Chapter 21: Who Would have thought?

How do I recruit members?

I don't know, I'm just doing little tasks from the master on the sidelines of my training. But again who would have thought if I was actually recruiting ex-criminals!?

Yep! About 70% of the group I founded contained fugitive criminals from the underworld.

Those who are considered to be useless criminals, criminals who have lost their purpose, and the rest are weak citizens who are intimidated by power.

I myself don't know why they joined, but obviously, whether it was just me or something like that, I feel like the only reason they joined was protection - or something like that.

If asked what the Ghost Monarchy had been doing all along, then the answer was many. Perhaps because of the division of tasks and positions that cause all problems in the Ghost Monarchy can be resolved completely. But well, it all certainly cannot be separated from the talents and abilities of the leaders in the Ghost Monarchy.

While me? I don't know, it's so pointless, that I might not even be recognized for talking or connecting with people in my own organization - in other words, my members.

And, for some reason I got other strange nicknames, such as the Night Lord, the Leader of the Underworld, and beyond my expectations, the King of the Criminals!

Ugh, what the fuck, I don't know why I got a nickname like this, anyway, I'm not a criminal you know!

Well, my little heart said if it all appeared as an effect of the founding of this organization, the Ghost Monarchy.

"Master, you're here!?" A voice surprised me.

In front of me, a teenage boy with long blonde hair smiled, a collection of documents he seemed to hold.

"Ah, I'm a bit bored" I said as I glanced at the collection of documents he held.

"From that, you seem to be busy, Louise?" My toot.

"ah! No, I just finished the organization's financial statements." Speak lightly.

"So, how's the development of your members?" Askaqua.

"So, yeah, go ahead, I trust you" I said.

"Okay, I beg you to resign, young master" he said, paying little respect.

I nodded small while still looking at his back that was getting further away.

Louise Volquitte, she was the first pillar I pointed to. The reason I pointed it out myself is quite simple - it has to do with talent. Compared to me, you could say he had the intuition to become a rich businessman.

Even though his skills are actually the result of my teaching. But well, my hunch said that he would still be a great merchant even without my teaching on modern accounting.

Yes, modern accounting. Come to think of it, it might be a bit strange anyway, given my identity as a killer, how could I possibly study accounting.

But yeah, that's true. In the past, just before becoming a killer that ended miserably, I had lived a normal life as a student, a student, to become an office worker.

You could say, in that span of time I could study accounting and other sciences. Although not the smartest, but thankfully I can still remember it.

And, if asked who Louise is and how can I be close to her. So the answer is, it was a little story a few months ago.

Under the rain of this city, a small teenager with long blonde hair walked with an adult man.

"Anu.. Brother, can I ask you a question?" My toot. Well, even if it's just for trite talk anyway.

"Tch! Who the hell are you? I don't even know you!" Arrogant speech.

"Hmm, would you die if you answered my question huh? Well, if you really don't want to answer yes already. And also, the human heart cannot be known, what is seen does not mean what happens. So, please be careful. We'll meet again" I said.

It's a bit exaggerated, but what I said is true. And, if you ask whether the meeting was intentional or not, then the answer is intentional!.

And what about all of my words? Is that all a lie?

Don't ask me! In fact, I'm just a courier! Not more. And, whether it was true or not, but that was all that the master conveyed.

And who would have thought if the worst really happened?
