The Dungeon Master's
Chapter 13 - Hunt 3

The Alpa mountain. Barren land, and many former mines. Some of them are my former mines while others may belong to NPCs or other players.

The journey to get to the foot of these mountains takes about 8 hours drive. The thing that makes this trip long is because the distance is quite far and the road is bad. Players must traverse through swamps and dense forests to get to the foot of the Alpa mountains.

Although the road was quiet with no players or NPCs, there were still some weak monsters blocking it. Well, with my current strength, it's no big deal.

Night has come in this game. Although players did not need sleep in this world, there were still flaws.

The first darkness that appears is not play. Very dark. Since players were used to living in an advanced world where humans managed to defeat darkness completely, the darkness in this virtual world was quite terrifying.

In addition to darkness, monsters became more active and more made hunting more difficult and riskier. For players who attach great importance to their rank, level and inventory, playing in the dark is very risky.

In addition to being able to lower levels, death also has the opportunity to drop items and money in the player's inventory.

Therefore, most players choose to relax in the village or urban during the night in the game world. Players can also choose to sleep in this world to speed up the passage of time. It feels like real sleep, even though the bodies in the real world are not so affected.

Until I finally arrived at the foot of the Alps, through a terrible night alone.

'I came back here....'

Honestly, I'm still a little afraid of the minotaur's existence. Could it be that he will come out of the mountains and chase me outside? Just thinking about it makes me cringe.

I then searched for a convenient hunting location. The monster here is the kobold. A kind of wolf that stood on both legs and used combat equipment like goblins. They were faster and stronger than goblins.

Estimated their level? Kobold levels range from levels 25 to 35. There was even a Field Boss around this place. How would I know? Of course it's because I've been repeatedly killed by that damn boss.

The Boss here is an Elder Kobold that has a body size 2 times larger than an ordinary kobold. His level was at a pretty terrible number of 42. Well, after seeing the horror of the minotaur, the kobold elder seemed much weaker. However, I was less confident when I met him.

I immediately took out my goblin army which has now reached 100 goblins. Yes, during the journey I kept calling and putting goblins into my Soul Container. Some I left to take care of me, although some were also killed because of the monsters that appeared suddenly.

The goblin army I summoned lined up neatly before me. Their levels are now varied. Some still have level 9 but some have reached level 14.

'I really like this scene, unfortunately I can only save 100. Well, I can call and not put it in Soul Container.' I thought in my heart.

Everything moves well. Is it because they have experience? I don't know. But their cooperation in defeating kobolds is excellent.

The 2 goblins will take up a position as tanks and resist the attack of the sword-wielding kobolds. Because the kobold was preoccupied with fighting 2 goblins who focused on defending, the other 2 goblins took a side position and attacked between the gaps made by the kobold.

1 The last goblin acts as a filler of emptiness. In other words, if the defense of the 2 frontline goblins collapsed, then he would fill in and replace them while the replaced goblins would be the filler of the next void.

Similarly, when from the right and left side kobold does not show any gap for attack, this goblin 1 will attack from behind even though it is a little risky. Wh why? Because the tail of this kobold is strong enough to knock down this small goblin. Not to mention the powerful kobold foot kick.

Well, this is what would happen if the goblin only had a short sword as his weapon and a small wooden shield as his defense.

"Is there any way to upgrade the equipment of the goblin army I have summoned? I don't know, I'll try to find out later. Now I need to focus."

Focus on what? Of course fulfilling my role as the master of this goblin army.

My role is long-range assault. Using the Lightning Strike skill that I had bought before, I stood on top of a rock high enough to observe the entire plot of the battle. If anyone is in danger, I will send a lightning strike from my hand to the dangerous kobold.

Similarly, when the goblin army is unable to give a final attack, then I will send lightning to finish off the kobold that has begun to die. Even though it's not dead, I can weaken it a little and those goblins can finish it off.

The Shock effect possessed by this Lightning Strike skill was quite useful. Because, after being hit by this small lightning strike the enemy will not be able to move for 3 seconds because of the Shock effect.

The hunt went very well. Items fell from the kobold's body which began to disappear from death. Similarly, the system notifications that constantly pop up signify the increase in the level of individual goblins and myself. What a magnificent sight to me.

But it doesn't seem like it for anyone else.

"It's terrible, a Tamer huh? I didn't expect that he could tame that many goblins to become his subordinate. If I can make him my subordinate, I will do anything for it, even if I have to kill him repeatedly...."

From behind the dark rocks, there appears a player who observes the path of the hunt conducted by Eric. It was a very sharp look from his eyes. His entire body was covered in black robes.

However, he could not hide his name like a normal player. That is the punishment given to those who become Player Killer or PK.

A fiery red color emanated from the name that appeared above his head.

'Straf'
