I'm Arlond. I'm just an ordinary adventurer in this Re:Life game. My level only reached 53. Not a bad number but not an impressive number either.
I play this game every day for 3 hours before going to bed.
Even though I am not a great player, I still enjoy this game a lot.
I can make a lot of new friends here. In addition, the scenery in this world is so beautiful that it makes me addicted.
Tonight is the same.
I went to a Tavern to order food and drinks and listened to the chatter of the adventurers. When there is an interesting conversation, I will join them.
If this is cyberspace why do I eat and drink? Of course because it's so good! I can eat as much as I want and drink as much as I want without worrying that my body in the real world will be affected.
Honestly, one of the greatest features in this game in my opinion is the ability of players to feel the pleasure of food and drink.
"This is your order, Sir." Said a waiter handing over my order.
I ordered mutton with spicy sauce and 3 pieces of toast. For the drink of course I ordered cold cow milk.
I continued to enjoy my food while listening to the stories of the other adventurers. Honestly, this atmosphere is very comfortable for me who just returned from work in the real world.
"Oi have you heard? There's a monster tamer at the foot of the Alpa Mountains!" Shouted one of the men who had been gossiping.
"Is that true?" Ask the man next to her.
Suddenly the atmosphere of the previously very crowded room was now quiet. Everyone closed their mouths to listen to the story of the man. Me included.
"That's right. My friend told me. He even showed me the loyalty of the monster He bought me!"
Everyone started whispering to each other as if in disbelief.
"What does this monster seller look like? Is he a Player or an NPC?"
"Where is he selling?"
"How much is each monster worth?"
"What monsters does he sell?"
Everyone threw his question to the man who opened this conversation.
"I heard he is an Unofficial Ranker with level 120 and above!" Answer the man.
Everyone was starting to get scared, including me.
"His appearance was covered in a gray robe, according to my friend's words, He used this robe to cover his wings and tail!"
"What's? So he was a player but had the appearance of a demon? How is that possible! The races that current players could choose were only humans!"
"Yes that's right!"
"Don't spread that shit here!"
The atmosphere became crowded to make fun of the man. But he remained calm.
"Foot of the Alpa Mountains, East side. To the exact coordinates that is...." Obviously the man.
No one believes it.
But at the same time everyone wants to believe.
If the explanation of this monster selling demon is correct, then the adventure will become easier by utilizing the monster as its shield.
"M-maybe I'll try to get there." Reply to an adventurer who never opens his mouth.
A lot of people like him, including me.
"Yes, even though the story is just a joke, we can still hunt monsters there."
"You're right!"
"Then, go into more detail about your story!"
The man then continued his story of the Player with the demon race as well as the level of over 120 who sold monsters as slaves to other players.
The man in question was Eric who was still at level 31. But no one knows the truth.
The next day, 5 players decide to see the truth of the story. Me included.
The journey went very smoothly as the five of us formed groups and worked together well.
Until finally, we arrived at the location in question.
The players matched the coordinates of the location he was in with the coordinates that the mysterious man mentioned last night.
The utilization of coordinates was already a basic knowledge for every player. Although it does not have a map, the player can utilize the coordinates himself and compare them with the coordinates of the destination to arrive at the desired location.
In front of them was a dark cave. They ventured to enter.
'If that demon attacks, can the five of us fight it?' I said in my heart.
After walking down the dark hallway with just 3 torches, we found a worn wooden door. On the right and left side of the door were 2 burning torches.
'Is it true here?' Thought we were five.
we tried knocking on that door. Looking at the situation, the story told by the man last night seems real.
From behind the door came a slightly horrible voice.
"Please enter!" Her speech.
We have swords and shields, magic wands and daggers ready. If he did attack the five of us, then we would at least retaliate for his attack.
But what happened surprised us.
Inside the room were hundreds of different goblins. Some are thin dry, some are slightly fat, some are even as big as humans.
Not even a moment to speak, the demon opened its mouth.
"Welcome, my customer. What kind of goblins do you want?" Ask the devil.
"A-do you really sell goblins as slaves?" I asked without hesitation.
"Yes that's right. Their loyalty you can prove here."
The devil gave us a goblin.
"Give him any orders."
"Uh, attack that skinny goblin!"
Instantly, the goblin thrust his little sword towards the skinny goblin. The demon immediately stopped their fight.
"That's my merchandise, if you hurt him then you should buy it!" Shouted the devil.
Instantly the five adventurers were frightened to hear it. Their lives are threatened. Not only from those high-level demons, but also from the hundreds of goblins surrounding them.
'Damn it, we can't make him angry.' Thought.
"Of course we'll buy it. We are very satisfied with the results of the trial hahaha." Answer the adventurer on my left.
"Good then. Please choose the goblin you want." Answer the devil.
After discussing the price of each goblin, we ended up buying 60 goblins. Everyone will bring 12 goblins.
After the transaction was completed, we exited the cave without losing any fear.60 goblins lined up behind us.
Arriving outside the cave....
"Huh, shit! Why didn't I believe what that guy said last night!" Shouted one of our members.
"Truely, that monster-seller demon was terrifying. Just seeing her aura gave me creeps of fear!"
"We should invite more people to watch out for a bad situation."
"No! We should have done better in front of the devil! Despite looking like a human, it was unmistakable that it was a high-level demon!"
"Although that's the case, isn't the merchandise very good? Besides, it's also very cheap." I said to melt the atmosphere.
To be honest, I'm still scared of the devil, but I can't just look at the negative side. On the plus side, of course the merchandise is very good.
"You're right, Arlond. I never thought this monster would obey our orders."
"Yes that's right."
After that, the atmosphere became light again.
Although Eric pretends to be a high-level player, there is something that Eric does not know.
Yep.
It was a fact that he was known as a high-level demon.
