ear.

“John Russell only realized about Azazil after so many years and all he could do with my great-grandfather was lock his power and put it back where it was. He was imprisoned for decades, the higher-ups who later learned of Azazil's whereabouts, each year—a few days before Determination Day, attempted to renew the seal. I have a duty to go with them. And we found the oddity, no screaming sounds asking to be let out. When we opened the sand dunes from the top of Azazil prison, we found Max who was already weakened. Looks like, he's been there for over a week.”

“Max? Didn't she appear on TV yesterday?” jane asked, feeling strange.

“You know who he is, Jane?”

“Azazil,” murmured Jane, “but why is Max inside that prison?”

“Legenda, Jane. Legend. He had heard the legend. Find Azazil and no one will exceed your strength. I don't know who told it? But, in my opinion, it was the boy of Azazil's descent who had brought him into SOS.”

Jane growling.

*

Abel made sure that the body that lay before him would eventually become dust. He's not Max, he should know that. As he set his eyes on each room, he could find no one else who had been watching him since.

“Alyx,” murmured. He immediately came out of the stuffy room, but shouted loudly when he found out he was trapped underground, in the southern part of SOS.

“Please your voice, sweet lady.”

Abel spread his gaze all over, but found no one who spoke.

“No need to search.”

*

With the direction of the higher-ups, Alyx and Hiro go with Amaris somewhere. The other higher-ups coiled around protecting the tureen. They think Azazil is coming soon and master a tureen transmitter that contains a masterpiece from Russell, a counterweight to soul energy. If he uses it, all SOS citizens will bow to him.

They could destroy the turren immediately, Azazil's power would soon weaken, and it would be easier to defeat him. Unfortunately, fifty percent of SOS souls are children who need an energy balancer to be able to live. Those children will not be able to survive abroad.

*

“For what we to lab, Amaris?” ask Alyx who walked first in a long hallway.

“Hidden.”

“What?” Alyx stopped walking.

“I'm sorry, Alyx. Ah.”

Alyx immediately turned around hearing Amaris' short scream. He was surprised to see Amaris motionless like a statue, right in front of him.

Only the eyes of Amaris move to the right and to the left. His hands floated in the air with his index and middle fingers that were like someone who was ready to peg with his two fingers.

Alyx asked Hiro who could not hide his gel smile. “What happened?”

“Ask yourself.”

“I?” Alyx realized that it had made Amaris' nerves stiffen. He took a deep breath, and weakened his nerves again. His hand held the hand of Amaris who immediately sat weakly.

“I surrender. They shouldn't have asked an old woman like me to protect you. You were supposed to protect me, not me,” Amaris sighed.

“I'm sorry, Amaris. I think right now, you just need to rest in this lab. Afterwards, let me and Hiro.”

Amaris touched Alyx's hand. “I entrusted SOS to you. Your soul can protect the SOS. Don't act rashly and let the redhead help you.”

“You're talking bouncy, Amaris?” alyx said without consideration.

“I am old, but I can still think clearly looking ahead.” Amaris stopped and looked up at Hiro who had looked up at the ceiling—dreaming. “Hey, you..” call Alyx on Hiro.

Hiro soon awoke from his daydream. “Ya?”

“Basic crazy boy,” murmured Amaris.

“Do not say that. I promised not to bother you. I'm bothering you too, because I always said to me as a child,” Hiro murmured.

“Well, I didn't expect this to actually happen. I can never confirm it, but I hope it's true—once again I say, I hope you guys don't act rashly. Go, son.”

“Come, Alyx,” Hiro just sat Amaris on a chair and opened the exit. “Quick, Alyx,” call him again.

Amaris looked at it and smiled. “Make sure you guys come back because there are always two paths I see. Make sure you choose the right path, Alyx, do not forget to always ask the redhead who is stupid.”

Alyx did not ask Amaris jokes, but it seemed like he would soon meet a man with stupid red hair who was also smart because he had to ask her—if it was true that Amaris meant.

*

Jane ran over when she heard someone calling her from outside the Singh residence. It had been almost thirty minutes of no lighting other than in the main building. This made it difficult for him to recognize the face of a man standing in front of Singh's invisible door.

“This is me...” the light-sounding voice of the man made Jane immediately aware.

“Tom? You it?”

“Iya, it's me.”

“Come, Tom. Dangerous out there.”

“Here only. I'm just for a second. So, come here, there's something I want to ask you.”

“But..” Jane thought for a moment. “You're not alone?” ask Jane before continuing when she sees something moving behind Tom.

“Yes, there's Darrel, he's driving me to this place. So, hurry up, there's still a lot to do. If you don't want to help.”.

“Alright,” by Jane. He looked at the square side of the door and before stepping his foot, he turned to see Singh looking at him from afar with a sad look.

“You know where Alyx went?” tom asked as Jane stood before him.

“You want to see him? Then I have to come.”

“No, just show me.”

“I have to come.”

“No...” Tom's voice rises.

Jane was slightly surprised to hear Tom's tone of voice as she scolded him.

Jane and Tom come in. When the car has driven, Jane realizes that only the car she is riding in is moving.

*

The luxury black car stopped briefly on a long bridge heading south of SOS. Darrel out. Looking down, down to the SOS river.

“What does it do?” jane murmured as she looked at Darrel who was shaking his hand in the air.

After that, Durrel got back into the car. “Do you really know where Alyx is? Don't make mistakes, sweet girl.”

“I know..” Jane stopped while catching something on her mind. Hearing the voice he had heard, Abel's voice.

“What's the problem?”

“No, keep going straight,” said Jane and stay focused on what she heard. And as the voice he heard grew clearer, he spontaneously shouted. “Stop here.”

Durrell stopped the car. And turning. “What are you doing?” ask with a tone that remains stable.

“No. There's just something I have to do here. Keep going until you find a house that only has lighting. They're there.”

“They? Who are they?”

“I mean, Alyx and Hiro. Ja. They go both.”

“Well, miss Asahyl, I know you're not a good person to lie to. But, a glowing house, well?” Darrel seemed to think, “get down,” he said later and the car door opened.

Jane looked out.

“You will accompany him?” Darrell asks Tom, “or will come with me. I'm a good person,” he said and murmured indistinctly.

Tom finally chose to get out of the car which while away looked luminous.

Jane looked at Tom. Although it did not seem obvious, but he knew the person standing next to him was Tom—the man he had long liked.

“What do you want to do?”

Jane was surprised by Tom's question.

“I can't be long here.”

“Where do you want to go?” jane asked, lowering her head.

“No need to know. You better leave now while you can go.”

“Why can you be with Darrel?” Jane ignored Tom's orders.

“That's all I can do.”

“What do you mean?”

“There are things I need to do. Don't argue and hurry back.” Tom holds Jane's shoulder. “Please, come back, it won't be long.”

“Can't you say anything else other than telling me to leave?” shouted Jane.

Tom pulled Jane into his arms. “I don't want anything to happen to you guys, please.”

“No. I know what you're thinking, Tom. And please don't get yourself too far,” Jane blew herself up. “Alright, I'll go, but, after knowing where Adalbrechta is.”

“What?”

“I heard it here. But I didn't think he was in one of these buildings.”

“What? Don't-don't..” Tom bent and touched the ground surface. Jane noticed. However, moments later, Tom and Jane have been knocked to the ground.

*

Jane opened her eyes slowly. Too heavy. And after successfully opening his eyes, he narrowed his eyes again when he found a blue light before him. Over time, he began to open his eyes after the light slowly disappeared. In his view was clearly seen a man who immediately asked a question.

“Well, you didn't lie when you said they were there, but they weren't the ones I was looking for,” Darrel said a little annoyed. “A good trap, it's just not worth it to me. I don't know what happened to that professor.”

“What are you doing?” jane shouted and tried to rebel from the chair after noticing the bond in her hand.

“Well, like this,” Durrel pointed at Jane's face and turned around, covering Jane's gaze from the person she was talking to, “I remember, she was the girl who used to be unable to stop laughing when she saw the comedy movie, she said, wept when we saw a cat falling from a tree. He can't control his soul,” he said and laughed.

“Very good,” said one who had just heard Darrel's chatter. “But, now, quickly bring the girl here, I can't stand it.”

“Alright,” Darrel bent and passed away.

Jane saw someone sitting in front of her.

One who sits on a black chair. His hand held his chin. He's a man. Wearing a black robe. It contrasts with her white hair. It was unclear how she looked, as her long and thick hair covered part of her face.

The sleeves of her robes slumped down, allowing Jane to see the image on her wrist. A picture of a star. Jane knows, that man is Azazil.

Jane notices Azazil looking bored. His head moved a number of times. He raised his chin. And smile at Jane and make Jane go wide. He moved his hand, making the bangs covering his face lift up. His blue eyes were blinking. Sweet. Handsomest.

Jane smiled. However, moments later, Jane was made aware of a weak-sounding voice.

“Jane..”

Jane turns and finds Abel leaning against the wall.

“Do not be fooled by his face. He'll take you to hell.”

“Adalbrechta, are you okay?”

“Iya.”

“I've asked you to take her to this place,” sound Azazil voice before the door opens.

“I'm sorry,” Darrell is facing soon, “but, it looks like the woman is still in the Center.”

“What is he doing there? Is he planning something? Um,” he thought for a while, “then take him to the North. I'll see it in the center.”

“But..”.

“No ‘tapi’, my dear son,” he said that sounds strange.

“Good. We will carry out your orders.”

“Well, I'm ready,” Azazil said and jumped out of his chair.
