The Dragon Lord System

The Dragon Lord System
DLS - 105

Hearing the call of the "obscene lizard" constantly makes Calliga even more upset.

"Can you stop calling me 'Cabul', Lithos?" he said in a slightly high voice and full of emotion.

Suddenly, Lithos looked surprised that the dragon in front of him knew of his name. He had lived in a dungeon for thousands of years as a dungeon boss on the 50th floor.

During that time, no one managed to reach that level and defeat him. However, this time, a powerful lizard had managed to reach its guarded place for thousands of years.

There was only one other person who actually knew Lithos' real name, but that person had long gone and left him.

For Lithos, this was an incredible moment because he had lived in seclusion for so long.

"Lithus? How do you know my name?! And what's your name? Do you know me?" Lithos asked with a puzzled expression shown by the question mark in his eyes.

Calliga also felt confused and muttered inwardly, thinking that usually everyone could see the status of someone else's name.

However, he knew about Lithos' name from the status of the hologram above Lithos' head.

Does this mean that only he can see it? His mind is getting deeper.

Connecting several dots, Calliga begins to conclude that she may be the only one who can see her own status and the status of boss.

A pretty strange conclusion, but it makes sense in a world governed by the mechanics of this world called the "system".

However, as Lithos continues to ask about the origins of Calliga's knowledge of her name, Calliga decides to just ignore her.

"Hey, answer! How do you know my name?" Lithos.

Lithos kept asking, "Do you know of anyone?"

But Calliga, with a strangely confused expression, chose to remain silent and give no answer.

Instantly, Lithos firmly held Calliga's shoulders and swayed her aggressively, as if wanting to shake the answer from within the dragon.

"Answer! Did someone tell you about me? Does she have blue hair and blue eyes?" lithos said with high intensity, while shaking Calliga's body aggressively.

Calliga's body felt like it was about to vomit from the loud wobble, so he quickly agreed to Lithos' questions with a choking voice, only for the torture of the wobble to stop.

"Stop! Just stop! Yep! He was the one who told me about you!" calliga replied in a hasty tone.

Getting the answer he was looking for, Lithos stopped shaking and released his grip on Calliga's shoulder.

He was satisfied with this discovery and did not continue further torment.

"So you know about me from Merrli!" lithos said with great satisfaction, while stopping his movements.

Calliga could only nod as a sign of his agreement.

However, in his confusion, he finally decided not to think too much about it.

"Merrily? Who her? Ah, it doesn't matter, the important thing is that I don't feel nauseous anymore" Calliga murmured in her heart.

Lithos looked at Calliga with a sharp expression, an expression that contained dissatisfaction.

"Why didn't you tell me in the first place that you knew me? If you tell me from the beginning when we meet, I won't attack you, damn it!" lithos said in a stern tone, still upset over the unnecessary fight.

Calliga was wide-eyed, feeling pressured by Lithos' sharp gaze. He hurriedly looked for the right answer, biting his lips in an attempt to find a balanced answer between honesty and reason.

If only you could have been better off being nice to me earlier." Calliga gave a rather evasive excuse, trying to assert that he was actually trying to keep his cool.

Lithos pondered for a moment, and seemed to understand Calliga's point of view.

"Ah, you're right too. I'm sorry, I should have calmed down. If Merrli told you about me, he must be your best friend. Well then, how's Merrli doing now and where is he?" lithos asked enthusiastically, until his crystal cheeks seemed to be flushed with excitement.

Calliga shook her head and replied sincerely, though not completely honest, to make it look convincing, "Where I know, I haven't seen her in a long time."

At that time, Lithos again looked grim and disappointed.

Merrli, the figure he had been waiting for and looking forward to for a long time, was still an unsolved mystery.

This sense of disappointment was felt in his lethargic crystal expression.

"...Thousands of years have passed I waited for him here, but he did not return as he promised." said Lithos in a gloomy tone, slumped on the floor reflecting his disappointment.

Calliga, who was standing nearby, looked at Lithos who was lying down with an expression full of disappointment.

He thought of the possibility that Merrli was someone who had a deeper relationship with Lithos, perhaps a lover or person who meant something to him.

Calliga could not help but a small smile in her heart as she looked at Lithos who was a victim of PHP (False Hope Giver).

However, after a while, sympathy took over. Calliga felt sorry to see such deep disappointment in Lithos' eyes.

Although impressed earlier was happy to see Lithos trapped in false expectations, but now he felt the need to entertain him.

"Alright, you can come with me," Calliga said in a soft tone, trying to encourage Lithos who looked devastated.

Not only entertaining, Calliga may also feel that the presence of Lithos can be a valuable asset or even just a new friend in his loneliness in his dungeon home.

Lithos looked at Calliga, and in the sight of this dragon, he could see the expression on Lithos' crystal face that was washed away in grief.

His alternating crystal-shaped droplets fell from his eyes, then slowly absorbed back into him.

Calliga felt amazed and moved, it turned out that Lithos was not only a cold entity made of crystal, but also had deep feelings.

"Eh? She's really crying?" muttered Calliga, staring intently at the crystal face of Lithos.

The pity he felt deepened as Lithos began to speak.

He held Lithos' shoulder gently, trying to give her a little strength and vigor.

"There are still better options than him" Calliga said, trying to cheer Lithos up.

But Lithos could only reply sadly, "But... You're... Don't know... How much I love him... He is everything to me..."

It was clearly heard that Lithos was feeling a deep sorrow that was difficult to express.

Calliga felt as if she had entered into a drama full of intrigue and feelings.

He becomes convinced that Lithos is the victim of PHP from a woman named Merrli.

Calliga tried again to calm Lithos down, "Have it, don't be sad anymore. Look, you've waited thousands of years in a quiet place like this. Surely, you're lonely. You seem to need a friend to cheer you up, come with me from now on"
