Chapter 39. Lennox von Amstel 2's

Hugo's residence is deserted. A sense of silence that presents various meanings. For Shadow, that silence brought anxiety to him. Worried about the fate of his son.

For Frisia, the silence became something tense. Because her husband had issued a frightening threat, if the health of her stepson ended badly!

For some wives who marry without love, divorce is desirable. And Hugo knew very well that Frisia had repeatedly provoked his anger for Hugo to divorce her. So, Hugo wouldn't give that happiness to Frisia.

“You will get the most cruel punishment, than you can imagine in your little head!” threaten Hugo coldly.

And now, he's back locked up in his room, not allowed to be served.

Eleven o'clock in the night, someone knocked on Shadow's bedroom door. The woman opened it and saw the guard standing there.

“Master calls you to young master's room!” he said tell.

“Tak wait a long time, Shadow immediately walked quickly to Moreno's room. He wants to know what's going on. Since then he had been restless and could only walk back and forth in the room while praying.

After his tap got a call from inside, Shadow went inside Moreno's room. There were Hugo and Moreno who looked lethargic.

“Mm ... Tu-young Master!” happy shouting. He almost called his son wrong in front of Hugo.

“Shadow ...” Moreno answered weakly. His hands just automatically stretched out.

Shadow is approaching a bit. However, of course he could not hug Moreno. There was Hugo sitting on the edge of the bed.

“Yes, Young master, you can rest again. I will keep until the morning,” Shadow said calming the boy.

“You stay here. The doctor is gone and tomorrow will check his progress again.” Hugo stood up from his seat.

“Good, Mr.” Shadow bowed his head slightly. Trying to hide his happy smile from Hugo's sight.

After the door of the room closed, he quickly crouched down near the bed and hugged his son with a trembling body.

“Thank God .. You're okay. I was so scared earlier,” Shadow.

“I'm sorry, don't keep an eye on the food that goes into your mouth. I'm so sloppy. It won't happen twice. Whoever did this, if your father finds it, I'll flatter him!” furious Shadow emotion.

“What is merujak?” ask Moreno weakly.

“Hemm ... sort of hack it up to ***,” Shadow replied with a smile.

The little boy chuckled.

“Sleep again. I will accompany you until the doctor comes tomorrow morning,” said Shadow softly.

The two hugged and Shadow patted Moreno on the back while muttering a lullaby.

Behind the slightly open door, Moreno peeked and eavesdropped on his son's interaction with Shadow. He did not feel any awkwardness in Shadow's attitude. He could feel the sincerity of the nanny's affection for his son. Then he left after the atmosphere inside the room turned silent. The two fell asleep while hugging.

“How are you doing now? Did you know that your great uncle was so anxious to see you sick that day?” lennox asked, trying to take Moreno's heart.

The boy who was playing in the room with Shadow, looking at his nanny, asked for an opinion. Shadow nodded.

Moreno stood up and walked over to where Lennox stood. He received the gift given by his uncle. “Thank you, Uncle,” reply flat.

“Are you playing? Can big uncle come with you?”

The question doesn't need an answer. Because he was already sitting on the floor facing the circle of the large train tracks that Moreno made. The boy and Shadow couldn't possibly reject the person who was already sitting down and seemed interested in their game.

Moreno put his gift on the table. But Lennox immediately prevented it.

“Open it. Add the tracks and the train here. Let's see ... where we can add one more station,” he said while thinking seriously.

Without feeling, the three people played until lunchtime arrived. Lennox ended up shamelessly, eating along with Frisia, Shadow and Moreno.

He still wanted to play after that, if not prevented Shadow. “Moreno should take a nap. He is still under the supervision of a doctor.”

“Oh, okay. Happy little driver break! Big uncle will bring you the latest series train after returning from abroad,” he said with a friendly smile. Moreno nodded with sparkling eyes. After their playing time earlier, he was no longer afraid of Lennox.

“I'm leaving, Shadow. Do you want souvenirs from abroad? Just tell me what you want. If I find it, I'll definitely bring it,” Lennox friendly bargain.

“No need, Sir. Thank you.” Shadow rejected Lennox's hospitality.

“Alright, goodbye!”

Lennox did not impose his will. He will approach Shadow slowly. To him Shadow was a girl that was very different from most girls he knew.

If other girls were offered gifts, they would have some sort of dream item list and would start mentioning the most expensive things on that list when offered. Shadow's attitude made his spirit grow even more. He wanted a woman like Shadow in his chaotic life.

“You didn't offer me souvenirs?” frisian Syndic. He could see that Lennox's concern was not sincere. It was obvious, even by the servants, that the young man was eyeing Shadow.

“I still want long life!” lennox said as it passed. “Good bye Frisia!”

Frisia became pouting. Lennox reminds me that he belongs to Hugo! So he doesn't want to mince words that could lead to misunderstanding with Hugo and his entire extended family. The consequences can be very dangerous and threaten his already precarious position!

To outsiders, Lennox was a young noble lord no less handsome than Hugo. He was quite respected because of the surname attached to him. It's just that, the situation in his extended family, his position is not as respectful.

Lennox has an ordinary citizen mother, has a lower position than Hugo. His father is the older brother of Hugo. And his father was very obedient, loyal, and sacrificed his heart and mind for the survival of the Von Amstel family until he died of pain due to overwork.

In the list of the heirs of the Von Amstel family, if Damon is their grandfather's death, then the heir of the first order is Hugo! In fact, if you look at the order of birth and parents, it should be Lennox who became the first heir and who will be the leader of the family name Von Amstel. But it didn't happen.

Lennox was a little unhappy with Damon von Amstel's favoritism towards him. His father used to complain. Why his hard work was never appreciated by his father, just because he insisted on marrying Lennox's mother who was a commoner. It is very different from Hugo's father who married the noble girl he loved. Although only a small noble and also not rich, but it is still a big family!
