The Dungeon Master's
Chapter 53 - Development of Dungeon 1

“Is that his strength?” I panicked to Elin.

“I told you you could see it for yourself!”

I gulped down my saliva looking at the evolution of the Kobold I named Tasmith. His abilities were truly terrifying not only as a craftsman but also as an individual. his 5 high main statuses allowed him to fight on the frontlines.

Even so, Tasmith still had a level of 5. No matter how big the Growth stats He had all of them would be meaningless if the level was only 5. Hence….

“Tasmiths. I will charge you to increase your abilities by hunting in the Orc Dungeon first. You Goblins, please deliver Tasmith to the border of Dungeon Orc.” I'm firm.

“I'll be back when it's strong enough, Milord.” Tasmith replied briefly as she stood up from her place. He immediately followed the Goblins to raise his level in the Orc Dungeon.

“I also want to develop the defense of this city. Elin do you want to accompany me to set traps in some places now?” I asked Elin.

“Of course. The safety of this place is paramount. I don't want the Origin City we've painstakingly built to be destroyed by intruders.” Elin replied with a smile.

I immediately headed to the entrance of Origin City which was on the top floor, above the City of the first floor. Maybe I should call it the 0th floor? I don't know. Several Goblin miners also took part if I needed their help in tidying up the trap installation.

“Install Trap : Arrow Trap!” My speech.

I put at least 5 arrow traps in the driveway into the City. The trigger is very simple, the floor behind the secret door made of stone. In addition, I also installed a Falling Pit around that door.

“Eric, even though they received the arrow and fell into the hole, they will not die.” Elin.

Also true. The damage given by this trap was quite low. If the one who entered this place was a Player with a fairly high level and good equipment, at most they only lost a quarter of their HP.

After thinking about it well, I decided to install Spawn Point for monsters. The number I installed in the room entered with a rather large size is 10 Spawn Point. 3 of them I fill with Slime, 5 of them I fill with Goblin and the rest with Kobold.

Not enough to get there, I also installed Slippery Floor in the driveway so that it would be easier for them to fall into the Falling Pit. I also installed dozens of Arrow Trap just above the Falling Pit hole where the trigger is the floor at the bottom of the hole. Thus, those who fall will be showered by arrows.

Even though they were able to get out of this 3-meter deep hole, they had to face dozens of monsters that had emerged from Spawn Point in this room.

“I think this is enough!” I said to myself.

Elin who heard my words just shook her head.

“There is no such thing as enough in defense, Eric. We will always be lacking in anticipation of the opponent's strategy.” The answer.

“Then what else should I prepare?”

“I want to say ‘Set up Teleportation Circle’ but since the limit is only for places with Dungeon status then we can't make it now. Maybe if it's advice…. Prepare traps along this driveway.” Elin.

“B-isn't that overkill? What if you or I forget the location of the trap? Wouldn't it just be a weapon to eat sir?” I shouted in denial of Elin's proposal.

“We won't be out of here too often for some time.” Reply Elin.

“A-what?! Then how to sell all the goods produced by this city?” I was surprised by Elin.

“We will sell it occasionally. We still have a lot of money. Our main focus is the development of Origin City first while building a labyrinth that makes it difficult for intruders to enter. Although their chances of finding this place are low, we must still prepare it before it is too late.” Elin clearly in detail.

All of that has been decided. Elin deployed a portion of the Miner Goblin to work on building the labyrinth at the entrance to Origin City. The construction has been going very smoothly to date.

The room that was originally rather large was gradually transformed into a giant room separated by barriers that covered the view of the people there. The height of this labyrinth reaches 5 meters. With so many walls and rooms available, the hope was for the intruders to have trouble reaching Origin City.

Then how did Elin and I get in? Elin was planning to set up a Teleportation Magic Circle in one of those rooms. Of course I can manage anyone who can use it.

Moreover, Origin City had also grown by leaps and bounds. With the presence of Kobolds which now number has reached 10 thousand, the development and craft sector is growing very rapidly.

The houses where the monsters who used to be made only of wood that Elin bought from the City of humans, have now been replaced into houses with stone materials. The large number of miners and craftsmen allows the manufacture of bricks that make the residence look more beautiful and strong.

The lights of most of the torches have now been replaced into beautiful lanterns. Well, even though it does not have glass but this perforated lantern is much more beautiful than a torch from wood.

Knowing the development of the craft that increased rapidly, Elin decided to enlarge the size of the City on each floor. However, a large population also means high food needs.

Development in agriculture and livestock must be increased again.

As a result, the entire Goblin Miner was tasked with widening the place used for agriculture. Although it takes a long time, but the hope is that I can increase food production for my subordinate monsters.

“If only I could produce more food…. You know Elin despite using light magic from the Goblin Shaman, the yield of this grass is still low when compared to wheat and rice on the surface there.” I was upset that the increase in agricultural output was quite low.

“You how else, Eric. If you remember what you said about the Obelisk, wouldn't it be better if we hid underground?”

Yes, that's the harsh reality I have to face. If only I had come to the surface and led thousands of monsters as my subordinates, what were my reasons I would still be labeled as the enemy of mankind. Especially by the Celestine Holy Kingdom.

“Inquisitor yes? What are they like? As powerful as what?” I asked Elin.

“Now, I've only heard from the players. They seem to move in secret and crush what they call the enemy of mankind.” Answer Elin.

I understand if I have to hide for as long as I can without dealing with the troublesome thing right now. Yes, I am still weak. But the time will come when I announce the existence of this Monster Kingdom to the entire Player.

After that, Elin and I returned to our routine. Calling monsters to run out of Mana then relax while browsing the internet through the menu window.

“Hey check this out, Eric! Isn't this cat very adorable?” Said Elin while showing off the MeTub video he watched from the window of his menu.

Meanwhile I was still busy watching videos of kittens playing yarn.
