I, pretending to be serious, explored a large board filled with adventurer mission lists.
While Sebas continued to work filling out the registration form quickly, I pretended to be very serious about checking the mission board, despite actually not understanding anything from his writing.
However, suddenly someone approached and asked for permission to speak timidly, "Excuse me, and apologize for interrupting, knight lord. May I speak to you, formidable knight sir?"
I, who was pretending to read seriously, suddenly heard someone calling me "master of tough knights."
I turned towards the voice and saw a young adventurer who seemed to be in his twenties.
I immediately turned left and right to confirm that I was the person in question, but the adventurer confidently repeated that he was the one who called me "master of knights."
It's a shame to be called by such a strange nickname! I couldn't feel more awkward.
Before I could answer his request, Sebas suddenly approached and told me that the registration form had been completed by him and the three of us had to confirm the data immediately.
I turned away from the young man and told him that I would be back soon and not have to worry.
Sebas just kept looking at me, with his sharp gaze as if analyzing my movements.
After coming out of a pretty awkward moment with Sebas always watching me, we moved towards the female receptionist.
He gave us a necklace, explaining that it was the identifying mark of our three adventurers, and the necklace also signified our rank, which was originally bronze rank.
The necklace is bronze, according to our low rank.
The receptionist woman explained the adventurous work, which was mission, to us.
He explained that if we manage to complete some missions well, our performance will be judged, and we have a chance to move up the ranks to be higher.
Sebas listened attentively, while I tried to stay serious even though my heart was merry.
We have finally officially become adventurers, and our new adventure begins.
The receptionist lady pointed towards the mission board where I was previously standing, telling us that it was a place where we could see and work on missions according to our ratings as beginners.
He explained that each mission we complete will provide rewards according to the difficulty level of the mission.
And by then the receptionist had finished explaining and she softly said to us.
"Thank you for signing up as an adventurer and may the days of master, sebas, Tian and Marrlo be fun!" he said softly to the three of us.
Then, he rushed off to help the adventurers who were asking him.
I was confused when the receptionist lady mentioned those names, "Sebas, Tian, and Marrlo?" my flippancy makes me sound weird.
Sebas immediately explained by telepathy, "Dad, that is a false pseudonym. Father is Sebas, I am Tian, and Marrlo is the pseudonym of the creature." He turned his head towards Lithos, who seemed to be immersed in his thoughts and did not hear our conversation.
Sebas continued, "i used my father's pseudonym as Sebas, and my pseudonym was Tian. I'm sorry, dad, if I use my name as your pseudonym." He spoke sincerely through telepathy.
I pondered for a moment about the use of this pseudonym.
"He filled my pseudonym with his real name? Strange," I murmured in my heart.
"But at least he's filled out my form. Hehe. Wait, but wouldn't it be in the human environment, my calling would be Sebas from now on?" I look confused.
Then, I gave my answer to Sebas.
"Ah, no need to worry, Sebas. I don't have a problem with that. Let it not be confusing and to keep our identity safe, from now on we must play a role in calling our pseudonyms. I'll call you Tian from now on" I said steadily.
Meanwhile, I was still pondering about the pseudonym Lithos was going to use, which was "Marrlo."
From his name alone, I can already guess that he used a pseudonym similar to the woman he loved, which was "Merrli."
The mission of the three of us is to complete adventure tasks and improve our rankings.
Although I actually wanted to explore this human world alone as an adventurer, without Sebas and Lithos, I finally realized how precious their presence was.
Sebas, with his knowledge of the human city, turned out to be very useful.
I walked back towards the mission board, pretending to read, with Sebas and Lithos following behind.
Although I pretended to be serious, in my heart I felt quite relieved to have both of them beside me.
Who knows, they will be valuable assets in this adventure, I thought with a small smile.
I quietly observed Sebas and Lithos, who seemed to be just waiting for me to choose a mission.
They probably thought I, as their leader, would make the decision.
However, actually, I have absolutely no idea what is on the sheets that adorn this mission board.
Sebas, with a peculiar curiosity to her, asked me, "Dad, what mission do you want to do first of all?" He looked at me with a curious expression.
I smiled faintly, although I was actually a little confused.
I pretended to read the writings on this mission board, even though I could not read them at all.
Only numbers and images appear familiar, while the rest are unfamiliar symbols.
I was thinking hard, trying to find something that seemed like we could do.
In a panic, I carelessly chose a mission sheet from the board, without really understanding it.
I tried to keep my confidence in front of Sebas and Lithos, but in my heart, confusion lingered.
As soon as I picked up the sheet, I approached the female receptionist's desk with my head held high, trying to show some firmness in this choice.
I placed the mission sheet on the table and said to the woman, "We're going to carry out this mission."
The receptionist lady, who seemed worried about my choice, tried to give me an understanding of the difficulty level of the mission I was carrying.
"But Mr. Sebas, this is a very dangerous mission that only a high rank, namely Master, is allowed to work on" he said in a worried tone to me who called me by my pseudonym "sebas".
I could only reply with a confident smile, even though I had absolutely no idea what was written on the mission sheet.
"Don't worry, miss. I'm pretty sure that I can finish it easily."
Actually, I just took the mission sheet carelessly off the board without really understanding it.
But I had to keep my image as a leader and not let them feel I was doubtful or confused.
The receptionist lady looked worried as she told me that I was not allowed to work on high-level missions because my rank was still low, only bronze.
The reason was to keep me safe, and the woman wasn't sure I could finish it.
However, Sebas who was beside me could not control his anger.
Strictly speaking, he clasped the reception desk, producing a loud sound that caught the attention of all the adventurers there.
The receptionist looked terrified at Sebas' angry reaction.
In a stern and threatening tone, Sebas asked, "Did you underestimate my father?" makes the receptionist more anxious.
There were whispers and sharp glances from the adventurers who witnessed this scene.
