Aidan gasped in surprise when he heard the words coming out of Yara's mouth. Suddenly he immediately rested on the woman's legs making Yara gasp.
"No, Honey. Please don't do that."
Aidan's crying. Yes, he wept to mourn all he had done until the word parted out of his wife's mouth.
"I'm a khilaf, honey. I'm khilaf, please forgive me."
Yara fell silent because she was no longer able to say the words. All this time she fought hard to maintain her household, but all the struggle was in vain because it turned out that her husband had played love with another woman.
"I promise I won't do it again, Yara. I promise I won't hurt you again."
Yara is getting sobbing. A promise? What kind of promise is Aidan making right now? Can his promise close the wound in his heart?
"The promises you make before God alone are not kept, Mas. Then, how can you keep this promise you made?"
Aidan raised his head and looked at Yara softly. "Please give me a chance to fix everything, Yara. I was wrong, I hurt your heart. I, I'm really sorry."
Yara shook her head. Regrets were definitely there, even he himself also regretted having fought to this extent but was in fact not appreciated.
"You know Mas, you not only hurt my heart, but you hurt the love I had. You hurt the trust I put in you, even hurt my pride as your wife."
Aidan was speechless as he could not refute what Yara was saying. If he were in that woman's position, he would definitely feel the same way.
"You destroyed the household that we have been struggling to maintain, even I fought hard to keep our household afloat despite the many obstacles and obstacles. But it turns out I was wrong, I was wrong to fight for someone who was struggling with someone else,"
"No, Yara. I didn't mean it that way, I, I just-"
"Every night you're with another woman for hours. You're just the two of you in the apartment, and, and-"
Yara could not continue her words because her tongue could not tell what had happened to them.
An adult man is alone with an adult woman at night, even in the early hours of the morning. Then, what are they doing? It was impossible for them to just sit quietly in the apartment, imagining it just made Yara's wounds even more gaping.
"Come, Mas. I need some time alone" Yara said later. She was no longer able to look at her husband's face, which seemed to continue to scratch his heart.
"No, Yara. I beg you to forgive me."
Aidan squirms at Yara's feet while continuing to apologize. He was truly sorry, deeply regretful for being blinded by his momentary lust.
Yara wakes up and asks Aidan to come out. He pointed towards the door with tears flowing more and more, making the man forced out of the room.
Brakes.
Yara closed the door of the room and did not forget to lock it. Then his body slumped to the floor just like that because it really felt weak and could not stand it.
"Astgahfirullahal'adzim."
Several times Yara took a stand to calm her volatile heart. Tonight his love is broken, his household is in disarray. Even all the feelings that he had always offered to his beloved husband were lost.
Throughout the night Yara could only cry lamenting what had happened. It seems like tonight both eyes are reluctant to be closed, let alone having to scabbed wounds and bathed in tears.
"Where have you been, Zaf?"
Zafran's steps came to a halt when he heard someone's baritone voice. He turned around and saw his father sitting on the sofa.
He glanced at the clock hanging on the wall, and it was already 10 p.m. His father asked, because he had not been home since morning.
Seeing his son silent, Vano moved from the sofa to approach Zafran. His eyes stared intently at the hand of the man who was currently wrapped in bandages.
"Why haven't you slept?"
Vano frowned when he heard Zafran's words, making him suspicious because it was not usual for the son to ask him such a thing.
"You've been fighting, Zaf?"
Zafran directly punched his hand behind the body when he heard the papa's question. "No. Where might I fight."
Vano looked at his son suspiciously. If not fighting, then what? His mind wondered what else was with the wound that was on the back of the hand. Obviously it was because of hitting someone.
Zafran himself was deep in thought. Should she tell him about what her brother went through to the father? But, what about Yara later? Her brother would have told her his own problems with both of their parents.
"Why are you quiet, Zafran? Did you beat up people's kids?"
Zafran gasped as his papa guess was on target, and of course his papa was staring intently with suspicion and big question marks.
"I did beat up somebody, Pa,"
"really? Then, is he still safe?"
Zafran. There was no way she could have taken Aidan's life and caused his sister to suffer, although what Yara was feeling right now might have been much more painful than death.
"Why not angry?" ask Zafran then.
Vano shook his head then patted the son on the shoulder. "For whatever angry papa is, you've grown up and can tell what's wrong and right. But, it would be nice if you don't use violence. Because you could've wiped out people's lives later."
Zafran nodded in understanding. However, he was sure that his papa would instantly obliterate Aidan's life when he found out what had happened to Yara.
"Now rest. Come with papa to the company tomorrow."
Vano again patted Zafran on the shoulder and was about to pass into his room. "Oh yes, tomorrow papa will ask Aidan to come also representing Yara. Maybe-"
"No, don't do it, Pa."
