Chapter 49 - New Plan
“So this legendary power dreamed of by the Obelisk huh?” I said to myself.
I decided to surround this room full of treasures. Honestly seeing this much treasure made me want to take it all. But is it good to do? Given that the Obelisk had just entrusted me with its power.
I don't think so.
After a few hours surrounding this treasure room I began to understand a little about the Obelisk. Judging from his wealth alone, he was definitely a very great person in the past.
But since his defeat against the Demon King Belphegor, he had long since died and lost almost all of his power.
“Total reached hundreds of thousands of gold coins?” I ask myself.
Of course I didn't mention it in origin. The system that always appears before me that takes into account the estimates of all the gold that is here, along with all the artifacts and items that exist.

Despite saying so, my eyes were fixed on an item hovering next to the golden throne of the Obelisk.
A magic wand that seemed to be made from a pitch-black metal material. The structure is very beautiful with blue grooves lit up all over the stick. At the end of the staff was a bright red magic stone that seemed to be grasped by the hand of the wand.
“Hmm…. Maybe I can borrow it? Of course you can, Obelisk? I won't touch anything else anyway! Haha…. Joking, I'll just see the status.” I said to myself.
Instantly I was shocked to death upon seeing the status of that magic wand.

“As if the Obelisk said that I should not use it, hahaha…. But, who exactly is an Obelisk?”
I started asking myself. From his appearance he was very similar to a human. No, I'm pretty sure that he's just a human.
But a human being who can live thousands of years? Didn't NPCs also have the same age as humans in the real world? After all he said that he was fighting the Demon King? Who exactly is he?
Whilst puzzling over things I should not have thought of, I left the treasure room. After entering the cave made by the giant minotaur, the entire fire in the room died. I honestly feel like I'm in a horror game right now.
I tried to enter the room again. But the fire that was previously burning did not come back. Even the treasures I have tidied up are gone.
Sure enough, the entire treasure that was there became invisible and like an ordinary room. Now I am convinced that what I saw before was some sort of illusion magic projected by the rest of the Obelisk.
“So he only showed me his glory days? I don't know.”
I also walked along the minotaur tunnel to return to my monster city.

“Eric! Where's you!” Shouted Elin shortly after Log In into Re:Life.
But there is no answer. Even the goblins that were around him just fell silent and stared at the ground.
“Oi! What happened?” Elin asked one of the goblins that passed in front of her. It seemed that he had not been able to speak and had only asked Elin to follow him by hand.
“Oliver? What's up?” Elin asked after arriving at the border between the mine territory and the Orc Dungeon.
“I have failed to protect Sir, Eric.” Oliver replied with a limp body and a face facing the ground.
“Uh, you know that the two of us can't die right? Come on stop whining and tell me what happened.” Reply Elin cynically.
“Although Mr. Eric and Miss Elin can come back to life, there is a great price to pay for it. Therefore my failure to protect Mr. Eric.” Oliver replied with an increasingly limp body.
‘Goblin's…. No, does the NPC understand the concept of a player receiving a penalty when he dies?’ Elin thought to herself. Naturally, Oliver is just a goblin with NPC intelligence. Understanding the Player concept should be quite difficult for him.

I left the mine and went back to the city with Elin and Oliver. We decided to have a serious conversation in one of the empty rooms in the city. After a few brief explanations, I was able to understand the situation that was going on.
“Legendary Dungeon Lord? Do you mean it's me?” I was confused with Elin.
“Yes! Everyone saw the system notification, even now the news about the notification is being discussed around the world!” Answer Elin.
Oliver who from just now was just standing next to me fell silent without a word. But the look on his face looked very serious and listened to our whole conversation.
