SOS

SOS
Chapter 18's

“WHY? Is something wrong?” alyx asked when he saw Tom glancing at Jane—cinis. The one being asked is silent. “I hope you guys don't play secrets from me.” Alyx said it with a sad tone. “You guys think I'm a friend, right?”

Jane nodded for sure and Tom left them both.

“Then what is Jane?” Alyx looked at Jane.

“Tom said, whether I want a story or not. So I decided to story,” said Jane and smiled. “You remember

regarding the wind news I said earlier that Tom didn't want me to tell you?”

Alyx. “Then what kind of wind she doesn't want is told me?”

“It's about parents Tom.”

“Ehm, you mean, Mr. and Mrs. Wilder?”

“Iya. Some people know that they can't have children.”

“Sorry,” doesn't feel good interrupting Jane again, but Alyx has to ask, “doesn't they get to have children, babies

tubes possible?”

“That's right. Mr. and Mrs. Wilder's these engineering developers and people know that even if they can't

having children, the Wilder family does not want to use this way—and as far as I turned out already twenty-five years ago Mrs womb. Wilder has been lifted,” said Jane quietly and then continued, “while Tom is my age.”

“Then did you hear the wind?”

“Tom is not Mr. and Mrs' biological child. Wilder. They just took care of him and raised Tom. He asks about this truth, but they say nothing and like cover up something.”

“So because of this Tom is angry at Mrs. Wilder,” murmured Alyx.

Jane shakes. “Tom then find out the truth—dia is trying to prove that Mr. and Mrs. Wilder was his biological parent—by looking at their brain keja system, you know actually a child has the same brain working system as the parent's brain, but Tom found no similarities. Yeah, I've been thinking about this for a long time, you can see for yourself, if it doesn't exist

similarities between them. From that day on, Tom began to question his biological parents and found something I had never thought of before or could say that this was amazing.” Jane's voice was excited.

“What is it?”

“That Duchess Abel Adalbrechta Russell is her mother.”

“Oh.”

“You're not surprised to hear that?”

“Why be surprised? Well that's cool, because her birth mother was a Leader.”

“Not only that, my friend. But the important thing is, no one knows that the Leader has been married.”

“Only you who do not know or others do not know? You don't know much,” murmured Alyx.

“I said no one knows.”

“Are you sure?”

“Entahlah. But how could he have been married and no one else knew. He would become a leader when he was twenty.”

“Maybe he married at a young age—for example nineteen years—and had a child, only his old life was not exposed and only became a gossip as you now hear. So, I think it's possible that the SOS Leader is his mother—not to blame.”

“I heard your tone of voice didn't care much.  Yes, indeed SOS citizens married in their twenties. But wait until I say next? You remember I said you guys looked very similar. What if you guys are brothers?”

*

In front of Alyx, William sat staring at him. For some time no sound was heard, until Alyx asked.

“Can I hear about my mom?”

“What did you just hear from Jane?” William asked and smiled. “You want to walk?”

take William later. They came out of the Walcott residence and walked in the park. There was no Jane, she had entered the classroom about an hour and a half ago after saying she would return to take Alyx with her.

“What's my appearance in SOS making things difficult for you?”

William smiled. “I should thank you for coming early and.

memiliki friends.” William's gaze was fixed on a girl who was running towards them.

Alyx looked at Jane who did not care about the dress that was lifted while running.

Jane looked bored and stopped at the gate of her house. “Alyx...” he shouted and waved

his hand—ask Alyx to approach. It's time he brought Alyx.

“He took me around University SOS.”

“Then go.”

“But there are many things I want to ask.”

“We will meet this afternoon. I'll pick you up later and you can walk around my office.”

“Really?” Alyx seemed very happy to hear the offer. “But..” he said then a little doubt.

“What's up?”

“Are I and Tom brothers?” Alyx asked suddenly recalling Jane's statement.

William's forehead creased, not understanding his daughter's question.

“Some people said that Mr. and Mrs. Wilder's not his parents. And her mother is my mother.”.

“Alyx,” Jane's voice sounded again.

Alyx hissed and saw William smiling.

“Go! I'll talk to Mr. Wilder to question the meaning of my daughter's sentence.”

Alyx sighed and turned around to see Jane already standing impatiently while holding the gate iron.

“Alyx,” William's voice is heard before Alyx moves away.

“Ah?”

“We will meet your mother soon. He will be very happy when he sees you standing in front of him.”

Alyx smiled and walked over to William— hugging his father for the first time. William stroked hair

his daughter. Alyx initially thought he would hate his father when he found him, but for him it was a precious opportunity to still be able to meet a father.

Alyx's smile did not stop expanding as he approached Jane.

“Quick,” said Jane and turned on William as they had walked away.

“What's up?”

“No. Just hearing something. Come fast!” jane's hand was already pulling Alyx's hand and a small run came into

a narrow passageway.

How confused Alyx was when he only found a giant concrete wall and did not find a door. There's only one board leaning.

“This is the back of campus. If it's not through here, I have to drive around again and it takes a long time,” Jane said as she continued walking. “Tom's tools are helpful.” Jane pushed the board that was no more than a meter in size. And there was a door hole, smaller than the closing board. The hole was about ten centimeters from the ground and only one and a half meters high. “This square box hole maker. I don't know how to take it off and I'm just asking Tom— that she was nagging, but then she used it too.” Jane was just about to step in, but turned around, “lucky your body is not big.”

“Why?”

Jane doesn't have to answer Alyx's questions.

Alyx looked at the tree that was covering-blocking the hole. She sighed and followed the way Jane tilted her body so that it could pass through the tree.

Jane ruffled her waist, her face like she was thinking about something. Alyx removed the small leaves that were on his clothes.

“So your lecture is done?”

Jane's index finger was placed in her mouth—asked Alyx to be quiet for a moment. Then, he cleared his throat. “You know, there,” his hands are pointing in the air, “many thoughts are hovering. And I'm looking for the minds of the people I want to meet.”

“Then, have you found it?”

“He's not here. C'mon.”

“Where?”

“I told you I'd take you around, right?” jane's hand then pulls Alyx—'s hand making her step fast.

“So, your class is done?”

“Already. But there's still a second class— in half an hour, my stuff's already there for proof I'm going to attend," Jane said of the origin, seemingly lazily waiting, "so we can still get around before getting into class.”

Alyx and Jane had walked in front of the classes whose doors were closed. There are certainly students who are

study in there.

But suddenly Alyx gasped when he realized the color of the wall paint that suddenly changed color— which was once soft blue is now gray. Jane then explains how the color of the wall follows the weather. When the sky is clear, the walls will be light blue, while when dark will be gray. Or change with the season.

The building they passed by now faces north—where the gate stands firmly.

“We are at ST College, Programming Department. They program the tools and other machines here—coding and make it useful.”

Alyx just glimpsed from the window how the student very quickly put together—spanning separate tools into one part—like seeing a fast-paced movie.

“Great,” murmured Alyx.

“Yes, yes, yes,” Jane heard Alyx mutterings many times, “you must think they did that already from the beginning?”

Alyx clutching for sure.

“You're wrong. They had to spend a considerable amount of time practicing before being able to get into the highest level programming— class in ST. But, there are still classes after that, additional classes, as Tom— follows brain system programming.  Lecturer only gives theory for one semester—the rest if students still feel less with the theory they have, they can still take additional, more,

and just rising to the next level—residual semester everything will be done by Instructor.”

“So, you went to college just to practice?”

“Isn't practice makes perfect? Well you should know, if in fact the university is where we are - we train our skills or abilities. But, for those who do not intend to make their expertise grow, they can go to another university like in your city.”

“Means?”

“They prepare themselves to lunge out of SOS early—we can actually also to work outside of SOS, but will people easily accept such special skills, he said,” said Jane then while pointing to a wall, “except in a certain place.”

Alyx looked in the direction Jane was pointing. A middle-aged lung man and in a dark blue suit—rapi was watching the wall for a while and noted something on the paper he was holding.

Jane smiled at the confusion on Alyx's face. “This Art College. Start folk art, art of management, art of painting, even you can find art of camouflage here— as I showed you.”

“Ok,” says man in blue suit.

A moment later, a man appeared on the wall—sticking like a lizard. He cheered in excitement and drew closer to the instructor who had just picked up his grades.

“She was camouflaged,” said Jane pulled the hand of Alyx who was still watching the man. “People like him, often needed outside of SOS, their disguises are never uncovered. Many research bureaus have at least good relations with SOS.”

Jane and Alyx are now walking around the student park. Occasionally Jane speaks—explains.

Alyx's attention then turned to some students who were talking in the park and turned to other children. The clothes they use are very graceful—men wear shirts or suits and women wear dresses like the one Jane wears. As he was, he looked down, looking at the clothes he was wearing. A shirt and shirt as an interior, and jeans.

“What everyone uses clothes to party?” tanya Alyx exaggerates—their actual clothes

simple, but looks very graceful.

Jane smiled and stopped to reach for her right leg. “See, I use sneakers.”

Alyx looks at the white sneakers Jane is wearing.

“Should have, I lent you one of my dresses,” Jane said and looked at Alyx from top to bottom.

“Do I look weird?”

“No. I also often wear clothes like that, while on vacation. But, for us the School is an important place—other than at the party, important meetings also take place here. Some instructors have indeed been really experts in their fields and also work in the SOS—yah office, they are important people,” Jane smiled. “She came,” cried a while later.

A girl, walking very confidently towards them. “I've been waiting for you from earlier.”

“Then where is your lover?” ask Jane in a tone that doesn't matter.

“She's inside,” Adara leads to one of the classes.

“Again she walks into Psychoanalysis class,” muttered Jane. “Ace was trying to analyze his soul,” whispered to Alyx.

“He's out soon. I will talk to him in front of the class,” Adara said and walked to the front door.

Jane pulls Alyx to hide behind one of the square-shaped buttresses wide enough to hide. Jane started peeking and Alyx just smiled looking at her behavior.

He then leaned back and looked at the flowers with many colors decorating the periphery of the corridor. There are even

many butterflies fly freely. He had to get used to animal friendliness to start befriending a human—one of the butterflies with wide wings clutched in his palms.

“What is this original?”

Jane turned to see what Alyx was asking. “You think it's plastic? Of course it's original.”

Alyx tried to fly it, but the beautiful butterfly did not leave.

“Try it, I can interpret animal language, I will probably know what it says. Because he seems to be talking. Look, those eyes are staring at you sharply.”

Alyx brought the butterfly closer to his face and smiled. “You like me?”

Jane sneered and returned to her lookout. “Dia out. She's out.”

“Just do your job.”

“What if he knows? Maybe now he's smarter.” Jane sees Adara turning around and tells her to calm down.

“What does Adara want you to know from her lover?”

Jane turns to the source of the sound and finds Alyx squatting down and playing with the small animals there. “What are you doing? Don't touch that black spider, he's poisonous.”

Alyx. “He looks at you sharply, Jane,” he said with a fluffy smile on his face.

Jane snorted and returned to her duties.

Alyx returns to his game with the small animals that have gathered before him. She's ever been

found a lot of animals like this in Indonesia, but this time is different. Because they gathered together, without hurting each other, Alyx thought.

Adara's voice now rang out, having let the other students leave first. “I've been waiting for you

long.”

“I didn't tell you to wait for me.” A man came out. The suit had already been released and clad recklessly in

her neck. His face looks very tired, but does not eliminate the already handsome face. He moved his neck, making his long bangs cover his eyes. “What's up? Ah I'm so tired,” she said before Adara answered her question. “You said there was a need, right?”

Jane smiles hearing Adara's indifferent attitude.

“What did you do until you didn't have time to contact me?” asked Adara in a low tone but a little emotion.

Jane smiled again. Looks like he'll be involved in a pair of lovers' silly quarrels. Moments later, Jane pulls away, hiding. “Almost,” said and stroking chest.

Alyx sneered, looking at the busy Jane herself.

“Adara asked a very, very, very important question,” Jane said. “And there was no reply from the man in front of Adara. Ah...” Jane shouted, shocked to the point of not realizing she had nudged Alyx's head who could only snort while petting the rabbit who had just joined the white rabbit— which was only the size of his palm.

“Ace, I'm sorry,” Jane said as she rubbed her hands in front of her face.

“Indeed what are you doing?”

Alyx looked up only to realize Ace's voice had been very close.

“Ayo Alyx,” Jane invites Alyx to go now.

But Ace's palm was already on Jane—'s head asking him not to move out of place. “So Miss Jane

Asahy Walcott or spyglass.”.

“Don't call me that,” says Jane stays down, “I'm not keker.”

“Alright, what are you doing? Explain honestly.”

“Nothing. I... I. just accompany my friend to play with his new friends,” Jane said then while pointing to Alyx whose gaze was still fixed on the small animals that looked up to see him.

“What's up, anyway?” alyx asked as Jane pulled her arm.

“I'm with you playing, right?” whispered Jane.

“Ah, yes,” Alyx said to the man before him. Her eyes narrowed trying to smile sweetly like Jane.

Jane had pulled Alyx to walk, but stopped again. “What else, Ace? I can't possibly read your mind.”

“Ha, you got caught.”

“Ace..” Adara has called him.

“Go yourself. I still have class,” Ace said without turning around. “That girl always makes me depressed,” murmured Ace. “So... Can you get into my mind?”

“Yes, when you answer Adara's question. But, before no, so I know, you just let me.”

“That means, I've succeeded. Ah.. glad it feels. Alright Miss Spyglass, you can go.”

“Ace..” Jane grunts and pulls Alyx.

“Jane...” Excite Alyx, “Why with these animals?”

Jane turned around and saw some small animals following Alyx. “Ah, they make me cringe,” said Jane trying to drive away the animals who did not want to leave her place.

As Alyx and Jane ran, the animals ran as well. And finally they stopped and turned to look at the animal who also stopped and looked up.

“Do you bring food?”

Alyx. “What will they go after being fed?”

As Alyx and Jane argue over the animals, Ace approaches and bows before Alyx.

“What's with them?” ask and see the animals one by one. “Go!” as if knowing what Ace said, the animals left.

“Weird home,” Excited Jane.  “What else is it?” tanyanya was arrogant to Ace.

“I don't want to talk to you,” Ace scoffed. “You're Alexandra, right?” ask him to Alyx who later

immediately remembered the man before him. “I Hiro.”

“Oh, yes,” exclaim Alyx aware of different man's face due to his hairstyle, “Hiro.”

“So... you? SOS?”

Alyx nodded slowly. “I also just found out. So you're Hiro or Ace?”

“Two,” he said as he reached out his ladder and was greeted by Alyx.

They shook hands while continuing to smile for quite a while, until Jane separated them.

“Alright, I think we should go now. Come, Alyx.”

“See you, Alyx, good to see you here.”

“Entah why I can read his mind now.” Jane whispered as they walked away. “Don't get too close to a guy like him.”

“Spyglass..” Hiro's voice is heard and gives Jane goosebumps.

“He heard you?”

“I told you, right, that he excels at everything? Uh, it's time to go in, come on.”

“Where?”

Jane had already pulled Alyx into the classroom which had refused many times. “No problem.”

Some of Jane's friends saw the two girls pulling each other in front of the door.

Alyx and Jane cleared their throat together. Patting their clothes. And Alyx tried to be ordinary.

The chairs are arranged from the back-high to the low-— divided into two groups. While in front of the class, a more elite table and chair was located next to the blackboard.

“Hi, Jane,” greet one of the girls, his classmates.

“Hi, Belva.”

“Who is he?” belva asked tilting her head, looking at the girl behind Jane.

“Brother. I took her around.”

“Come, sit down,” Belva let Alyx sit in one of the chairs.

Alyx nodded. And sit next to Jane who has been sitting behind the table in the front row.

“How do you know him?”

Alyx knew what he meant was Hiro. “We accidentally met in London, he was looking for someone.”

“Really? Turns out she was out of SOS.” Jane fumbled inside the desk drawer and moments later

yells. “Where is my bag, Bertnard?” jane asked one of the men who was busy looking out the window.

“Nothing,” answered without guilt.

“Basic. I'll kill your crow, when he flies in front of me,” cried Jane exasperated.

Bertnard sneered and smiled widely as a black crow alighted at the window. Looks like he's already

waiting for him from earlier. A piece of paper stuck to his beak. “Thank you, well,” he said and stroked his fur gently.

“Belva,” Jane then asked Belva who immediately pointed at the top of the closet.

“Basic honest man,” Bertnard said when asked to take back Jane's bag.

A minute later, the class became very silent. No one's making a sound. A man with a round hat stepped into the classroom. He wears a small, brown-black checkered suit to disguise his distended stomach.

“Argh,” the sound of screams sounded dismembered.

All turned and saw Bertnard who was still busy with his crow, moving in a frenzy and sitting in his chair. Everyone laughed to see it. “Sorry, Sir,” said later.

“What happened?” alyx whispers.

“As you can see, Sir moved it using his mind. She Senior instructor—Sir Herwit—trainer moves minds.”

“Miss Ashahy Walcott.”

“Yes Sir.” Jane's face looked serious.

“It seems you've stopped hating this class, well?”

“No, Sir... uh, I mean yes, because I have to graduate soon,” Jane's mutant.

The German man laughed loudly. “Iya. Ja. Pass— sooneven you don't want to learn how

moving someone's mind. Then...” Sir Herwit approaching, “Who is this girl? Like his face is not foreign.”

Jane lifting chin, “She Alexandra Holder, sir.”
