...***Somewhere*** ...

In the darkness that enveloped the dark room, the shrill voice of a woman could be heard filling the air.

The woman tried tenaciously to break away from the handcuffs that tied her hands. However, his efforts were in vain and he was laughed at by a man who stood as a guard in a place that resembled a defensive cell.

The man's laughter echoed between the cold walls of the room, reflecting pride and satisfaction over the situation.

However, a purple-robed priest known as Rufus approached quietly.

"Evelyn, it's a waste. You better take a break. I'm worried about your gynecological condition" said the priest, wearing a thick purple robe called Rufus in a soft voice, trying to calm the woman trying to escape the cell.

Inside the gloomy and cold cell, Evelyn was sitting limp on the floor with a crickets voice that sounded faintly from a distance.

Listening to Rufus' advice, the woman absorbed the wise words she spoke. In the darkness, he stroked his growing belly, as if sending a message to the fetus inside.

His hoarse voice crept softly in the air as he spoke, "Excuse me mother, my son. I hope your father can find us all."

Tears slowly rolled down her delicate cheeks, creating a shimmering trace in the darkness.

The laughing of the cell guard men echoed in the room, like a shitty music to Evelyn who was trying to cope.

His eyes were blazing with anger when he heard the heartless ridicule from them.

"Don't expect you to get out of this place, you cheap fat lady! HAHAHAHA!" teasing one of them in a condescending tone.

Not to be outdone, the other men also laughed out loud, describing how much fun they were to demean helpless victims.

However, in the dark corner of the cell covered by the shadows, Rufus, the priest, responded with pent-up anger.

"God Artemis will avenge your evil deeds!" he exclaimed resolutely, trying to maintain a belief in justice.

Their laughter grew louder, as if making fun of Rufus' beliefs.

"You said evil deeds? We've been doing this for a long time but we're still fine. Ah, it looks like the 'god' you call is fake and not real!" reply one of them cynically.

The tension in the cell is growing. Rufus emotionally called them

"you are truly savage humans" in a voice that was clearly heard amidst the rumbling of their laughter.

However, the atmosphere that had been chaotic suddenly underwent a dramatic change as the sound of agonizing screams tore through the dark air within that cell.

Evelyn, who was previously restrained and anxious, suddenly felt a piercing pain from within.

His loud screams created a shocking peace, as if the entire room was silent within four soft walls.

"Ahh..sick.." shaking it, while stroking its huge belly that seemed to quiver itself.

The content seemed to signal in an unexpected way, causing an inevitable boost.

Hearing her screams, Rufus, the priest, felt panicked. He rushed towards Evelyn who was drooping on the floor with an anxious look.

Rufus quickly forgets their dispute with the cell guard men and focuses entirely on Evelyn's health and safety.

The situation grew tense as Evelyn's screams of pain echoed in the dark cell.

The two guard men, who had previously mocked and sneered, were now troubled by the voice.

They shouted for Evelyn to shut up, trying to quell the growing noise between the cell walls.

"YOU'RE A CHEAP WOMAN!" His shouting.

However, in the midst of her suffering, unbearable pain continued to haunt Evelyn's stomach.

He could not resist the screams, even though the order to be silent had been echoed many times.

The shackling pain made his voice resound, infiltrating into the silence that had once existed.

The two guard men, frustrated by the situation, finally decided to open the cell door.

With a rough step, they approached Evelyn who was clamoring on the floor.

In a moment of helplessness, one of them suddenly slapped Evelyn hard.

The slap!

The sound of the slap was shrill in the dark room, creating a tense silence.

All the anxiety and suffering Evelyn felt was reflected in her screams.

Rufus wanted to defend evelyn and at once with the unexpected force of the man, who pushed her so hard that she fell.

Really, the man was much stronger than Rufus thought. While Rufus was in pain and staggered, the man turned his attention to Evelyn who was crying and felt pain in her cheek that was flushed from the brutal slap.

"I told you before to shut up, didn't I? Do I need to kick that thing in your stomach?" the man said in an annoyed tone, his eyes emitting a real threat.

She felt her stomach still hurting and wanted to scream, but her greater fear was for her safety.

Evelyn tried hard to endure her pain and fear, even though her stomach felt like it was burning with fire.

The man who slapped him earlier entered the cell back out of the cell and locked the door, keeping the two of them in the darkness that enveloped the cell.

Rufus, with a worried heart, approached Evelyn quickly.

He tried to calm the woman down, seeing how much pain and fear she felt.

Quickly, he activated his healing abilities and positioned his hand towards Evelyn's swollen bruised cheek.

"Yes, holy light, gather, and heal this woman, holy god, [Light Heal]!" he shouts while releasing his healing magic.

A gentle light emanated from Rufus' hand and enveloped Evelyn's face.

The pain in his cheek subsided slowly, and the swelling began to fade.

Although this magic only had a limited healing effect, it provided a hint of comfort and hope in this gloomy state.

Evelyn felt a little relieved as the pain in her cheek began to subside, although it still felt annoying.

Tears welled up on his cheeks as he looked at Rufus with deep gratitude.

"Thank you, Mr. Rufus." Evelyn muttered in a soft voice, a faint smile etched on her face that was still blushing.

Rufus nodded understandingly, but curiosity could not be held back.

"After all, what did your husband do that they arrested and detained us both here?" he asked with a clear question mark expression radiating from his face.

Evelyn shook her head sadly.

"I don't know, Mr. Rufus. But it looks like they've kidnapped us as a threat, maybe so that my husband doesn't rebel against someone with high power."

There was nothing they could do but speculate in this situation that was filled with uncertainty.

In darkness and uncertainty, Evelyn and Rufus held hands, clutching their necklaces as a sign of their belief in the God Artemis.

In an anxious atmosphere, their voices gathered together to plead for help from the god they worshipped.

"Oh, God of Artemis, we ask You, the great god, to free us from this terrible place" Rufus said in a heartfelt voice, leading their prayers of hope and trust.

Although the pain and fear were still felt in their hearts, they prayed with great hope that help would come to their fetch.

Evelyn, despite continuing to feel pain and discomfort, joined the prayer with a subtle cry.

She hopes her husband, Rio, soon finds a clue about their whereabouts and comes to the rescue.

Somehow, the pain that had originally enveloped Evelyn's stomach slowly subsided and disappeared.

Their prayers may provide unexpected warmth amid uncertainty.

After praying expectantly, the evelyn and rufus ended their prayers.

Evelyn's tired face began to emit signs of fatigue, and eventually the pain and tension that she felt dimmed.

In his exhaustion, his eyes closed, and sleep crept near him.

The inevitable physical and mental exhaustion eventually led him to deep sleep.

However, Rufus saw Evelyn shivering in her sleep, apparently from the cold, dirty floor.

Rufus' heart was filled to see the condition of the large pregnant woman lying before him. With quick action, Rufus gave Evelyn the order to wait for a while.

Not hesitating, Rufus took off his warm thick robe and gave it to Evelyn.

With a warm heart, Evelyn put on the robe.

Slowly, the coldness that was entangling him began to fade, replaced by the warmth given by the thick robe he was wearing.

Finally, in the warm embrace of the robe, Evelyn fell asleep soundly, calmly, and warmly.

Under such difficult circumstances, even Rufus who was a priest who had magical protection, felt a bone-chilling chill in the thin cloth armor attached to his body.

With no other choice, she decided to lie down next to Evelyn, on the hostile floor, in search of a hint of warmth.

Rufus felt a deep exhaustion and felt like he was ambushing so quickly.

However, before his eyes closed in sleep, he could not help but speak in a hopeful prayer, "Oh gods, help us."

Finally, in the silence created in the dark and dirty cell, the two men fell asleep.

Perhaps in their sleep, they can find a bit of calmness in a gripping situation.
