The System of the Immortal
Back To Heinz City

"Don't bother him, Linia. Why do you suspect weak people like him?" Zegion shook his head slowly as he said that.

Linia stared intently at her colleague who had just spoken, and said, "Don't interfere, Zegion."

"The longer you act, yeah. Just because the young master is close to you doesn't mean our degrees are different." Zegion instantly retorted, his tone sounding cynical.

"I speak according to my will, as long as the one giving the silent commandment is not the young master-I have the right to continue talking to him." Linia answered him, her tone was no less cynical either.

Zegion sighed when he heard that, he turned his gaze the other way because he was too lazy to argue with him.

Linia snorted softly before her gaze shifted back to where Fang Lin was, "Then let me see your memories."

"Huh?" Fang Lin raised his eyebrows.

Yohan who had been silent immediately looked at Linia with a displeased look, "You've crossed the line, glasses."

"What crossed the line? The case that befell the young master is very strange, if you can be invited to cooperate - maybe we will find the answer."

"It's funny, it's stupid. You just want to satisfy your suspicions, you don't have any evidence to do this kind of ridiculous thing." Yuna replied as she stared intently at Linia, she felt a little fed up as the demon kept trying to corner Fang Lin.

"Gee... Ruckus, here. Fun, fun." the young man with one eye covered by a wide grinning cloth, he was enjoying the current atmosphere.

On the other hand, Gwen who saw the situation start to deteriorate immediately asked Merlin to take precautions on her subordinates.

"Linia, stop talking to my friends" said Merlin indifferently after getting telepathy from Gwen.

Linia who heard that was silent for a moment before clucking in annoyance.

"Based on a crazy demon" Yohan said mockingly, she deliberately raised her voice in order to be heard by Linia.

"Yohan, don't provoke him..." Gwen from a distance instantly reminded, her gaze looking extremely sharp.

"Good, good." Yohan answered him lazily, then turned her gaze towards the night sky.

In less than half a day, they all finally reached near the territory of Heinz.

Merlin himself then orders the Devil who controls the giant eagle to land in the depths of the forest, as he carries a dozen Devils behind him - he decides not to land near the city gate.

"It looks like we're going to split up here, yes" Yohan said as she stretched her achy body.

Gwen and the remaining members of the group began to descend from the top of the back of the giant eagle, while Merlin simply observed the companions in silence without moving an inch.

"When do you want to meet?" Merlin asked as his gaze shifted to Gwen.

"I haven't thought about it, I need some time to rest." Gwen answered.

"All right, I get it." Merlin nodded slowly.

"By the way, is our group going to disband today?" Yohan asked because she could no longer hold back her curiosity.

"I leave everything to Gwen." Merlin replied, then added, "I'll go first."

Without much to say anymore, Merlin ordered the Devil who controlled the giant eagle to leave here.

Merlin's departure along with the dozens of Devils escorting him was observed by Fang Lin as well as the others.

Fang Lin and Linia's eyes met each other for a while.

"He's pretty sharp, yeah..." Fang Lin quietly muttered, then stepped his foot away from there.

"Oi, rookie. Where are you going?" Yohan who saw Fang Lin walking away immediately asked.

Fang Lin turned his head back and his eyebrows slightly raised, "Hm, where else is he going but to Heinz city?"

"Ah, fuck. Don't go alone dong!" Yohan walked up to Fang Lin quickly, then embraced him while smiling.

"They're familiar, yeah..." Yuna smiled faintly, her eyes shifted to the beautiful woman beside her, "Gwen? Why daydream?"

"No, I'm not daydreaming." Gwen who was slightly flinched immediately replied, "Let's go back as well."

Yuna was silent for a moment looking at Gwen's behavior just now, she then nodded her head slowly and walked along with her.

Fang Lin, Yohan, Yuna and Gwen began to part ways to return to their respective places.

"Are you okay?"

As Fang Lin and Yuna headed in the same direction, the two of them walked side by side.

"What do you mean?" Yuna slightly furrowed her brows, she did not stare at Fang Lin directly as she was still not used to his good looks.

"Colin said a while ago, are you still thinking about that?"

"I'm fine, don't worry."

"I understand."

Hearing Yuna directly close the topic made Fang Lin not ask any further.

......

"It turns out our goals are the same, yes."

Fang Lin and Yuna were now standing in front of the entrance of the Hunter Union.

"I happen to have some business here. So don't get me wrong, yeah." Yuna explained.

"Hm?" Fang Lin did not understand Yuna's words, yet he chose to ignore her and walked into the Hunter Guild.

"Then, I'll take my Hunter Identity Card first."

Fang Lin said so and without waiting for a response from Yuna, he immediately went away.

Yuna momentarily observed Fang Lin in silence, then focused on doing her business in this place.

On the other hand, Fang Lin got to the reception desk and he found the same woman as before.

He seemed to have not realized Fang Lin's whereabouts.

"Excuse me, I want to take my Hunter Identity Card."

After Fang Lin said so, the receptionist woman raised her head and her breath was immediately restrained when she found a young man she met one week ago.

"W-w... A-you.." the receptionist woman immediately stuttered before standing up from her seat, she then turned around and began to unpack the contents of the shelf behind her.

A while later, the receptionist woman faced Fang Lin and extended her hands holding a yellow card.

"Is that mine?" Fang Lin asked to be sure, and the receptionist woman immediately nodded strongly.

Fang Lin unhesitatingly took the yellow card, then looked at it for a moment.

"Thank you." Fang Lin slightly lowered his head before storing the Identity card into his inventory.

"Um, Master Fang Lin?"

When Fang Lin was about to leave from there, the female receptionist called out her name.

"What's wrong?" Fang Lin slightly tilted his head.

"I-it's... W-will you date me?" ask the receptionist with a red face like a tomato.

Fang Lin instantly choked on his own breath when he heard that, he paused for a moment before rejecting it firmly.

"That's, yeah... W-forgive me for wasting your time." the receptionist lowered her head as low as possible.

Fang Lin did not bother him too much and then walked away to the mission board which was not far from the reception desk was located.
