The Eternity: The Colour of Fate
Chapter 60

Chapter 60: Phoenix

Strange sounds invaded my mind.

I opened my eyes.

The darkness immediately greeted me.

"And rise from your death"

"And claim your throne"

I heard the same voice again. I raised my head, and immediately got up from my place.

"Who are you?"

"Me?"

"Yes, you"

"Take a guess"

"I don't like guessing"

"Pathetic"

"Basin the old man"

"Whatever you say"

"Me, Phoenix"

His words surprised me. Phoenix, one of several major levels of myth. His existence that was not affected by space and time, that was the level of his power height.

And, the most important strength of him was, his characteristic, Eternal.

"Phoenix?"

"Pretend man!"

"I, the legend that never dies, appear before you"

"Aren't you supposed to be happy!?"

"Compared to that, how do I get back?"

"What do you mean!?"

"Ah, you seem to be angry" I said softly to myself.

"Huh!?"

"No, forget it"

"So? What do you want?"

"Tsk! Didn't you learn to respect me!?"

"If you hope so, then you're wrong. I'm not a human being who's gonna adore you as big a figure as you"

"Well, at least your soul shines beautifully"

"???"

"It seems that your soul that shines with brilliance is from your pride, yes,"

"???"

"I don't understand, say something I understand"

"Well, whatever, 'cause you got me interested, so tell me what you want."

"What yes?"

"ah! Hand over my blessing of immortality stone!"

"Huh? You're clever. But why are you asking for that trash stone?"

"Whisper!"

"From that, why do you need it when you even meet the mother?"

"If so, you shouldn't need it, right?"

"Not really"

"What's your answer!?"

"More importantly, you need it, right?"

"That's what I said!"

"alright. Answer my question"

"Which is more important, victory or resurrection?"

"You kidding me?"

"No, there are a lot of answers out there. But, I want to hear it from you"

"Hmm, how is it? Let me think of the right words"

"..."

"Resurrection or victory, huh?"

"I don't know anything else, but I think both are equally important."

"Select the more important one"

"I chose resurrection."

"Why?"

"Simply put, there was a lot of time when I fell. No matter what, it felt so precious when I managed to get up and win it. But, victory means nothing when I cannot rise from my fall."

"Even if I rise without victory, it feels much better than victory without resurrection. In short, what's the point of me winning if after that I can't win it again?"

"There will always be a chance to win in the resurrection, but there is little chance to rise when you win"

"I like it, your answer"

A ray of golden orange light appeared, bursting together with a warm sense of majesty. From behind the glorious golden fire, there appeared a deep orange color, burning with its light.

"I think I know why you asked" I said. Many questions came to my mind, though,

'Is he always this bright?'

'Is the light never dim?'

'Does eternal fire really exist?'

'The answer is no, they ever become dim, until then completely extinguished. But, their souls remained blazing, filled with the spirit of resurrection. No one saw when he lost and vanished'

'But it immediately turned around as he got up and won every game'

'There are many who call it victory'

'But he hates it, because it is resurrection, not victory'

'There are many who glorify his immortality, but he is not truly eternal. He fell and died, but he also rose a thousand times in his long life'

'If victory is his golden flame that blazes full of light and brilliance, then resurrection is the core of his soul'

"It's okay. Know it? There are many people who praise my light and heat, but only a handful of people really know my essence"

"May I interpret it as, 'there are many who see your victory, but few who know your resurrection, ' right?"

"You got me, man"

"What do you mean?" I'm confused.

He didn't answer. Just shut up, until then, he let out a strange sound. It sounded like a song, but it was so short as a scream. It shone with pride, burning itself and turning into a golden light.

He darted towards me, penetrating into my body suddenly.

"Your company took your throne, man" he said before he was completely gone.

"You-" I said stifled as many chunks of memory entered my mind.

《 [RISING PHOENIX] Integrate 》

...□□□...

The memory is spinning, with me in it.

A dark room with a cold welcome me then.

'Did I get into someone else's memory?'

"Where is this?" I'm confused.

I immediately felt a gush of aura in the middle of that silence. With a step closer, two figures entered the room. The two horns on his head revealed their true selves as demons.

Creak.

That door is open. I tried to dodge when the two men seemed to be unaware of my existence.

"Ha huh! Isn't Deux stupid?"

"Well, I have to admit, he did get it, this Phoenix egg. But, who doesn't know about his greed?"

'What do they mean it's Deux from the heart?'

I murmured in my heart.

"Ha huh! But more importantly, are these eggs going to hatch? It's been a few months, hasn't it?" Said one of the men.

'That, phoenix?' I said as the white egg gave me a familiar impression.

The two demons placed the Phoenix egg on a box in the corner of the room filled with precious weapon weapons.

After that, they laughed as they passed.

Right after their departure, the room distorted. Everything turned black and white for a moment before finally returning. However, an atmosphere became very different.

A young woman with all her clothes in white. On his face, a golden mask covered half of his face.

The room was distorted. Becomes ash ash, blackened, until then returned to normal.

"What did you choose, resurrection or victory?" Asked a voice I heard a moment ago, the Phoenix.

'Hah, deja vu ya' I murmured in my heart.

"Let's see what the answer is" I told myself.

"I don't know" the woman replied coldly and briefly.

"Boring" replied the phoenix.

"But, if it's him .. I think the resurrection" he said made me a little confused.

"Him? Who?"

"Someone in the past, I guess"

"What's the reason?"

"I don't know."

"I wish I could meet him again to ask him. But I realize, it's impossible"

"Because of him in the past?"

"Right, but also because of me, didn't have the guts to meet him"

"Then? How do I know your reason?"

"It's possible that you could get it someday in the future, out of whoever it is" he said later.

"I hope when we meet again, you know why he chose her" Phoenix said.

"Hopefully"

The memory faded again for a moment, but not with the sound of both voices. In other words, I can still hear both of them.

"Who are you?"

"I? I think the devil" he said.

"No, you're not a demon. What's yourname?"
