Chapters 108. United To Fight.
After traveling for 5 hours, Ryder finally reached the place where the father was. Of course he got the address of the house from Rolan, but his papa also did not know about his arrival.
Ryder immediately got out of the car and set foot to get inside the house, but one of the men there confronted her.
"Who are you? Why you-"
"Surge!" cut Ryder quickly. "I'm Eric's son, so get out of my way right now." He spoke with great emphasis, coupled with a sharp gaze drawn towards the man.
The man looked surprised when he heard Ryder's words, as did everyone in the place.
One of Eric's men tells him Ryder is his master's son, so let him in to see Eric.
Ryder then set foot again to enter the house, but if not allowed he will barge in by destroying them all.
Meanwhile, Eric and Vano are meeting with the leader of a mafia group that used to be Mr. Eric, even he becomes one of the right hands of the man.
"It's good to hear from you again, Eric," Caldo said.
Eric nodded his head. His relationship with Caldo is inversely proportional to River and Luke. He came out well, even Caldo himself ordered him to quit the group because he had to focus on family.
"Sorry to bother you, sir. I'm also glad to see you," Eric replies with a bow of reluctance, allowing Vano to see how obedient Eric is to the man.
"It's okay, I know you guys will definitely call me" Caldo said, patting Eric on the shoulder.
Caldo has heard from his men that Luke is acting out for hunting down the former male assistant first, even intending to destroy a large company.
"It looks like Luke has lost his mind since parting ways with River, his madness is getting out of control" Caldo said, leaving Vano and Eric staring intently.
Caldo later said that he knew what Luke was doing, even knowing that the madman was forming an army against the government.
"My group was smaller than him who almost controlled mainland Italy, and spread to my territory. But it does not rule out the possibility if we can beat him," explained Caldo. He himself also has a personal grudge against Luke, because the man has left his sister dead.
"Sorry, Sir. But I'm still confused why Luke is so obsessed with River, when all this time he has done nothing" said Vano confused.
Caldo smiled when he heard it. "Not not acting anything, but what he's doing is being successfully fought by River, that's why he's targeting you."
Vano felt even more confused when he heard it, as well as Eric who did not know why Luke got like that chasing River.
"Luke loves River,"
"What?" Strangling Vano and Eric simultaneously, they looked at Caldo with shocked and incredulous gazes. Isn't Luke a man?
"Ryder?" eric and Vano said simultaneously, they felt shocked to see the existence of the man in this place. "What are you doing here?" Eric asked as he moved from the chair.
Ryder steps into the room, nodding her head at Vano and Caldo.
"I want to see papa," Ryder replied quickly making Eric stare in surprise.
Vano himself was surprised when he saw Ryder's arrival, especially when he saw the bandage in the head of the man. However, she instantly recalled what happened to Yara and made her become annoyed.
"Your son is an adult, Eric. He's just as handsome as you are" Caldo said. He got out of his chair and approached Ryder. "You want me to match up with my daughter?"
Everyone gasped in shock upon hearing Caldo's words, especially Ryder who immediately shook her head.
"No need, Sir. Thank ye. I already have a woman I love, and I'm waiting in the village" Ryder refused without thinking, who would want to be betrothed?
Caldo immediately chuckled upon hearing that, while Vano felt surprised by what Ryder said.
"The village? Has he met Yara?" Vano began to guess. Ryder's whereabouts have been shocking, perhaps the man is deliberately chasing his daughter.
"Here you go, we'll discuss the matter of your arrival later. Now there are more important things than this" Eric said. He then invited Ryder to sit down. Most likely his son came because he knew about what was going on, and it must have been Rolan who told him.
Vano also rules out Ryder's arrival and asks Caldo to tell him what really happened to River, and Caldo tells him that Luke is a rainbow.
Everyone didn't believe what Caldo said. They were shocked to hear that Luke really loved River, and it was inconceivable what the man had done to anger River.
"I heard he threatened the life of the woman River liked, and then forced River to serve him."
Brakes.
Vano directly hit the table before him in wrath, making everyone gasp. His blood boiled when he heard what had happened to River, it was fitting that until now the man would not marry like he had a huge trauma.
"I will definitely avenge that biad*ab man with my own two hands."
