Chapter 44: Battle of Old Friends
Raka was still asleep in her dreams, while the fight in the outside world was still going on.
"Evangelion. Do you think you can take my students easily, huh?" Yama opened the conversation.
"Tsk. You reckon? If I can take one, then I should be able to take it for the second right? Old buddy?"
"Ah. That's right, the first one I've considered my fault, the second one is my strength, and the third one is my miracle right?"
Yama took a deep breath, slowly the land, her relaxed expression began to fade, changing into an angry expression, "You may not know, but she is special, Evangelion. And you won't be able to reach it, not a single bit " Yama said turning serious.
Evangelion simply smiled cunningly, without hesitation saying, "If I can't then you can't either, Yama" Evangelion threatened him.
"Oh? If so, can you explain your actions all along? Seizing my students huh?"
Evangelion. He really panicked when he heard the answer from Yama.
"I think you should change what you said before, what Yama could have, I can't have then I should take it"
Evangelion shook with his anger. He then glides and attacks Yama suddenly.
Blows, kicks, alternating between Evangelion and Yama.
They were so fast that none of them could catch their movements. Formations and magic attacks continue to be launched both, so fast, magic effects and formations can not be distinguished who launched them. Their battle field was completely destroyed.
None of the soldiers dared to enter the fight, not even a word could they say. They could only watch and admire that great fight. While Raka, she is still unconscious and asleep in her dreams.
After a long time of fighting, they then retreated and paused for a moment. The battered state of Evangelion was filled with wounds. While Yama only looks tired and wipe his sweat a few times.
"Oh? Are you exhausted Evangelion??" Yama smiled 'friendly'. While Evangelion was just grieving in response to Yama's taunts.
After all, this was not the first time for him to fight with Yama. For him, Yama is an enemy as well as a rival that he must defeat.
A moment later, 10 white shadows appeared and landed beside Evangelion. They were the subordinates of Evangelion, some of them were former Yama disciples who defected from him.
Yama bit his lips in annoyance, among them were people he had trusted, and now he had to fight him as an enemy.
"A ha ha, Yama! I want to see how you renege on your own promise! As a teacher, you have a promise not to hurt your students, no matter what they do, right? that's what you told me back then"
Yama was silent. While the three of them advanced quickly came to Yama.
The fight again happened, this time three people against one person. Of course if he was an ordinary person then he would be overwhelmed facing his enemy at once. But not for Yama, this kind of attack had no major effect on him at all.
He persisted in not attacking and injuring his former students, however he had promised each of their dead parents.
Yama's memories drift to the moment when she first meets Raka. How he met a little boy who was dying. About how the expression that was painted on Raka's tiny face.
About how he felt when he was called a teacher by his little student. In the eyes of Yama who already had many disciples before, this feeling was indeed nothing new to him. But still, his meeting with Raka actually caused a certain impression.
He was neither his smallest nor his greatest student. Nor was he his disciple the genius or the dumbest. He was also not his strongest or weakest disciple. Or even a polite or annoying student to him. To him, Raka was an ordinary disciple. There is nothing too meaningful or special about him.
But, the feeling that grew during his time as his teacher was the strongest.
'This child is my precious disciple. There is no meaningful advantage to it.'
'But that doesn't mean he doesn't have it. The only advantage of him is, the feeling of belonging to each other that he has'
