Inching, Shadow approached the wooden table in the corner. Several times he jumped to reach the edge of the table. Make it a pedestal to stand up, and take the cloth. But the jump is less high.
The pain? He doesn't care anymore. Several times his ears heard the crackling of his stiff bones being forced to move to the extreme. However, despite trying so hard, he was still unable to bring his body up.
Shadow crying at the foot of the table. The most heart-wrenching and heart-wrenching sound that people could possibly hear. Desperation re-emerged until he was angry with himself.
“Damn You!” he was angry at who.
His hand hit the foot of the table with full force. The wood broke and made its surface slanted. Several stainless bowls and cups slid down. By reflex he nodded. The hand protects the head, afraid that something heavy on top will fall. The stuff was scattered on the floor with a clashing sound, very noisy.
After waiting for a while and no one else fell, he looked around. His eyes searched for napkins among all the scattered. Found her. A thin napkin that should not be used to lift hot objects. But Shadow doesn't care. With a slight inching, he managed to obtain it. Not only that, he even has a spoon now.
His face was beaming as he headed towards the fireplace. “Finally can eat,” murmur happy.
Because his body had not recovered properly and as a result of forcing himself, his body continued to tremble. It was a signal that he had crossed the threshold of tolerable pain. Hunger gives him the extra energy to get through everything he would not have been able to do before.
The hot bowl was now in front of him. Impatiently opened a small lid that keeps food from soot that may fall from the fireplace wall. Excitedly scooped up something that was inside the bowl. However, what was seen on top of that wooden spoon, did not live up to his expectations.
“Is this human food?” he mumbled in disbelief. He stared at something soft with a shape that was not funny, almost black on a spoon.
Once again there was a protest sound from his stomach. This time it was no longer a groan, but a cry of hunger. His head shook in despair. “Did you bribe me with food like this, Falcon?” snarl.
By fighting the nausea, the blowing of something that was somehow on the spoon. Closing your eyes, the first mouth goes into your mouth. His face seemed to suffer greatly when he had to chew the food. But he swallowed it too, in order to reconcile the protests of the worms in the stomach.
The second time, he did not need to close his eyes again. The spoonful of the strange food then blew for a while and immediately entered the mouth. To throw away the disgust, Shadow would immediately swallow the hot meal.
Slowly but surely, the contents of one bowl ludes and moves to his stomach which instantly becomes more comfortable. The belching sound sounded strong, indicating that his stomach was full.
“OK, whatever it is. I'm grateful to you, Falcon. You're a bad chef!” he screamed while laughing loudly.
The trembling that his body had felt, gradually subsided. Without a care, he laid it down
tired body on the cold floor. Outside, the rain had stopped. The sounds of the night beasts began to sound. His ears listened attentively.
“Where is this place?” thought surprised.
Strange noises outside, sometimes scaring him. Fear, because he is helpless, only alone.
Then he sat down and looked at the table that was no longer shaped. Plus the fire in the fireplace is getting smaller. His head was flailing here and there looking for firewood reserves. Falcon should keep a stockpile of firewood inside the house so as not to get wet. But Shadow didn't find him.
“You're already broken. Wait for Falcon to come back to fix you. Now you must be willing to be the warmer of the house.”
His hands pulled all the legs of the table that were still standing. Some things fell back.
“Ouch! Just barely!” He saw a large sharp knife commonly used in
kitchen, fell by her feet.
Then the woods were dragged into the fireplace and thrown into it. “Thank you for your devotion!”
His eyes opened because he heard strange noises outside the house. However, this time it was not too easy for him to be able to get up and sit on the floor.
His body ached like it was stoned. For a moment he could only grimace holding all that flavor.
An hour passed in silence. The pain and full stomach made his body rest just like that on the floor. “Did I fall asleep?” muttered.
Seen around. The window, which was only given wooden bars, showed the depth of the night out there. All sorts of voices were heard more and more. Suddenly the hair stood up. The sound of a wolf howling sounded out of nowhere.
“What Falcon house is in the middle of the forest?”
Fear looks real in her green eyes. The eyes kept on
watch for doors that are sometimes knocked down by the wind that goes in and out again.
“Could a wolf or wild boar get in here?”
Unknowingly, his body inched to the edge of the bed he had occupied earlier.
Then take pains to climb up again and crouch there.
Since then his eyes can no longer be closed. Worried about forest animals
a slithering animal that enters the house and devours it.
