“I didn't find it there,” cried Tom as he arrived at John's house. “It's my fault. I shouldn't have let it go myself.”
Jane, standing next to Tom, tries to calm him down. While John sat in his chair—just stared ahead.
“Pacify yourself,” said John moments later.
Tom sat down, trying to relax. His face was drowned in both of his palms. “This clear
max,” muttered as Jane sat next to him. “He definitely wants something from Alyx,” said Tom sure.
“Do you think Max wants a protective chip—I think there's only one. Uncle William who implanted the chip in Alyx and Max's brain would take it.” Jane looked at Tom no less convinced by the conclusion he had made.
But, the next John broke their belief. “To my knowledge, William never implanted any chip in Alyx.”'s brain
Jane and Tom immediately looked at each other, surprised by John's words.
“But, Jane gave Alyx an activation chip—though it was temporary—I thought it managed to activate the chip that had been embedded in Alyx.”'s brain
Jane smiled small— felt her discovery was successful, but then hid her smile back.
John stood up from his seat, his hands crossed at the back. “Baby one month old, will
implanted chip. In contrast to Alyx, the day when the chip plant was activated and the selection of other chips, Alyx disappeared. He was kidnapped by someone we didn't know until now who had done that. Alyx was found in William's study and William decided to take him out of SOS, after giving him an external chip that was only paired on his mascis— so that no one could trace the place where Alyx was. The chip that people talk about is indeed true there is only one.”
“What? What?” Jane does not believe. “It means my giving chip only activates Alyx's hidden ability?”
ask Jane—more on herself.
“But, I guess,” Tom stands, “there's something uncle doesn't know. Max couldn't possibly have brought Alyx without something he wanted from the girl.”
“We don't know yet, is it true that Max has done careless actions like this. We just have to wait.”
“Waiting until something happens to her? No. gabe. I'm going to meet Uncle William and take us to find Alyx. He definitely knows better what we have to do,” Tom said leaving John's room.
Jane stared at the door that was closed hard. He stood up and looked at his father for a moment. “I guess, Tom's right, Yah.” Jane ran out and followed Tom.

SOS MAIN LABORATORY
Tom and Jane looked at the large lettering above the main laboratory gate. They arrived about an hour later. The laboratory is located five hundred meters from the central building which is lined circularly by trees.
Tom had told the secretary who was guarding in front of William's workspace, but the secretary instead told them to wait for— because there was a meeting upstairs.
Tom waited anxiously. He could not sit quietly. If he sat down, he would stand up again,
or else he will pacing—make the eyes of the secretary follow him back and forth.
Nearly an hour later, the secretary said the meeting was over. Tom was standing in front of the meeting room. Waiting for Alyx's father to come out. A minute later the door opened. Some people in white suits came out. Tom watched every one that came out, but what he was waiting for had not yet appeared. He dared to step. Bend your head inside and see someone in front of the whiteboard— who is still busy with the papers in his hand and match them with the writing that meets the board.
“Professor William,” Tom's voice boomed in the meeting room.
William turned. Handsome guy figure with square glasses decorate his face—smile. Tom approached. They look the same height.
Tom looked into William's eyes and shook his head— obliterated his other thoughts about the wind he had heard. Tom returned to the problems he had caused. “I think I should say this to you.”
“What's up, Alden?” william's voice sounded—heart-wrenching. William stared at the boy who had always run away as he visited the Wilder family home.
“I've made a mistake. Alexandra disappears.”
William's forehead wrinkled. I don't understand how Alyx has been in SOS.
“I brought her here and now someone has kidnapped her, I guess. I thought you could help him.”
William was silent as a joke. Ask Tom to follow her.
Jane who waited outside—soon followed the quick steps to the two men. They're headed for the workspace
William.
William's workspace is located on the second floor. The three of them entered the room with a predominant white color. From the door to the inside, everything was white.
The computer, inserting some external chip-related numbers in Alyx's ring finger, makes it easier to track its presence in SOS. And soon find out where his daughter is now. His face was suddenly agitated, his forehead wrinkled, thinking why the men had brought him to the laboratory.
“He was in the lab.,” he said later.
“Here.”
“No. But in the lab. building center.” William stood up from his chair and immediately came out followed by two teenagers who were equally confused with William.
Secretary William had just stood up to greet his boss, but sat back down as William walked very quickly.
Tom watched William's footsteps. It means something is happening. They have now descended to
first floor and into an elevator that takes them downstairs.
The elevator doors opened, a passageway that was bright with lights and silver walls welcoming. Tom and Jane follow William. The two of them had never set foot in the passageway that seemed to be connected to the lab.
Arriving at the end, William entered a few numbers and the door opened. A fairly large laboratory that is underground looks very awesome—only the Russel family who used to do experiments in the main room of the laboratory.
Tom and Jane looked in admiration. They've never seen a lab this grand. And they soon found out that the chips were forming in this lab.
*
Two hours ago.
Alyx opened the windshield and asked politely at a man who looked old and a little creepy with a big beard.
“Are you Alexandra?” his thick lips moved very slowly.
Alyx nodded.
“Then, can you open the car door, and get out for a while.”
“What?” Alyx became a little suspicious of that person. He tried to raise the window of the car, but was prevented by the man.
His hands firmly held the glass and pulled the door.
Alyx did not move as another smaller man had smothered his mouth with chloroform.
The bigger man grabbed Alyx and put him in the car. Taking him to a place far enough away, they were only an hour later in a laboratory under the central building.
Someone welcomed the men who had brought Alyx.
“Sorry to keep you waiting a long time, Sir Adney.”
Max smiled satisfied with the work of his subordinates. He turned around and put in some numbers and the door opened. Max asks them to lay Alyx in a long chair with a raised backrest. But, a few minutes later, he ordered his subordinates to move Alyx again.
*
“What's Sir?” ask one of the researchers wearing a white uniform like William. From behind his glasses, look at his narrowed eyes—though not smiling. He was younger than William
“Juro, did you see Adney bring a girl to the lab.this?”
Juro—the Japanese guy nodded. “But, he came out about twenty minutes ago with two people
others and I don't know what they're gonna do with bringing the girl. I dare not ask, Sir.”
William sighed. “It looks like he changed the coordinate point of the chip on Alyx's finger,” murmured. “To which direction do they go?”
There are four doors, William, Tom, and Jane enter from the south door. They noticed Juro's finger pointing towards the door to the east.
Tom could catch a surprised expression from William, but he did not have time to ask as William had passed away.
William entered his identity number and the door opened. Another hallway to the other room.
“Where?” Jane asks Tom about the place he's going to be, but Tom shakes his head, this is the first time they've been here.
Upon arriving at the end of the passageway, William again sighed.
Tom and Jane look at the writing on the door. They often hear this place, but just saw it firsthand. “Investigation Room.”
The door opened after William again entered the numbers.
*
Twenty minutes ago.
Max just smiled, but it was clear on his face that he could have jumped up happily— laughed out loud if only there were no subordinates in the room. He then ordered them to take the weakly rolled Alyx and follow him.
No one dared to ask Max's intentions, who rarely set foot in the lab. Other researchers can only see him doing as he pleases.
The east door opened, Max and his subordinates who had raised Alyx walked into the investigation room. I don't know what Max meant by taking him to a room that was only occupied to convene SOS residents who proved problematic.
Alyx was put to sleep in the same chair as the one in the lab. His hands were locked on the arm of the chair. Max was sitting in a chair that turned his back to the entrance. With his cynical smile, he was sure the person he was waiting for would come.
*
William, Tom, and Jane find someone sitting on their back to the entrance. From the color of his suit, Tom knows that the one sitting is Max, but Tom doesn't care about it anymore, when his attention is on a girl who falls asleep in front of Max.
“What are you doing, Adney?” william's voice made Max's smile expand.
“Ah.” Max stand. Waving his long coat back. “How are you, Sir William? I didn't know you were coming here. Can you explain the purpose of your arrival?”
Tom became furious himself. At least he wanted to smash his neat rows of teeth, if only Jane's hand hadn't touched his arm.
“Actually I was just about to convict a girl, but I don't think she's conscious yet. So I waited patiently and it turns out you came.”
Max turned. “Ah...” said in a very happy tone. “Do you know this girl, Sir? Otherwise I will start my own trial and you can leave this room.” Max was silent, waiting for the reaction to emerge from William.
William smiled— his calm demeanor made Max look a little furious. “On what basis did you bring this girl to the investigation room?” William followed the way Max played—who was acting pretentious. “You never even follow some trial in the realm of justice to know when someone can be down to the investigation room.”
“No, no. You are wrong. I have a basis that this girl should be tried soon.”
“Without trial in advance in the realm of justice. You are too careless, Sir Max Adney Russel.”
Max is really angry now. “Isn't she your daughter?” ask her then and smile triumphantly. “You made him live outside of SOS when he was a citizen of SOS.”
“I'm very grateful that a would-be leader like you takes care of my family affairs.”
“No, not like that. It seems, I must stress, that you have actually come to the guilt of letting it..”.
“You never took Constitution class, Adney?”
Max smiled wryly.
“You should know very well about the contents of the SOS law. That an SOS citizen can live abroad SOS for a reason.”
Max then smiled widely and approached. He had now stood only ten cent in front of William.
“What is the reason that requires you to take him outside of SOS, Sir William?”
“Tot much you should know about someone's personal life.”
“No. As a prospective leader, I should know about all this—because it might just be him,” he said pointing Alyx, “can be dangerous for my country.”
William smiled and turned his head to the side. “How can such a girl can civilize our Country. Or it seems like you feel there is something special about my daughter.”
Max seems very interested in this discussion.
“Sedang, my daughter does not have a chip embedded in her head, as you have.”
“Are you sure about it? I'm not feeling.” Max turned away from William and approached Alyx who was trying to open his eyes. Max looked at Alyx's face carefully. “Alright, if it's like this, I'll report to the court immediately about your daughter's story. Surely you must also be there, Sir, for having let it..”.
“Ah, not again, Adney. No. gabe. He'll stay with me. And you know this because of whose efforts? It is because of your efforts that have found her. And of course you know what it would be like if everyone knew about my daughter's presence,” William has been next to Max. “You... got an additional rival, Adney,” the voice of William can only be heard by Max.
“You do not think of the impossibility that will occur, Sir. Something could have happened when everyone found out about your daughter's presence that day had been reported missing. And the most important thing is.the secret of who has given birth to it, Sir,” said Max satisfied. “Nobody knows how you can hide someone's birth. Obviously, no one knows about who gave birth to this girl, he.” He said it with a booming voice in the investigation room and then grinned. Max's grin looks pretty creepy.
Tom and Jane who had just been standing in front of the entrance of—s looked at each other, not understanding the secret that Max was talking about.
“But,” said Max a moment later, “I know who. And what happens if I report it all over SOS?” he asked more of himself. “Ah, I should have been there by the time she was born, and saw clearly the face that had given birth to this girl,” she said in a mocking tone and stroked Alyx's hair slowly. But, how shocked Max was when someone held his wrist firmly. He's trying to let go.
Alyx had completely opened his eyes. His black eyes, like shining, looked at Max. “Don't touch me,” said Alyx and threw Max's hand. Alyx's gaze was then fixed on the man standing beside Max.
“Wah, wow, it seems like a very moving meeting.”
“You talk too much,” said Alyx who had gotten up from the chair.
“You should be more polite to me, Miss.”
“Yes, if you were polite before me.”
William held onto Alyx who was slightly dazed as he stood up. Tom approached and helped to clean it up. They stepped up slowly—away from Max.
“You must ask about your birth,” cried Max to Alexandra. “You are certainly curious about your mother..” Max smiled cynically.
William thinks of the man who might have supported Max. “Someone who's behind you, Max.” He was just about to enter the code, but the door was already open.
“Ah,” Max almost jumped in excitement. “Duchess of SOS,” said and slightly bowed.
*
The SOS leader opened the door of the investigation room and found that some of the people who were about to come out took a step back and saluted him. Jane and Tom swipe left and make way for the leader after Max shouts in excitement.
SOS—Abel leader Adalbrechta Russell, currently forty-two years old, though so there is no sign
the visible aging on his face. Her face oval—thorned thin powder, nose pointed, her lips polished red lipstick—forms a smile that is so charming. Seeing him like he was a breath of life like his name Abel.
His eyes are round with white eyeballs and clear black lenses. His gaze was so shady. Those eyes
moving to the right and to the left—looks at its citizens one by one. He knows Tom and Jane.
Then his gaze stopped on a man he often met in the SOS office who was memapah
a gal.
“That's a coincidence,” said his nephew and walked over. “Maybe better, I introduce to you, Adalbrechta—daughter of Sir William who has just returned to his hometown, although we don't know the truth because when I asked about his mother who is also an SOS citizen, he was the same
not knowing at all. I was going to check the truth but his father was coming,” explained Max at length.
Abel was silent some jokes.
“We will go now, Adalbrechta,” William said and passed away.
Alyx looked up for a while and lowered his arms back accidentally nudged Abel who was just speechless—t feel that reluctance bothers him. The four men have left. Max's bodyguards also came out after being asked.
“What important thing did you say, Adney?” abel's voice sounded low, pitched.
“I've shown it to you. Are you touched?” ask her while sitting on the chair. She didn't
look at his aunt's face. “You understand what I mean, of course. The higher-ups will know it soon.”
Abel was silent.
“You didn't ask me not to do it? We can do negotiation.”
“I don't know what you want, Adney.”
“Do not like that. Rumors that say you will soon resign have been widespread.”
“You did it?” abel sela.
Max did not reply, but it was clear from his expression that he had done it. “You just need to say
to the higher-ups if you resign and appoint me as your replacement. Don't you have no descendants? People know you're not married, right?”
Abel's face looked very calm. He has led SOS since he was twenty-two years old and has had many
the kind of people he met. But, to him the one who acted so impolite was the one who was now standing before him.
“Then what will you do if I do not comply with your wishes, my nephew?” Abel thought his nephew's attitude was more overflowing than his cousin who was Max's father.
Max gasped as the challenge came before him. “Then your secret will be spread, aunty.”
“You're more careless than your father. You don't know what's gonna happen when you do something stupid like that? Of course not, Adney, but I, everything is as clear as you standing in front of me. Excuse me, niece, I have left my duty and come to this place when you say this is very important. And finally I just found an obscure joke like this.” Abel turned. The door opened as if it knew Abel was coming out.
“You will regret your actions,” shouted Max who Abel could still hear before the door closed.
Abel walked down the hallway. Two people followed him in the back.
A man from the opposite direction bowed— saluted and walked in the direction from which Abel came out. Him
push a few buttons and the door opens. Watching Max who was so furious that he threw things in front of him.
“Darrel,” Max aware of the man's arrival.
“What's up, my friend?” asked Darrel, a handsome-looking man who is very clever at taking someone's heart. He's a very polite guy, which has endeared him to a lot of people, and sometimes they tell all their problems very smoothly to Darrel.
“He thinks all this is a joke,” Max laughs cynically. “I thought he'd be scared and asked me to stop. But he
even bluffing me.”
“He's Your Majesty, my best friend—he even knew that I would come to see you. Or we'll go together somewhere.”
Max finally breathes out, remembering Abel's ability.
“But there's nothing to be afraid of. Go home and rest— late. And I'll tell you
something that will make you happy.”
“What is it?”
“But have you done what I told you, Adney.”
“Taking his chip. Sure do. The only chip that turns out to be just placed on his ring finger, so it's very easy
pick it.”
“Ah,” exciting Darrel for a moment. “There's a little misunderstanding going on between us. But, of course, soon you'll fix.”
Max looked at Darrel. “I was wrong? Isn't that the chip you're talking about.”
“It can indeed make others—even Your Majesty will not be able to laugh at what you will do.”
“Ah, that's what I need, Darrel. He won't know, will he?”
“True. Use that too. But there are others, friends— like we have, or more than we have. Belonging to His Majesty who seems to be moving soon. It's just that, as I thought, he hasn't given it. We'll wait, Max.”
Max silent.
