The System of the Immortal
Reviving Zhou Liyan

"Portals to a different Universe, yes. Haha... I didn't expect to find anything that interesting here." Fang Lin let out a small laugh, using the Copy-skill he had already imitated the Portal, "Maybe he wouldn't have expected that I imitated it, what would his reaction be if I took out the same portal just now?" inner Fang Lin wondered, maybe something interesting would happen if he did that.

"Sir, how strong is he really?" Zhou Fan could still vividly recall the foreign aura that brought him to his knees.

"Either... I didn't measure his strength, but he was definitely-he was a little stronger than Diablo." Fang Lin replied in a calm voice, actually, he could have caught the black iron creature but he did not want to take the risk at all, he had promised to go home soon - if he did not keep that promise then something bad would happen.

Zhou Fan could only clatter in horror when he heard that, he knew that the creature was very powerful but he did not expect that its power could surpass Diablo.

"Here you go, let's go somewhere else. There are some interesting ones in this Palace." asked Fang Lin, and Zhou Fan only responded with a nod.

The two of them then disappeared from there in an instant and re-appeared on different sides of the Palace, both exploring the Palace for some time and only finding a few that attracted attention.

"By the way, exploring this place has something to do with reviving my son, sir?" zhou Fan asked cautiously, the thought was very stuck in his brain and made him unable to not ask.

"Absolutely not, I asked you to bring me here because I was just curious." Fang Lin replied casually, then continued, "For your son's matter, you don't have to worry. I'll revive it when we're both out of this dimension."

Zhou Fan's countenance instantly brightened upon hearing that, a feeling of enthusiasm instantly filled his heart, "Thank you, Master. I swear I will remember this!" zhou Fan said as he lowered his body towards Fang Lin as low as possible.

"You don't have to thank me, I understand how you feel." Fang Lin patted Zhou Fan on the shoulder, "By the way, are you willing to become the next Demon God?"

"Of course I'm willing, for my son and you, sir."

Fang Lin chuckled slightly before saying, "Then, let's get out of this dimension. You can't wait to see your son, can you?"

"Yes!" zhou Fan replied as he nodded his enthusiastic head.

Fang Lin only smiled and then the two of them disappeared from the room in the blink of an eye.

After exiting the dimension through the blue portal, Fang Lin slightly raised his eyebrows when he saw the portal disappear just after he and Zhou Fan walked out of it.

"Well, whoa. He was stingy, yes. I want to go back with Yue." Fang Lin clucked softly, there was disappointment contained within his words.

Fang Lin then glanced towards Zhou Fan and found him looking back at him with a hopeful look.

"Uhukis... Let's revive your son." said Fang Lin and the Demon Emperor immediately nodded enthusiastically.

"First of all, do you still have that necklace of memories I returned to you back then?"

"I still keep it, sir." Zhou Fan hurriedly took out a pomegranate-red necklace, he directly extended his hand towards Fang Lin.

"Hold it." said Fang Lin and Zhou Fan only nod obediently, "By the way, give me a memory of your child's entire body. I've forgotten it after hundreds of years..."

Zhou Fan slightly tilted his head and asked to make sure, "What's in detail, Sir? But I don't know much about that."

Fang Lin coughed softly before shaking his head slowly, "No, it's not like that. I just need the shape of the face and the proportions of the body."

Fang Lin himself closed his eyes for a moment after the transparent white ball of light pierced through his forehead, there were some unfamiliar memories now residing within his brain.

A while later, Fang Lin's eyes slowly opened and he immediately raised his right hand towards the bottom. A white light emerged from his palm, and then the empty body of a Human began to be created.

As he watched that, Zhou Fan could not stop to cluck in admiration. When the light on Fang Lin's palm disappeared, an empty body that was very similar to Zhou Liyan was seen.

"My son.." Zhou Fan's voice trembled, his feelings were currently being mixed up.

Fang Lin who saw Zhou Fan's reaction only smiled faintly, Zhou Liyan was really lucky to have a father who loved him so much.

"Now, I will call upon his spirit." Fang Lin formed a circle on the ground, he then wrote down a fairly complicated ancient inscription inside the circle.

After he finished, Fang Lin flowed his Qi and he called out Zhou Liyan's name while recalling his face.

Singgg~

A white light accompanied a whooshing sound came out from the ancient writing written on the ground. Not long after, a spirit at high speed appeared out of nowhere and floated above the circle.

"Ah, where am I now?" such a familiar voice rang out clearly in Zhou Fan's ears, his eyes shaking violently upon discovering his son's spirit that was hovering nearby.

"Son... Are you that?" zhou Fan's voice sounded like it had held back the longing for so long.

Zhou Liyan gasped at that, her gaze shifted towards the source of the voice and her breathing was restrained when she saw her father figure walking slowly towards her, "A-dad... W-how did you get here?" zhou Liyan's tone sounded in disbelief, he without much further ado immediately approached his father and hugged him tightly.

"I-i.... I-I miss you so much, Dad! I-I thought k-we won't see each other again, hyks..." Zhou Liyan started crying with a hoarse voice.

Zhou Fan could only smile gratefully when he was able to reunite with his only son, "I'm sorry father, son. I took too long to pick you up to the point that you were killed by Wang Ling."

"It's okay, Dad. We can just meet up already makes me happy." Zhou Liyan replied quickly.

They had a conversation while hugging and Fang Lin just watched all of that in silence.

After some time, Zhou Fan took off his embrace and he immediately turned his gaze towards Fang Lin, "Thank you, Sir. I'm really grateful..." Zhou Fan lowered his body as low as possible.

Zhou Liyan himself looked at Fang Lin for a moment before coming down, he knew the handsome man because they had met several hundred years ago.

"I've only kept the promise I've made, even though you haven't become a Demon God for the time being but I'm sure that I will bear that title sooner or later."

Zhou Fan smiled broadly at it, while Zhou Liyan listened only silently - despite knowing nothing - he was able to conclude that Wang Ling was dead, either he was killed at the hands of his father or someone else.
