Chapter 17: Learning
15/07, Middle Continent.
"Now!" Master's words surprised me.
"Huh-huh!?" I'm surprised.
Prangs!
The two sword eyes clashed against each other quickly.
Bruk!
I fell when our swords clashed.
"Ugh. My hands are numb." My complaint.
"Geez.. Isn't this not exciting? I mean, well, where did that tough kid attack me the other day, huh?" Master meredekku.
"Haw. Damnit damnit! I was even the first to wield a sword, so how could I possibly directly slash at you!?" My protest.
"Tch. Losing don't protest."
"U-ugh. somehow you're getting annoying, master!"
"Well, if I teach you everything now, what's the point of your brain and intelligence huh?"
"Why now do I know why my brothers and sisters no one has ever returned" Eluhku slowly.
...□ □ □...
The sun was right over my head when the training was over. I sat down tired, rearranging my breath.
"Four matches, and I have not once scratched my sword on his shirt, is that not a little embarrassing?" I took a long breath.
"You have tried, young master." he said, wiping a cloth over my face covered in sweat.
"If you ask me, then my answer is impossible, young master" he said holding a bottle of water to me.
"Ah, of course.I am aware of my strength, however, my pace is still long. If I can't be a master, I don't care at all, in fact. The power I'm going to work on is not the power to rival masters, you know.." I smiled as I imagined my family's smile in the past.
"Once again family, well, after all, I'm sure you'll be even stronger.at least as far as I can see, you're special young master"
"Haha, you just want to encourage me, don't you, Uncle Edward? Well, whatever it is, thank you"
"You're really smart, young master"
I got up from my seat and started swinging my steps back, clearing my body that was filled with dust.
"Ah, uncle, can you teach me some basic knowledge about this intermediate continent? I mean, well, the books are incomplete, I guess.so,"
"I understand, young master,"
Uncle Edward smiled in response to my words, he nodded and led me towards the library.
We started the lesson. Uncle Edward explained a few things about the condition of this continent.
Even though I already understand the outline of the power-sharing in this world, there are more things I need to learn. In my life, I am a prince, right?
There's a lot I learned from today's lesson. In fact, from it all there are some who apparently have similarities with general knowledge in my world first. Like the noble system, trends, manners, even some common lessons in my world were also studied here.
Well, arguably, judging from today's knowledge and lifestyle, it reminds me of the lifestyle in my medieval world.
Besides, I also got quite a lot of insight from him. Although I actually only asked Uncle Edward randomly to teach me because he was quite familiar with me.
But well, in fact, I didn't expect him to be really great at all. This man, like a political and governmental observer in my world, take it for granted. Whether talking about history, politics and power, social, economic, or the rules of the world, well, he mastered it so well.
Although perhaps his knowledge cannot compare to that of master Julius, but I can tell if uncle Edward is really great.
"Well, young master, I think it is enough for today.the great master must have been waiting for you to have dinner" said Uncle Edward as he prepared the books scattered on the table.
"A-ah right! I'll help you!" I stood up and immediately grabbed the big books on the table. Try putting it together and then, let it be returned to his shelf by uncle.
And, without me noticing, a pair of my eyes were staring at me, a slight smile on her wrinkled face.
