Fang Lin entered the foothills of the Khavarion Mountains filled with dense trees, then created a protective layer around him that had the ability to kill all Chimeras within a five-meter radius.
As all of the Chimeras in this mountain range numbered in the tens of thousands, Fang Lin met a few Chimeras after a few minutes of walking towards the top of the mountain.
"They are very unique, yes. But on the other hand, I feel pretty sorry for them."
The merging of cells between two different animals must have been a difficult process, Fang Lin wouldn't be too surprised if the results of all these Chimeras required unimaginable sacrifices.
Despite that, it was just a baseless speculation of Fang Lin. According to him, genius and luck will be the main factors of the success of making all these Chimera.
"By the way, I need to find out why tens of thousands of these Chimeras exist. But what am I supposed to do?" Fang Lin at least needed a piece of evidence in order to complete his mission.
Fang Lin had yet to circulate his Spiritual Awareness after arriving at this mountain range, so he had no idea what living beings lived here.
Time passed quickly, Fang Lin was already half a day running and he had not been able to get to the top of the mountain yet.
"So boring, not exciting." Fang Lin let out a long sigh of not finding anything to comfort him, "Just teleport right away."
Whooos!
A moment after saying so, Fang Lin disappeared from his place in an instant-then reappeared at the top of the mountain.
Fang Lin started circulating his Spiritual Awareness and found a cave that had a rung leading down.
Inside there, Fang Lin could sense the impure dark energy.
"Subject... I don't like this energy very much." Fang Lin shook his head slowly, then waved his hand to the side.
Whooos!
In the blink of an eye, that impure dark energy disappeared without the slightest remnant and was replaced by natural energy.
"Well, this is much better." Fang Lin muttered, then entered the cave.
As Fang Lin descended the stairs, Chimera started to arrive at him but they instantly died before they could reach him.
"It looks like the Black Witch inside this Mountain is already aware of my existence." Fang Lin muttered with a faint smile, "He might be panicking, but unfortunately I can't let him escape."
Before the Black Mage realized Fang Lin's existence, he had already created a barrier that limited teleportation laws, space rips and such. Arguably, the entire access to exit this Cave was already locked by Fang Lin.
A short while later, Fang Lin managed to descend the steps and found three different passageways.
Fang Lin unhesitatingly entered the left passageway because the existence of the Black Witch was there, the rest was just a bunch of Chimeras along with useless traps.
Various traps were also in the left aisle, but Fang Lin did not care about it at all as none of those traps could touch his skin.
After exiting the left passageway, Fang Lin found a large room that was mostly filled with items for research.
Fang Lin then turned his gaze in one direction, a thick barrier was created there - so thick a person with ordinary eyes could not break through something that was behind it.
Fang Lin smashed the barrier easily and revealed a man in his 50s wearing a black coat, he was so shocked when the barrier he created shattered.
A voice could not come out from that person when it found Fang Lin who was looking at him with a murderous gaze, he trembled in fear to the point of falling to his knees.
"I was given a mission to find out why there are so many Chimeras in the Khavarion Mountains, I'm sure you're the answer to that, aren't you?" Fang Lin walked up to the old man, then lifted him up to his feet using his Qi.
"I gave you two choices. Dying quietly after obeying my orders, or stuck forever in the Illusion of Hell?" Fang Lin asked, he gave a look that indicated that he was not joking.
The old man gulped his saliva repeatedly to dry, then he chose the first option.
Fang Lin brought the old man to the void dimension, then disappeared from there in an instant.

In the hallway of the deserted city of Heinz, Fang Lin appeared from behind the shadow with the black coat he was wearing. Then he went to the Hunters Union to complete his mission.
In the Hunter Union, the atmosphere was still bustling despite it being midnight. That is because, there are many hunters who like to move at night.
Fang Lin came to the reception desk and found a young man in his 17s, without much ado he took out his mission paper and said, "I brought the person concerned about this mission, what am I supposed to do?"
The young man was quite surprised to hear it, he then asked Fang Lin to wait then hurriedly left from there.
A short while later, the young man came with an Old Grandfather. He was Vulhan, the Chairman of this Hunter Union.
"Oh, that young man back then. Have you completed the mission?" Vulhan asked while smiling warmly.
"That's how..." Fang Lin replied briefly.
"I've heard the explanation from my nephew, so come with me..." Vulhan turned around when getting a nod from Fang Lin, the two of them then went to a room that was on the second floor.
"This room was built with special materials, and was intended to interrogate someone." Vulhan explained without fading his smile, just in case-he coats the protectors in the room using his Mana.
Fang Lin did not say much, then took out an old man who was in his emptiness dimension.
Vulhan was quite surprised by the appearance of an old man in a black coat from the air, "Artificial Dimension and Teleportation, huh? Hohoho... Fascinating."
Fang Lin paid him no heed and told the old man to stand before Vulhan.
"Jawab all her questions."
Fang Lin gave the order, and the man immediately nodded quickly.
Vulhan did not know what Fang Lin was doing until it frightened the old man.
"Jang Lin's hunter, I have the magic to read someone's memories. I'll use that, don't you mind?" Vulhan asked.
Actually Vulhan did not need any permission from Fang Lin, as he was basically his superior. But for no apparent reason, he still did.
Fang Lin paused for a moment hearing it as if he was thinking about the remark, his head then nodded slowly and said, "It doesn't matter, but I ask one thing of you."
"I'll listen to him." Vulhan agreed without much thought.
"Hide the facts about what you saw about me in her memory" Fang Lin said calmly.
"No problem, I promise I'll keep my mouth shut as long as it doesn't harm me and my family." Vulhan.
"Then do it."
Vulhan nodded then raised his right hand then held the old man's head, Mana fluctuations slowly spread from there and he began to absorb the foreign memories that entered into his head.
Fang Lin himself only observed the situation in silence, the reason for asking Vulhan to keep his mouth shut was because he was quite certain that in those memories there was a display regarding the changing energy field in an instant.
Since Fang Lin turned the impure dark energy into natural energy, it must have been an event beyond reason for the Black Witch as well as Vulhan.
