The Dungeon Master's
Chapter 76 - Underworld Dungeon

“Hmm...”.

I fell silent after coming out of Deus' hideout. It was all because I was shocked by the scenery that existed in the underworld.

It looks like a dense forest with various types of plants and animals that live in it. In the distance there are green mountains and rivers that flow quite profusely. Occasionally the settlement of the demons around it is clearly a fertile farmland.

Not enough to get there, even a lot of birds chirping on this sunny morning.

“Damn it! Isn't the underworld more beautiful than the human world?!”

After cursing a few times, I decided to go to the nearest settlement. I don't know what the name of the village is I don't care. But the people who are there seem quite friendly. They are devils of different races. Vampires, Dark Elves, Lilith, Succubus, and more.

“Why do all these races live peacefully here?” I asked Deus who was in my body. Not without reason, even the villagers welcomed me very kindly.

“That's because we are in the territory of the Demon Queen of Sierra, a person of the Dragon race. No one dared to fight him at all, and all who stayed here would be guaranteed his safety. It's also one of my reasons for hiding here.” Answer Deus in detail.

“Dragon? That scaly creature that flew?” Ask again.

“Yes, she was a Dragon Priestess in her youth. She is now the Queen of the Devil. Although its territory is small, but its very strong military power allows this peace.” Obviously Deus.

Now I began to realize that it was not forever that the demon races went berserk as they pleased. Deus then also explained about the various demon races that exist in the underworld.

If it was me I would have been tired of listening to his long lectures. But now I understand, to be stronger, information is very important.

“Ah? You looking for monsters around here? Then I suggest the Dungeon that is in the North. There are many types of monsters to fight.” Answer one of the villagers I asked.

To be honest I felt strange because they were being so kind to me even though I was a newcomer.

Is it because I look like a vampire? I don't know.

I also hastened my footsteps towards the Dungeon mentioned. After arriving, I found a cave with a large entrance in the middle of this forest.

“Uh…. Isn't this too high for me, Deus?” I asked in confusion after seeing the Dungeon's information.

“What are you saying?! Now you have some of my power! You can get through all this! Maybe!” Deus answered confidently.

“Alright, I'll try it. Besides I plan to die someday.”.

“Hah?! You can't die here! If you die then I will be trapped inside this terrifying dungeon!!!” Deus panicked at my answer.

I began to wonder where her confidence came from. And thus, I began to enter this Dungeon.

Just one step….

‘Jleb!!’

An arrow stuck in my chest.

[You have received a Critical Hit!]

[You have received 37,692 damage!]

[The damage you received was huge!]

[Receive the Stun effect for 1 second!]

“Damn it! You said I'd be okay?! Mana Shield!” I shouted as soon as I saw the notification.

A moment after that appeared a series of arrows in large numbers. Everything leads to my heart. Any attack that hits the opponent's vital point will increase the Critical Hit's chances drastically. That's why my enemy is eyeing my heart this time.

[You have received 21,943 damage!]

[Mana Shield has withstood the damage you received!]

[Mana has been reduced by 65,829]

[You have received …. ]

“Damn it!” I cried out in despair at this situation. I decided to turn my body over and get out of this dungeon as quickly as possible.

As the name implies, the monsters inside the Dungeon will not come out and chase after me. They seemed to be guarding only their Dungeon from intruders. To be honest I felt very lucky because the Dungeon door did not close and forced me to finish it.

“Why did you run, Eric?! Just kill...” Shouted Deus inside my head. I immediately cut off his words.

“Kill what?! There I am who will die! Don't you know the difference in strength?!”

“The most important thing is his spirit! Business win or lose..” Obviously Deus after hearing my answer.

I was finally forced to listen to his talk about the importance of spirit in battle. Besides, I have to accept the fact that winning or losing is not everything. After a while I started to understand. Perhaps this was the cause of Asmodeus' defeat in the war against another Demon King.

The 2 Goblins that have each become Goblin Knights and Goblin Magicians are now in front of me. Not only that, I also summoned a Kobold and made it a Kobold Warrior. I gave them the best gear in my Inventory. Although it was only a failed item belonging to Tasmith, but its power was beyond doubt.

“Eric? Why don't you call Slime?” Deus asked suddenly after watching me for a while.

“Shut up, Deus. For some reason I can no longer trust your advice.” Short reply. It was not without reason because Deus was the one who advised me to go kill myself to this Dark Elf Dungeon. He even said that everything would be fine.

“No, Eric. I seriously. If with your abilities, then Slime can be one of the strongest monsters ever. I once fought a very strong slime first and decided to run away.” Reply Deus.

“Hah? You serious?”

I was confused too. The slime? The strongest monster that made the Demon Queen run away? Is it really like that? To satisfy my curiosity, I immediately summoned a slime and tried to make an evolution.

[Slime will evolve!]

“Eh? Why can't I choose the direction of its evolution?” I was confused because usually I can determine the direction of evolution I want.

But as if not waiting for me, the golden light had already enveloped the little green slime. The light was moving wildly, as if it were at the time of Tasmith's evolution. A big smile was clearly visible on my face.

[Abnormal Evolution has occurred!]

[Drastic Mana usage increase!]

[Slime is trying to expand even further!]

[ …. ]

Instantly, the golden light stopped moving and disappeared. The notification that appeared before me only made me even more annoyed.

[Slime failed to make an evolution!]

“Hah? Failed it? What does this mean?” I cried out in confusion as this was the first time I had seen the notification of the failure of evolution. Although the notification of Abnormal evolution has only happened once before, but the failure of evolution has never been met. When I saw the status of the Slime….

[Failed Slime Attempt 1]

[Bags : Slime]

[Rarity: Normal]

[Level: 8]

[Growth Stats]

STR :1

AGI 1

INT :1

VIT 1

STA :1

DEX :1

There was a green jelly-like monster in front of me. His small body jumped to and fro without a clear direction. Every move he made caused a pretty annoying ‘boink’ sound.

And that's it, I have a new reason not to trust Deus anymore. Honestly, every suggestion just makes me more unlucky. Should I die now without having to explore this underworld? I think his advice on this one will only lead me to misfortune.

...***...

In the middle of the vast desert, there were only 7 people.

6 people wearing all-white gear with sword and light symbols. Another was wearing a black robe with a purple pattern. He smiled so much, even though he was outnumbered.

“Buahahaha!!! Inquisitors! What are you guys gonna do now? Against me? Are you sure?! Hahahah!!” Shouted The man with the pale white hair and skin.

The six Inquisitors are now in a very critical condition. Their armour has begun to crumble, as well as their Health Point which is now starting to thin.

“You.... will really destroy the world...this?” Shea asked who was currently covered in blood.

“Hah?! Whatchu mean? I'm not interested in that at all. I just wanted to…. Ahahaha!!! Now I can reach it!!!” Shouted Evan suddenly.

“Shea, stop that. He's gone completely crazy..” Said an Inquisitor who was next to Shea.

“To achieve my goal... I need peace! Tell me the Inquisitor! Are the six of you willing to make a fair deal with me?!” Evan said after being satisfied laughing like a madman.

“Agreement? What do you want?” Shea asked doubtfully. His body that was unable to move anymore was now only able to accept this bitter reality. Listen to the words of the enemy of mankind.

“I promise I will never again disturb human civilization. But instead..” Said Evan while sitting in the middle of the desert. His pale white body like an undead only added to the horror of his eye view.

And so…. The agreement between Evan and the six Inquisitors was agreed by both parties.
