Chapter 42: Negotiation

That afternoon Keenan went to Rei's house, to discuss the results of their efforts to raise money to redeem Siena from Kenzi's hands. Arriving at Rei's house they sat in Rei's study. Keenan pulled out a medium-sized brown envelope.

"This is the sale of my once unused house" Keenan said, putting the envelope on the table. "The amount is not much, but if collected can help alleviate the debt of Hana's mother."

Rei picked up the brown envelope lying on the table and opened the contents.

"And this is the result of a loan of money from my papa, also nothing." Keenan thrust the second envelope in front of Rei.

"We've got five days left, Keenan." Rei took the second envelope. Then he stood near the table not far from where he was sitting. Rei opened the drawer and took out an envelope larger than Keenan's. He sat back on the chair, putting his envelope on the table.

"This money is from the sale of shares in my company, and it's not enough to make up for Siena." Rei stared intently at Keenan.

Keenan let out a long sigh, "what should we do Rei?" ask Keenan. "Wouldn't we tell Siena?"

"Don't you first, I think we can solve this problem," Rei said momentarily silent to reassure his own words.

"Repeat Rei, I'm definitely helping Siena.he's my best friend." Keenan shifted his seat closer to Rei.

"The amount of money we collect at this time can only pay the interest, not the main debt. But the money from the deceased Pact Karta that was collected enough to pay the basic debt of about 50% only." Rei sighed deeply.

"I don't understand how a mother could risk her baby at a gambling table.ckckckckck..." Keenan clucked in wonder.

"I also don't know for sure how it really happened, I was just asked to protect Siena and pay Ms Hana's debt to redeem Siena." Rei rubbed his hair rough.

Keenan patted Rei on the shoulder, "don't think about the past, we should get a way out of this debt problem." Keenan was stunned for a moment. "What if we call the police?" keenan.

Rei stood up, he stepped towards the table and picked up the file lying on the table. He returned to the chair and put the file on the table. "I've done it before, reported it to the authorities."

Keenan looked at Rei, "then?"

"All in vain, the result is nil..Kenzi is too sly and slippery. He turned the facts around as if it would be me who defamed him" Rei said.

Keenan nodded his head, "we'd better meet Kenzi right now."

Rei nodded his head, "well.."

They finally decided to meet Kenzi and give him the money, while negotiating an additional day or two.

It only took them fifteen minutes, they finally arrived at Kenzi's club and met him in the room.

"Sit down." Kenzi looked at the two men before him.

"No need, we came to pay interest and half of Ms. Hana's debt" Rei said.

Rei opened the medium-sized bag, he took out a medium-sized envelope and placed the envelope on the table.

"Please double check." Rei looked at Kenzi sharply.

Kenzi stood with both hands clutching the table, he stared at Rei and Keenan alternately and chuckled.

"Bring your money back, I want you to pay it all right on the day that Pak Karta and Bu Hana promised," Kenzi said with emphasis.

Keenan stood up, and kicked the table. "You don't have to be this arrogant!" exciting Keenan. Rei pulled Keenan's arm not to be rash. Keenan glanced for a moment at Rei then turned to look at Kenzi who was speechless staring angrily at Keenan.

"I warned you, do you remember?" Kenzi stood up straight. He approached Keenan. "Faith is expensive to me. And I believe you can pay on time."

"If we can't be on time?" ask Keenan.

Kenzi crossed both hands on his chest. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Siena is mine."

"Bad!" keena shouted to step closer to Kenzi. But his steps were held back. Rei blocked Keenan's arm, retreating backwards. Keenan stared at Kenzi. "You think Siena's a doll!"

"Of course he'll be my puppet, if you can't pay Hana's debt." Kenzi smiled cynically.

"You!!" pekik Keenan growled.

"You'd better get out of my room right now." Kenzi sat back in the chair casually.

Rei pulled Keenan's arm back, even though he didn't want to. It felt like he wanted to hit Kenzi in the face, in contrast to Rei who tried to stay calm against Kenzi.

Slowly they walked backwards and left Kenzi's room in a furious mood.

"What should we do?" ask Keenan.

"We're going to Siena's house now" Rei replied.

Keenan nodded his head, they immediately slid into Siena's house without wasting any more time.

Arriving at Siena's house. They found the girl daydreaming on the porch. Noticing their arrival, Siena immediately stood up.

"Rey! Keenan!" yells.

"Why are you talking to Siena?" ask Keenan.

They're sitting in chairs, "are you okay?" ask Rei.

"Mama.." said Siena quietly.

"Tante Hana why?" say they're in unison.

"Mama was delivered a man drunk" Siena replied sadly.

"Drunk.." said Keenan softly, he turned his head towards Rei who lowered his head. "Now how's your mama doing?"

"Mama's resting in the room" said Siena.

'Heiii! don't be sad, ugly know!" seductive Keenan tried to make Siena's mood not to grieve.

"I'm not sad, but I don't know what's wrong with you." Siena lowered her head.

"Siena, instead of thinking that it's not.You better get a drink. We're thirsty!"

"Ah, I'm sorry.What do you want to drink?" siena asked directly.

"It's up to you Siena" interrupted Rei.

"All right, you guys just wait a minute." Siena immediately rushed into the house.

"Tante Hana did it again" said Rei slowly, but it could be heard by Keenan.

"You mean?" ask Keenan.

"Hana's aunt stopped drinking a long time ago, now she's going crazy again" Rei replied.

Rei sighed deeply, while Keenan only frowned not understanding what was happening in the Hana family.

"Hey, now you daydream!" siena shouted from the door. He put the tray on the table back to sit. "Why are you?" siena looked at the two men before her.

"Nothing what," they answered in unison.

"You guys are composing that, are you guys finished?" siena Goda.

"What did you say? it's yummy!" exclaimed Rei looked at Keenan for a moment and then took aim.

"I mean, what the hell.I'm normal times!" Keenan looked at Siena horror.

The next second Siena laughed out loud watching the two of them. Siena momentarily forgot her confusion about the biological mother she had just discovered a few months ago.
