S2 - Towards the Forest of Death
On the border between the Elysian Forest and the Elysian Mine, there is an area widely known as the Death Limit. This boundary separated between the Elysian Forest filled with ferocious monsters and the mine where humans mined magic stones were easily visible.
"Ah, I can see the watch fortress," Viona said as she pointed to a fortress seen in front of them.
The fortress was built solely to keep an eye on the ferocious monsters around the Elysian Forest. The same place also reported increased sightings of many small beetles scattered in the region.
"Well, it's time we passed the fort. Are you ready?" rio said to his five friends with passion.
"Are you sure, Rio? We're allowed to pass through this fort?" alex asked Rio with a hint of hesitation.
"Of course, one of the soldiers there is even my subordinate who often trains with me, they already know of our arrival. I already told him a few days ago, so just relax," Rio replied confidently to Alex.
"All right, I believe you, man," Alex muttered with conviction.
The six of them stepped through the fortress steadily. While inside the fortress, before continuing on to the Elysian Forest, one of the soldiers respectfully greeted Rio.
"Good morning, Captain! Wishing you a successful and safe journey!" the soldier said with great enthusiasm. However, the reaction of the other soldiers seemed indifferent, not caring too much about Rio's departure.
Quickly, Rio replied with a warm smile, "HAHAHA, of course, boy! Next time we train even harder!"
The soldier who gave the greeting was silent for a moment and gulped at the words of their captain, Rio. He knew very well that the training Rio was doing was insane and brutal. However, without hesitation, he replied excitedly, "Okay, Captain!"
After crossing the defensive fort, Rio and his five party members waved as a farewell sign to one of the soldiers who respected him.
Their journey to the Elysian Forest went smoothly, and after walking for 5 minutes, they managed to reach the region without experiencing any problems.
Nothing special happened as they set foot in the Elysian Forest, except for the more concentrated air and the dark atmosphere.
"Thank God, we are still safe" Alex said, looking at the five members of his team with relief.
"Hahaha, of course we're safe, Alex. Are you feeling scared?" the black-haired woman's tease, Viona, while smiling cunningly.
"No! I'm not scared!" alex replies quickly, trying to hide his true feelings.
"Eh, but it feels like there is something strange in this place," the Elf woman said with a suspicious look. "I can feel a dark and mysterious aura around us."
"Don't worry too much. We already know that the Elysian Forest is a dangerous place" said one of the other members, trying to calm the situation.
"Hmm, this Confined Mission will be easier, because our Team is as complete as it used to be, right?" said one party member.
"Don't be too happy just yet, my old comrade," Rio said in seriousness, while giving a bracelet that had some kind of diamond in the middle to his five party members. The diamond looks expensive and luxurious.
"Eh, why did you give us this expensive bracelet?" viona asked curiously, looking at the bracelet attentively.
"With this bracelet, we can track each other's positions. So, if something is separated or in a danger situation, we can quickly find out its whereabouts and provide help," explained Rio with a wide smile.
After hearing the explanation from Rio about the "Silence Step" bracelet that was equipped with expensive magic stones.
"Oh, what a comfort. I didn't know there was anything like this" said a surprised Alex, wearing the bracelet carefully. All the other members were also no less surprised and watched enthusiastically.
"So, we can avoid the ferocious monsters and also increase our HP and defense with this bracelet?" viona asked curiously.
"Yes, that's what I said earlier," Rio replied with a satisfied smile seeing the reaction of his friends.
"This bracelet is absolutely amazing! It must be very valuable" said one of the other members enthusiastically.
The Elf-named woman looked in disbelief as Rio allowed all of them to wear the bracelet. With a surprised look, he held the bracelet in his hand and checked closely.
"Not to worry, Lara. You all have the right to use it. I intend to give it as a gift as my thanks because you have followed this selfish request," Rio said sincerely, bowing respectfully to his five party members.
"EEEEEHHHH ??!!!!" Said the five party members in surprise. They were completely in disbelief when Rio gave the expensive bracelet to them as a gift.
"Alright, then I will keep it well," said the Elf woman named, Lara, smiling happily.
"At least I got something interesting from this dangerous mission, haha," said one of the other members with a happy smile.
Alex just nodded his head in gratitude to Rio, their old friend, while shaking hands warmly.
Viona, with a face full of curiosity, asked in a skeptical tone to Rio, "By the way, why do you have so many of these expensive bracelets? Did you steal this fancy bracelet in the royal palace secretly? Hmm, or maybe you have an affair with King Theovilus? And, do you know how expensive these bracelets are?" while looking at Rio with a bombastic side eye gaze.
Rio was surprised to hear the question, and he frantically replied, "Eeh? No, it's not like that, Viona! Don't get me wrong, King Theovilus gave me a lot of these bracelets because he thought a lot of bastard noble knights would come with me!" Rio tried to explain seriously.
"Hmmm, alright, I believe you, RIO!" viona said while laughing mocking Rio.
The other five party members joined in laughter, enjoying that moment of silliness.
"Well then that's enough, I'll teach you how to activate this bracelet" Rio told his friend.
Suddenly, Viona said in a spoiled tone, "Well then, come and teach me, Rio," she said teasingly.
"Hmmm, then, do you want me to help you make your chest bigger?" rio replied jokingly, teasing Viona.
Hearing this, Viona's face flushed red and she quickly gave a merciless kick to Faces, Rio.
