ALYX and the others have reached the residence of John Walcott.
Jane had just given a blanket to Alyx who had been lying on his bed. Alyx's body was still very weak.
He regained consciousness several times when Max's bodyguards had smothered his mouth with chloroform, causing them to inject it into Alyx's body.
Jane looked at Alyx's face fixed and surprised as Alyx made a sound.
“Don't look at me like that,” Alyx said without opening his eyes. “I'm so sleepy. Has he come home?”
Jane knew Alyx was talking about William. “She was chatting with dad.” There is no sound from Alyx and Jane is worried. “Alyx,” Jane calls him over and over again.
“I'm sleepy Jane. If I may borrow your room for a moment.”
“Sure. Sleep well, I won't bother you,” said Jane, come out and join the others. “He is very tired,” Jane replied when asked the state of Alyx.
“What will you do next?” ask John about his best friend.
William took a long breath. “For a few days, let him here first, while I clean up the mess Max.” did
John nods and sees Jane smiling— is happy to have a roommate.
“What does Max want, uncle?”
Jane's question made Tom who was sitting outside sharpen his hearing.
“Come, Asahy. But, it looks like I will know soon, after meeting him.”
“Meet who?”
William answered Jane's question with a smile. “I'll see Alyx for a while, then go.” William went into Jane's room.
Alyx. Part of his face was covered in blankets.
William's approaching. Touching his daughter's hair. And looked at a face similar to hers, but then she muttered something, “but, you're as pretty as your mother. She must be happy to see you.” William came out after pecking Alyx's forehead.
Alyx opened his eyes slowly, watching the man he had been looking for disappear behind the door. He's got his forehead. “Dad,” murmured and a tear formed in the corner of his eye. “Mother?” ask her later and fall asleep.
*
Alyx opened his eyes and realized the night had changed by morning. This is his first morning at SOS. He pulled out his blanket and went to the bathroom for a while. When he finished, he made the bed.
“Wah, stay in my room often,” Jane said when she found Alyx pulling the blanket— tidied it up.
Alyx smiled and stopped as Jane looked at him for a long time. “You make me cringe. Why look at me like that?”
“You are very beautiful. Like someone I know.”
“You are also very beautiful. Very similar to the people I know. Yes, I said that yesterday too
photo Tom. He also looks like someone I know. And uncle John..”
“Already.... already... I know she is similar to who,” Jane is silent for a moment, “Megure,” she said and laughed, and found Alyx did not respond. It seems his interlocutor does not know.
“Miss Asahy,” voice of a woman heard, “breakfast is ready from earlier.”
“Iya Mrs's. Duff. He's my mother's brother, from Ireland,” he told Alyx. “Come breakfast.”
Alyx followed Jane who came out first. “What is Asahy?”
“Arabic, colorful—or can you say expressive,” Jane smiled.
“Morning, Uncle John,” greet Alyx to John who has been sitting in his chair while reading the newspaper. It looks like he had breakfast first.
“For Alyx, sleep well right?”
“Sure dad,” Jane replied, “she didn't even notice that I hugged her while she was sleeping.”
“What?” Alyx.
John smiled, folding the newspapers. “She's misting you for her bolsters. Ah, well, I'm leaving now. Children, children,
be a good boy,” he said and left.
“His favorite amulet.”
They had breakfast while talking. And Jane's line is probably related to a guy named Tom.
“What is your relationship with Tom?”
Jane almost choked with Alyx's question. A moment later, a smile spread across his face.
“Eh, obviously you like it.”
“Really?” Jane touched his cheek.
“You always smile when even just looking at his back.”
“Alyx... someone told me he has half the soul chip I have.”
Alyx was silent with a stupid face.
“Forget. You won't understand. Though you must have it too,” murmured Jane.
When it was over, Alyx went out first and sat down in front of the TV.
“Why don't you turn it on?” jane asked when she saw Alyx only looking at the TV with a black screen.
“What SOS has an artist?”
“What? You don't see this guy standing in front of you?” Jane instantly stylish with a cup in hand
his canoes and newspapers were clamped in his armpits.
“Ah..” Alyx grunts.
“I'm serious. I showed up in some of my dad— TV product ads like that TV you watch. Wait yeah,” Jane
turning on the TV, “one of my ads is still running.”
They were silent for a few jokes until Jane let out a hysterical sound that made Mrs. Duffy ran out.
He re-enters after seeing Jane's grin. “That's, you see.”
“Iya. Ja. But, why does this girl always show up?” alyx asked after a moment of silence.
Jane snorted a few times. “He shifted me,” he said in a sad tone. “She Adara Gilly White—English-Greek descent, her name is soaring at the moment. Icon teen girl SOS. His SOS name Adda which means rich. Well indeed he is the richest teenager at the moment.” Jane nodded a few times.
Alyx heard the meaning of the girl's name. Beautiful and rich.
“But some others gave him different nicknames. And when he was not a teen icon, he then got the name Gilly—he is very good at playing the sword.”
Alyx nodded. “You seem to know a lot about it?”
“He was my classmate at school first,” he said and laughed.
Alyx's attention then turned from TV to Jane who was seriously reading the newspaper. It was so serious that Alyx did not dare to disturb his concentration. Alyx noticed how Jane's forehead creased so deeply into what she was reading. If only he hadn't rebuked her, he might have started shouting.
“You see this. The rest of Russell's family should not have talked about the day of the decider. You know Alyx, it should be the day that the decider falls on five or eight more years.”
“It's still very long,” by Alyx.
“Yes, it should be like that. But, look at this,” again Jane patted the newspaper she was holding. “They even mentioned these two names. Adney and Ace. Know not, they're cousins.”
Alyx hears Jane's fiery explanation.
“What's up?”
The two women turned towards the voice that had just sounded.
“See Tom,” Jane switch on Tom, “they announced a new candidate and you know who—Ace is, yes, that stupid guy. But at least Ace is better than Max.”
Tom agreed with Jane, though did not say a word.
“Ah, but if I could choose, I wouldn't choose either of them. Look, I'm very
sure the two of them must have argued a lot by now. Um, let alone Max, he would have disagreed that his cousin was the leader.” Jane saw Alyx.
“So those two people are equally lacking. Evil Max and stupid Ace.”
Jane laughed at Alyx's conclusion. “Your first opinion of Max is right, but you don't mean fools really stupidly. You know what Ace means, right?”
“Iyaaa.” Alyx's tone of voice was a little doubtful. I don't understand why a fool should be called Ace.
“Ace—fulns given to superior people. Ace is a very, very clever guy, Tom was in his class, it's just that the guy doesn't know what's right and what's wrong. Um, he should ask someone and will determine his next move. Ah, and unfortunately he sometimes asks people who are not right—he's a person who easily believes in someone.”
“You seem to know a lot about this Ace too? Whereas the one who was in his class was Tom.”
Jane laughed a lot. “I don't actually know much. I just channeled Tom's thoughts,” he pointed out
“To be honest, you talk like someone is waiting. Uh, what else well.”
“Is it really like that?”
Alyx nodded.
Jane then looked at Alyx.
“What's up?”
“Wait,” Alyx tried to remember something, “Jane, if I'm not wrong, Max searched for something on my ring finger, and said about a protective chip.”
“Really?” Jane rushed to her room and came out with glasses on her face. “Let's see,
where uncle William keeps it.” Jane spoke while humming making Tom sneer. Jane notices every detail of Alyx's ring finger. “Why not exist? Means Max has taken it—seems right, he does want that, doesn't Tom?”
“Entah.” Tom moved his shoulders up.
“Ah, you're just like Alyx, don't know anything.” Jane leaned back on the sofa and sighed heavily.
“What else is it?” ask Alyx then.
“I'm hearing wind news,” Jane said in a flat tone. “I told the person who was
talked about by that person to ask directly to the concerned, but he rejected my proposal. Yes already..”
Looks like Alyx knows who Jane's talking about. Because when he said that Tom came out.
“What's the news about Tom spreading?”
“He screamed in his brain not to tell you, Alyx.”
Alyx snorted and was silent.
“That I was afraid that Tom would get angry. You're not mad, are you?”
“What who is angry. I was just thinking.”
“Oh,” said Jane briefly and humming indistinctly.
“What Tom has gone?”
“He steps where his feet take him.” Jane said that in an unclear tone.
Alyx sighed and leaned on his back on the sofa. “You want to be a singer?” ask Alyx origin.
“Why are you asking that? Is it because my voice sounds good?”
Again Alyx sighed and immediately changed the topic. “Where is your campus?”
“After home. Through the narrow passageway next door, until. Wh why? You're going to my college.”
“You have a lecture today?”
“Sure.”
“Just go,” proffer Alyx joking, “friend me streets.”
“Good.”
“Not so,” says Alyx, fast.
“Why?”
“I was just kidding. I thought you said you wanted to graduate soon, if you skipped, you wouldn't graduate more
fast.”
“So you never skipped?”
“No. Just overslept and not to campus.”
Jane's feet nudged Alyx's feet. “Same. He came back.”
“Who? Tom?”
“Not. The artist. He stopped in front of the house for a while, and left immediately. But he turned his car around and stopped in front of the gate. And now that he's down, look at this girl saying every step she's made in her brain. Open door! Open it yourself. If I don't open it, he'll pry it with a sword, he said. Whatever you want.” Jane shouted, hoping that the girl who was now knocking on the door would hear it.
“Why don't you..” Alyx stops when Tom comes in and is followed by the pretty girl behind him.
“Where did you find the girl, Tom?” said Jane cynically. Tom did not answer and immediately came out.
Alyx intends to enforce his position, but Jane holds him.
“He need not be respected,” whispered Jane.
“I just signed a movie contract,” said Adara.
Jane whispered again, “dia it's kind of with Max, just a different way.”
“I just saw you, who are you?” ask him to Alyx.
Alyx had already completely straightened his back. He was just about to answer, but Jane interrupted him.
“What's up, Miss Adara? Don't you have class? Why not go now.”
“I want to ask for your help,” Adara said directly as Jane had already pushed her out.
“No. No. gabe. No.”
Alyx only watched the two of them.
“Ahhhh, come on, Jane. Please!” adara's temperament is now changing—his eyes are sparkling to ask Jane to fulfill her wishes.
Jane grunting. Sighing repeatedly. “Ah, alright.”
“Nah, I will contact you soon when he arrives at the campus,” Adara leave immediately after saying so.
Jane threw herself back on the couch. “You didn't ask why?” he said after a moment of silence.
“It's none of my business,” Alyx's eyes are watching the TV in front of him, but his mind is somehow floating around. “Alright, why?” his question then heard Jane muttering indistinctly.
“She,” her tone is excited, “always ask me to read her lover's mind—people she always follows,” Jane changes her choices she said. “The problem is that I sometimes feel myself useless when dealing with his girlfriend.”.
“Because you like his girlfriend too.”
“Ha?” Jane was shocked and laughed. “Well, that's one that makes me unable to read someone's mind, but
I don't like Adara's lover, of course.”
“Then?”
Jane took a breath. “Dia Ace.”
“Ace we talked about earlier?”
Jane nodded weakly. “I'm too weak to be able to read his mind.”
“I guess he's a sloppy person?”
“Iya, but she's the best, I guess—besides her sloppy it was. He can distract other people's minds, move things with his mind, like the skills Leader has.”
“I've heard someone just use his mind to move things.”
“There are only a few in SOS. Then what am I supposed to do, Alyx? Adara will make me look weak. I don't want.”
“Take advantage of his weakness— while he is at his weak point, you just need to break through his mind,” Tom's voice
back up and join the two girls together.
“The ears are bat ears,” whispered Jane.
Tom cleared his throat. “I sometimes wonder what he's thinking. When I last met, I knew that he was looking for a way to eliminate his weakness.”
“He's like a program that traces every detail of someone's brain programs,” whispered Jane again in Alyx's ear.
Tom just sneered.
“You are all great,” Alyx said later. “What is it all because of the chip?” alyx asked in a hesitant tone. Fear
if the question will make two people around him, offended.
“Aged of a month we are fitted with an activating chip that activates pent-up expertise. Chip in Tom's brain
enable its advantages to hear the slightest sound or to any extent. And also the addition of chips is possible..”.
“Using chip selector tool? I've read it,” murmured.
“You know, yes it is true. The chip selector is placed on the baby's head and a chip will be attached itself. Tom's extra chip is progaming.”
“Great. How about you?”
“Chip activates my mind-reading skills and additional chips move one's mind. But, I
never use it, I just use my beauty to move someone's mind.”
Tom and Alyx sneered at the same time.
“You are very similar when you do that,” said Jane and immediately closed her lips with both hands.
