The Dungeon Master's
Chapter 248 - FFA PvP 1

The day keeps changing.

Erik, who continues to take care of his wife, still takes the time to do extra training in Re:Life.

So is today.

"Your firing direction is good, my lord. But I think it would be better if you kept your posture balanced. That way...."

A blonde woman who is so charming, and long pointed ears that seem to explain all Eric's shortcomings in archery in the Wooden Elf Forest.

Her name is Luvelia. It was the extremely talented Wooden Elf whom Eric had met a few months ago. Oliver, who had been given the order to hone this Elf talent, had performed it very well.

Even today, it was arguably Luvelia was one of Eric's most powerful subordinates. Although, it was still below Lucien's level.

It was only natural that Luvelia was still so young in this world.

Back to archery practice.

Ever since Eric lost against Angie at PvP some time ago, he has decided to figure out his weaknesses and shortcomings. And the answer was very clear, that his flexibility in fighting as a witch was very low.

Eric did possess immense strength as well as terrifying destruction power. All of that was evidenced in the previous branch of the Team Boss Raid competition. But there is one fatal flaw in that.

That Eric couldn't defend himself from a sudden, quick attack like Angie. Therefore, in a real fight Eric always needs an additional shield in the form of subordinates or other party members.

But right now, Eric is trying hard to eliminate that weakness and little by little learn from Angie's flexibility that his opponents can't conquer at all.

Eric did not want to rely too much on others at the time of the fight.

And here he was, learning archery techniques along with Luvelia.

"Thank you very much, Luvelia. I'll try it one more time."

As soon as it got dark, Eric would stop practicing archery and return to the Origin Dungeon. There, the other teacher waited patiently.

"Kufeng.... You finally came too. The Great King of Darkness." Said a charming Vampire Man, Lucien.

"Are you ready to die today, son of darkness?" Reply Eric while removing his wand and now only using his bare hands.

"If it's about that.... Let the god of death answer!"

Lucien immediately moved forward and headed towards Eric. It launched a merciless punch and claw. That's because Lucien knows very well that Eric can come back to life.

As his most powerful and slightly sane subordinate, Lucien received the 'fight me as if to kill me' command and managed to kill Eric six times during this exercise.

Of course, Eric accepted that casually. After all, Eric's death was meaningless. The missing level? He could get it back in a matter of hours.

But that death-fighting skill was all he needed to be able to progress beyond the limits of 'status' and also 'level'. The experience of fighting.

'Bruuk! Traakk! Bruukk'

Punch after punch continued to be launched by the two people. Eric who had a lower Agility and Strength than Lucien would naturally be quite at a disadvantage.

Even so, Eric can make movements that are very precise and efficient so as to minimize the difference in strength determined by the system.

On the other hand, Lucien dominated the fight in the middle of this barracks field.

The essence of this exercise is to give Eric the opportunity to learn improvisation in a fight.

In the midst of a fight that is difficult to predict and measure with the mind alone, improvisation is very important. Moreover, the ability to adapt.

Not only that, with this exercise Eric will be able to develop it in a close combat ability.

'Braa!'

The powerful punch from Lucien threw Eric to the end of the field and ended the first half match practice that lasted for 8 minutes.

"Kufeng.... Weak, lord of the shadow. Can't you go on anymore?" Lucien asked while covering half his face with his right hand.

"Just shut up, you enemy of the light. I'll finish you off after this. Heal!" Eric said as he immediately healed his body.

The practice continued until Eric was able to defeat Lucien who did not heal his body at the 21st round.

After that, Eric didn't immediately Log Out. But he went to see Knox to practice the technique of using various melee weapons directly by his experts.

"Mr Eric, it would be best if you swung it like this. Then you can continue with a swing in this direction. Can you understand, my lord?" Knox asked with his face but was very friendly.

Eric, who appeared to be carrying a dull iron sword, immediately tried it by swinging the sword into the air.

Knox kept watching his Master train. In his heart, he asked a question.

'If Mr. Eric keeps sharpening his abilities like this.... Chances are he'll....'

But his mind came to a halt in the middle as it saw Eric make a mistake in swinging his sword.

"No, no. Not like that, my lord. But like this. Look at me all right."

Knox demonstrated it well. Everything he taught was purely sword skills, not a skill.

Eric who from the beginning 'forced' to become a witch because of the skill set he obtained, now looks so happy because he can learn to sword properly.

After all, from the first time he played Re:Life, Eric always used a sword to find the Summoner's ancient book.

The training continued for several hours. Until finally, Eric decided to Log Out because it was so late at night in the real world.

"I'll look forward to the next training session!" Eric shouted as he began to disappear and turned into a white light before Knox.

'My lord.... Although not talented, his will and determination to train was extraordinary. I'm sure with all this hard work, you can become very strong one day.'

Knox ended his mind and went back to work. After all, he was the leader of all the soldiers present in all of Eric's Dungeons.

In the real world....

"Faulia.... It was quite exhausting training today as well. But at least, I can prepare a plan for Free For All PvP." Erik said to himself.

He immediately went to look for light food in the refrigerator. Immediately after eating a snack and washing his face, He spoke to himself again in the reflection of the mirror.

"I know you're afraid to fight that guy again. But at least, this FFA game will give me a better chance. Now it's.... How do I farm efficiently in a game where all levels and player skills are reset?"

After thinking for a moment, Erik smiled in satisfaction when he got an answer that he thought was quite appropriate. Soon after, he decided to go to sleep.
